seeing you guys run at a collegiate level is so amazing, the fact that you are managing to keep up and everything just shows us that when you guys are at stanford you guys are gonna be going even crazier can't wait. good job guys
Westwood is a very cool setting. Looks like Lex got quite a few hills in that easy 8 miler. Enjoy the rest of your senior years and hope you guys can take down a national record or two before your seasons end.
Content request: Tips for new track runners adapting to spikes after only wearing road shoes. Love y'all's stuff, and enjoying watching y'all progress. Have a great outdoor season!!
Personally, I ran for the first time in spikes two or three weeks ago and ran two meets in them so far. What I've learned is (for me at least) to keep my spikes very tightly tied and to stay up on your toes as best as you can. And to not be like those people that drag their spikes all along the concrete.
@@hectixix2665 Right. But there is also the adaptation to wearing spikes, as opposed to road shoes. Road shoes have drops, while most spikes are zero-drop shoes or very minimal drops. Road shoes have lots of cushion, where most spikes have little-to-no cushion. There is also the difference between sprint spikes, middle distance spikes, and long distance spikes (plus cross country spikes). I know from my past experience, and hearing about others, that shin splints or achilles injuries can result from not taking the time to get adapted to spikes. I'd be interested to see how others do it. (For example, I did it badly and got shin splints; others I know have also done it badly and gotten shin splints or achilles injuries.) There are lots of videos out there on "what are spikes" and "do they help you run faster," but nothing really talking about the process of getting used to spikes (plus would be good to hear more about how and when to train with them; i.e. not all workouts, but how often?). May not be up L&L's alley, but they do well in high school running and I would be curious about their experiences with spikes, what worked for them, and didn't work for them. (As I said, my experiences and friends' experience were, well, difficult. Lol. Granted, 20+ years ago now, but I've read others facing similar issues with spikes these days.)
ive always wanted you guys to run an 800. after watching how good the sahlman brothers did in the 800, i was very interested to see what kind of 800 snap you guys were in. good job to both of you those are some crazy times‼️
Hey Lex and Leo great video! I’m a freshman in high school and have ran 4:46 in the mile and I need some advice to run a 4 second PR to qualify for a big meet and I only have one more chance. Love watching your videos and i’m exited to see what l&l has planned for the future!
Holy moly when your a senior your gonna be fast as heck your already fast as heck and only gonna get faster I’m a junior my pr is 5:05 2 more chances to break it next year I wanna run sub 4:40
I think it really depends on the race, but if you can find a situation where the race is likely to be even split, you can hang on to that and get pulled through a faster time
you guys are seriously inspiring!!! this video was very well made and you guys are definitely changing the youtube and running world. can wait to see the great u both will accomplish in the future!🔥🔥
I would have gotten smoked by these guys in hs 2:06/4:45/10:12/16:47 But I did eat 3.5 whoppers with extra pickles one day. Everything normal, extra pickles. Top that lex and Leo
Awesome video guys! Also did you guys know that Spencer - The Athlete Special youtuber challenged you guys to do the Kipchoge workout, where you run at Kipchoge's berlin marathon pace!? Can't wait to see a video like that!!! Spencer said you guys would destroy the challenge:)
I enjoy following you guys and applaud your accomplishments. Still curious as to why you guys aren't running on Newbury Park's Track team this season. Is there some place where a person can find out what's up with that?
There are some CIF technicalities that make it difficult for us to race Highschool sanctioned races this season. We have a video explaining it coming out soon.
Hi L@L I love watching your guyzes videos. It inspires me as a ms xctf runner. I would love to know what your favorite speed workout is for I am competing the the ms national track competition for the mile. Thanks it’d mean a lot of you responded
Our whataburger Is yalls in and out. Like we eat whataburger non stop kinda bad but soo good after a race like the fact that it's only avaliable in Texas Louisiana and like north Carolina and South Carolina is crazy But I think it's moving other places
Focus on being mentally present the whole race, and be very keen to position yourself where you want to be. dont let the race push you around or dictate your position. make sure to come into it with a plan and execute that plan to the best of your ability.
I have a question. Do you guys run in the California Track state finals? Bc you guys have made videos ab cross country state meets but it seems your only track videos are at big invites and pro races
It’s just slang for being filled with lactic acid at the end of a race. It makes you feel weak and your form often starts to break down. And then that’s when it starts to look and feel like swimming.
Truly inspirational to see both of you already running at a collegiate level 😄
Not sure why, but this video was just hilarious. Y'all left so many candid moments in 😂 Great races all around!
Ik bro, the hiccups and the honking was just so funny
Thank you! We are trying to keep things a bit candid and funny
"This was a swim meet" that part had me😂
I love how hyped these videos get me for my track meets and the rest of the week! Let’s hope this motivates me to break 2:00 this time🤞🏼
SAME. watching people run fast and hard makes me want to run fast
Same here to! Hoping I can make the 800 at my next meet and break 2:05
Let’s gooo good luck

Lol fast food before race day and still ran 1:51. What a goat
Looking alot better Lex! Leo is still striding along. Keep it up guys!!!
You guys should do a shoe roundup, pretty interesting to see an 8 mile easy run in the streakflys
Great runs L&L - You both run at painful speeds but enjoy yourselves!
I'm obsessed with your videos and the soundtrack!!
That slow-mo shot at the start of the 800 was nice
Y’all are amazing! Best of luck in the races to come
really wish these guys would of joined their brother Nico at NAU. Would of been an epic continuation of family running.
Awesome races to both of you! Watching you guys succeed is so much fun, and can’t wait to continue following your NCAA careers😊

Lovely content! What a fun trip this was!
Indeed!
Great Video L&L. I love watching y’all run

w video, whenever you guys post it genuinely makes my day.
Thank you Lex & Leo.
Nothing better than an exploration run

can you guys drop a video on strength training and/or drills you do (if you do any)? love watching all your vids btw, I’m a hs xctf athlete here
Competing against collegiate athletes while still in high school is just incredible to see!
you can never go wrong with in n out. it’s just levels above any other fast food burger places
Indeed - Lex
Hey L&L, i would love if in one video you show all your warm up. Love your content.
Good idea !
I miss running like that the burning feeling that u feel when u know ur at the breaking point but u just gotta push through
Such a good feeling
These guys are so good that college races are the only real competition for them 😂
one of my favorite videos so far I think. such good vibes
Magic places and Great spirit! Ex athlete from Italy😊
I enjoyed the added clips of the car sightings.
Love the videos. When featuring meets and racing it would be good to be given dates, either in the video itself or in the description.
This video gonna be absolutely 🔥
Let’s go this is awesome right befor my regional meet to hopefully go to state so this will definitely hype me up
Triple Triple and a Double Double is impressive! Nice racing, too.
😂😂
I would have gotten smoked by these guys in hs
2:06/4:45/10:12/16:47
But I did eat 3.5 whoppers with extra pickles one day. Everything normal, extra pickles. Top that lex and Leo
7:34 that's not lemonade😂
Great races guys!
3:42 isn’t a fast high school 1500, it’s just not.
can you run that?
@@williammoss2525 it’s a joke from their coach. He’s known for saying 4:20 isn’t fast for a high school mile
🤣
so glad you added furniture again, I havent heard it in a while
Great job! We need some new spike reviews here because those definitely don’t look like dragonflys
I am pretty sure you guys mentioned it in a previous video, but I'd like to ask if your willing to make a car channel.
👀👀
LOVING THESE CONSISTENT UPLOADS!!!
Lex drop the hair routine
You guys are so fun to watch

Oh yes we know, and we really want to do the challenge. Hopefully we can work it into training
another 🔥 video
They built an in n out in the Woodlands, TX and I think it’s the only one in TX. I tried it and it’s pretty good, and it’s also cheap
I enjoy following you guys and applaud your accomplishments. Still curious as to why you guys aren't running on Newbury Park's Track team this season. Is there some place where a person can find out what's up with that?
Running pro races instead of highscool races
There are some CIF technicalities that make it difficult for us to race Highschool sanctioned races this season. We have a video explaining it coming out soon.
Lex has the most fire drip; word😬🔥🔥🎨
another great video
Lovely stuff boys
Great race and fun!!
Insane repetition with the videos, keep it Lex and Leo

Great video! What is the song that starts at 1:25, you guys play it a lot, but I can't figure out what it is. Thanks!
Dylan Sitts - Mountain Book
@@henrybaun thanks!
I am most excited for the World’s 1500. I think it’s going to be completely unpredictable.
no, very predictable , JK for the win, 😉
Beasts.
Do y’all avoid stoplights on running routes or is it just whtvr
Do you guys have a consolidated list of the songs you use for each video's soundtrack? Or, it's just listed in every video description?
Huge car guy here too
Those sunglasses are 🔥 what are they?
There Oakley I’m pretty sure
@@SebOsiowy I found them they are actually Ruby Project's
Yes they are!
Where are you guys racing next?
L&L are y'all going to try run in the NEW vaporfly 3's?
I'd love to try them
Did Lex actually order all that at Inn and out? I would expect these boys to be straight grilled chicken
Video Idea, go through your times from middle school up till you leave for college as a progression video so people have goals to shoot for
Thats a cool one! we should do that
L&L look like they are built for grand tours. Michael Woods vibes.
tacos 1989 are really good!
1500m dash💀
As a swimmer I can confirm, they were swimmin
😂
I’m an 8th grade distance runner, and I am running the mile at a big meet, I was wondering if anybody has tips on what to think about during my race
Focus on being mentally present the whole race, and be very keen to position yourself where you want to be. dont let the race push you around or dictate your position. make sure to come into it with a plan and execute that plan to the best of your ability.
No one’s talking about that delicious lemonade they found!?!?
Leo looked like he was cruising in the 1500
7:34 LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I was wondering if either of you have thought abt going after the 2 mile national hd record
I have a question. Do you guys run in the California Track state finals? Bc you guys have made videos ab cross country state meets but it seems your only track videos are at big invites and pro races
We wont this year due to a few reasons. We have a video about this coming soon
Ok, thanks!
Sam is my dream girl fr.
What does “swimming” mean?
It’s just slang for being filled with lactic acid at the end of a race. It makes you feel weak and your form often starts to break down. And then that’s when it starts to look and feel like swimming.
Sam and me both: Uh, 1500 dash?
What spikes do you wear for track?
i miss in n out bruh
🔥🔥🔥
Which ones better oncloud 1500m or dragons flys
dragonflies are built around longer distances. oncloud is more specific to mid distances
We will probably make a UA-cam video comparing the two
A bottle of lemonade I found . . . 7:34
lol
I love me some yellow mile
Sllllooooooooooooooooooomoooooooooo. Sheesh.
😂
What was going on in that underground place... y'all looked worried like someone was about to mug you
it was the parking garage at UCLA, a bunch of people were screaming, honking, and driving fast through the garage so we were a bit off put lol
What brand of glasses do you guys wear in the videos?
Oakleys
Not Oakley, Rudy Project! I highly recommend them
Hello.
if that young lady is going to UCLA why are they going to Stanford?
What classes are those
Math and science.
Assuming you mean glasses, Rudy project
What PEDs do you guys use? Cheers.
