The looks you created are beautiful, and you might not be surprised to learn that I've yet to come across a video wherein the creator was actually into the jewelry collection.
Yeah the website swatches were terrible! I never would have picked up the Jewels and Gem palette just by looking at those pictures, you can't even tell that there are any duochromes in the palette. They made it seem like there are just muted mattes and weak satin shimmers. Every single youtube channel made it look a million times better. Ideally the should start doing what Lethal Cosmetics does and include videos of swatches in motion on different skin colors.
I'm really glad I ordered the Jewel and gems palette, I was so bumped I missed the Xmas release. I don't know why, but I feel like since that Xmas , their colourstories got so much more interesting and elevated that anything else they had before, its like a different person designed the shade combinations. Or maybe they just got inspired by all the amazing creator collabs they had in recent years and started to think differently about the colours. In any case I can't wait for what they'll do next. And yeah, I so agree about the swatches, the original brand swatches are so bad, it also looks like they are just computer generated so I always look for some real swatches on IG or YT

OE looks great on you. They don't really do it for me though. Just meh. I fully agree with you on swatches and spelling errors. There's a level of professionalism that is missing when these aren't caught.

Beautiful looks! tbh I'd been really set on getting something from OE this year but after the rollout with the Christmas palettes and then the formulas with their singles, they're off my wishlist. Seeing their lack of customer service over the last half year also has been a huge turn off as someone looking to be potential customer, and the things you pointed out just let me know I made the right decision for now. I'm honestly raising my eyebrow at the jewelry thing too. I don't need jewelry from my makeup company?? So weird!

I have both Christmas palettes and the Hela palette. I like them but I don’t reach for them like I thought I would just because some of the formulas are kind of weird, like they’re hard pressed and don’t pick up easily or they’re on the complete opposite end and are super creamy but then they crease! Mattes are great though, and I especially love the pastel shades. But they’re hard for me to do a complete look with, often I’ll just use them with other palettes. I love the artwork on the packaging though. I think I just need to find the best way to apply them maybe idk. After the single shadow fiasco I’m a little concerned about the brand and don’t plan on buying any more eyeshadow from them. But I do want a couple of their blushes from the Solmane collection.. they’re stunning! Except then I won’t buy again. Typos bother me too and I also hate how they do swatches on three different fair to light skintones, I truly don’t get it. Like they really can’t find a single person with a deep or dark skintone? It’s just ridiculous. I just think there are a lot of great indie palettes out there from other brands with beautiful color stories and more consistent formulas that aren’t hard to work with. Kinda hate to say it. It looks like the type of jewelry you'd buy for a little girl, expecting her to lose it at any time... Extremely cheap, kitschy stuff... Charging what they do for it seems VERY cash-grabby and it's kinda disappointing. Obviously they want to make money, that's great, but now they're trying to sell us garbage? Lame.

Oden’s Eye has for ages been my favorite brand. Yet I agree about the shade names. Some are misspelled (Merry Christmas had “hot coco”), some are not even real words. ELATEDNESS? 😶 And why put that right next to the actual word: ELATION? “Passion” is a shade name from the Norn’s palette in a totally different color. I I also agree about the swatches. I literally said that to a friend last night that the computer-generated swatches on similar skin tones are totally unhelpful.

i have one palette from them, the hela palette, and that's been it. i wasn't wowed by their shimmers or mattes. the aesthetics are nice but the actual quality of product is meh at best. i found their mattes kind of difficult to work with despite what everyone else says and the shimmers in that palette were lackluster despite what swatches made them out to be. i still try to use it from time to time but i have other things in my collection that are just easier/more enjoyable to use

Omg I never noticed the spelling mistakes in the palettes! Just looked at my christmas eve one and it says lemob tart instead of lemon lol. I have to say I find it mostly funny but I can see why people dont like it. Completely agree with the swatches being terrible on the sites. I wanted to buy the blushes from solmåne but the swatches doesn't even say which one is which, I always look at videos instead of their site to know what the products look like.

I have a few of their palettes and while i like their collab palettes like Giant Wolves, Hela, and Flora Story. I just never use them bc of the hard panning with the multichromes mainly and some of the other shimmers. Even though scotch tape will fix it to a degree. I'm on the fence of buying anymore even though these look stunning. Also I never see O.E. interact with their customers which throws me off. They just promote their products.

the stone/rock palette looks like it reuses quite a few colors from previous releases. like i could def get similar looks using the hela palette. i don't have an issue with the style of jewelry they chose, but the quality and price point don't match for me. it looks cheap (probs because it is) and should be cheaper. i could go to korea or japan and get that type of jewelry for like 5 bucks (unless it's handmade in japan which would then be more expensive but the quality would be better too than whatever odens eye did)
I got my Oden’s eye and the quality is subpar. I’ve tried Sheglam palettes before out of curiosity and believe me, when I found myself shaken and surprised as to the similar quality Sheglam has with Oden’s eye! The mattes are good but the shimmers are hard pan (not flaky, not creamy and not pigmented at all!) Then I looked into reviews and found a lot of people in reddit complaining about Oden’s eye. Wow! I thought I just got a bad batch but not the case. Perhaps the palettes given to influencers for PR are good but different from the palettes they sell to customers. It is such a waste of money. Will never purchase Oden’s Eye again. Also, I never realized it is made in china! I thought it is a European brand. Nothing wrong with Chinese brands if that is what I expect like Florasis and Kaleidos. But to advertise themselves as Swedish, I would expect it being European made and knowing european made makeup are great. This one is garbage. Wish I never purchased. And i wish I read comments here before purchasing
I used to be a fan of odens eye but I don't like how every product comes sealed in plastic wrap, its quite wasteful. Their CS with other customers, especially around the single shadows has made me hesitate as well. This release looks nice but its not something for me. As always, a great video :)
The direction of this brand, or the lack of it really, baffles me. Have they completely dropped the nordic mythology gimmick? With this cheap kids' jewelery, who is the target audience? It seems they're trying anything and everything to see what resonates with people. I find this brand shady and don't buy from them, the quality of the diversa palettes was a big disappointment.
I'm confused or maybe not 😅they get so much hype on YT for very mixed quality. Every single palette I have /had from them has shimmers that hard panned with few first uses and shimmers that dried out or became crumbly really fast. Also dry chalky feeling mattes. And I have seen so many others say the same. Yet majority of reviewers never mention a thing about it! Even if you can see the hard pan and bland swatches with your own eyes...

Just that lately the comparisons have been less than what we liked of her channel, she used to do comparisons of the “special shades” in palettes and also among the other palettes that the brand has, it’s just a comment, it’s a request, not an order and even this comment helps her as interaction of her video
I’ve done a lot of comparisons recently, and noted on wanting them on eyeshadow palettes as well. It’s starting to feel redundant to me to swatch, especially jewelled multichromes, they’re so common now.

The first palette I got was the saga of freya cat palette I really had difficulties with some of the colors.

Nothing wrong with Chinese brands if that is what I expect like Florasis and Kaleidos. But to advertise themselves as Swedish, I would expect it being European made and knowing european made makeup are great. This one is garbage. Wish I never purchased. And i wish I read comments here before purchasing
I used to be a fan of odens eye but I don't like how every product comes sealed in plastic wrap, its quite wasteful. Their CS with other customers, especially around the single shadows has made me hesitate as well. This release looks nice but its not something for me.

The direction of this brand, or the lack of it really, baffles me. Have they completely dropped the nordic mythology gimmick? With this cheap kids' jewelery, who is the target audience? It seems they're trying anything and everything to see what resonates with people. I find this brand shady and don't buy from them, the quality of the diversa palettes was a big disappointment.
I'm confused or maybe not 😅they get so much hype on YT for very mixed quality. Every single palette I have /had from them has shimmers that hard panned with few first uses and shimmers that dried out or became crumbly really fast. Also dry chalky feeling mattes. And I have seen so many others say the same. Yet majority of reviewers never mention a thing about it! Even if you can see the hard pan and bland swatches with your own eyes...
@@exomake_mehorololo My experience was similar with the quality. And it is indeed curious how mixed the reviews are between influencers and regular customers.
@@exomake_mehorololo i def thought i was crazy because i found the mattes to be difficult to work with compared to other mattes i own and the shimmers to be lackluster. i don't think the brand is worth the hype at all!
I can not stand hard pan. Its just the unforgivable misstep a company makes with me. Its the same reasons I dislike Adept.

She does comparisons in her videos for singles, it would be insanely time consuming to do comparisons it for every shade in two 15-pan palettes

Just that lately the comparisons have been less than what we liked of her channel, she used to do comparisons of the “special shades” in palettes and also among the other palettes that the brand has, it’s just a comment, it’s a request, not an order and even this comment helps her as interaction of her video
I’ve done a lot of comparisons recently, and noted on wanting them on eyeshadow palettes as well. It’s starting to feel redundant to me to swatch, especially jewelled multichromes, they’re so common now.
