I wore a multichrome to my dentist once and him and his assistant were so amazed that I do a multichrome everytime. If they have to be that close to my face, might as well make it interesting for them 😂
I think I’m the only one who prefers the Jewels & Gem palette. I think it will pair wonderfully with the Christmas Eve palette! They seem very compatible ❤

I prefer it too! I'm so bummed I missed the Christmas Eve, I love blues, grays and mauves and Jewels & Gem is exactly that colorful neutral palette I've been missing. I also already have enough palettes with greens.

I remember distinctly the feeling of relief I got when I realized that I was old enough that I could sit out on TikTok and no one would question it: "Oh, sweet, I don't have to do that!"
I don’t think the Jewel one is speaking to me but that Stone one 100% is.
I stopped the video to type this: I love ❤❤your MAKEUP DIARY series and just like you, I don't watch shorts ( I don't have a TIC TOC account and I am so sick of IG being 90% advertisement) - Please continue as you have been doing! I can sit and watch 1 makeup diary with 327 looks LOL and revisit it multiple times as I have done than to watch 1 short (YT, IG or tic toc) content. I don't mind the voice over, I love watching you share your creativity whether live so to speak like in this video or voice over like in the makeup diaries. hugs and thank you 🤗🥰

Odens eye gets me every time! Their pallettes look so appealing to me. That said, I'm sorry to say that I have been disappointed by them. I have tried four pallettes at this point, and I have decluttered three already. The only one I still own, is the Hella one, which I also don't really love. Norn is the one I kept for quite a while because I loved the colors of the shimmers and I loved the black in there. But, as did most of them, the shimmers hard panned. It is very hard to pick them up on a brush, and they are a pain to apply with the fingers. They performed worse over time. Same goes for Hella. The colors in it are unique to my collection, so I will keep it for now, but I just don't love the formula.
It almost feels like it must be me, because everybody loves Odens eye, but honestly I don't get it. The colorstories are always on point, but I know I will end up disappointed.
I'm with you. I HATE short form content.

Lordy, I end up making a dramatic look..even when I'm intending to do a more "wearable" look. I totally relate. The struggle is real!
I enjoyed this format! I like the other way too but this is like your real time reactions to applying the shades which I appreciate. I didn't even know they were releasing new palettes until I started seeing people post about them (stupid IG algorithm 😂) - gonna pass for now but maybe later!
I just got the email about them today and I am so excited I have so many green eyeshadows. I think I’m gonna do the cool toned blue one. I have had this brand on my 2023 try list after being absolutely heartbroken missing the Christmas limited edition release.
I love that they both look grungy and neutral but interesting. I like a good neutral look every now and then, but I want it to have something special or different about it.

All the looks are fabulous as always. Odens eye doesn’t disappoint
Very interesting new release😊 really pretty colours. A lot of Oden's Eye products outside of the eye shadows have an Asian vibe! Like the jewellery is totally something you see a Chinese or Korean brand bring out. Same for their lip products which were basically Korean formula dupes down to the colours and scent. It's a fun mix with their palette themes
As far as I know the owner of Oden’s Eye is Swedish but with Chinese roots 😊 (Not sure if she’s born in China or just parents/grandparents from China.)
I agree with you on doing less intricate looks for your 1st impressions. I looked at a lot of looks on the Lure palette on here and on Instagram, and the looks were just so over the top. I couldn't imagine caring to recreate a look displayed, and I thought they were overall pretty ugly. It made it easy to talk myself out of the palette, though. If I don't like looks made with the palette, there isn't much point buying it.
Odens Eye's formula is an easy pass for me. The shimmers seem to hard pan at least 50% of the time, and I find the mattes hard to work with. I watch the release videos anyway to see if anyone will mention it and because Oden's Eye aesthetic really is great. I wish I loved the formula. I guess it saves me some money, though 🤷♀️
You're not alone 😢I have the same issue with hard panning and I avoid using fingers. I also notice some shimmers get dry really fast or are already dried on arrival and then basically crumble to pieces... A pain to use and don't look nice on the eye at all. Overall the shimmers seem to decline in quality in about a year

I like any format of multi look video 💚💚 really enjoyed this video but I've also been loving the ones with the voiceovers. If i had to choose... it is fun hearing you think out loud in the moment-from how you're choosing shades and placement to whatever else comes to mind while you work.
Also definitely relate re: long vs short form content. I watch a lot of youtube, but almost always while I do other stuff, so I like videos that are at least 20mins, up to like 2h lol. I refuse to have a tiktok account because I will 100% get couchlocked flipping from video to video to video until I look up and 4h have passed. I don't need to encourage my raging adhd THAT much...
I love a tutorial and review long version format. But I am going to watch you no matter if you stand on your head. 😁

These are both so stunning.
As an aside , I'm shy about Odens Eye due to hard pan shimmers and I'm a shimmer-holic. Even one of the shades in my Hele palette did, as well as all the Norns. However, the Hele palette shade still works I just get more instant with it.

The green in the Stone and Rock palette is one of the most amazing shades I've ever seen, good thing it shifts a less impressive (by my preference) blue so i dont have to buy the entire palette for one shadow

Stone reminds me of “Urd”, only more well-rounded, but I think I have all these special across my “Merry Christmas” and other OE palettes. The Jewels palette reminds me of “Christmas Eve” which I didn’t pick up, so maybe that one is in my future. Thank you for the video, Annette!

These are both such gorgeous colour stories but I feel like they’re just too neutral for me and I wouldn’t get as much use as I’d want to out of them! But then I think about the duochromes and I’m like ahhhhh ❤

I can see me using these palettes sooooo much in the fall time. I'm definitely going to try to get my hands on these, though I know they'll probably sell out super super quick.
Youll probably have a week at least until it sells out. Odens eye tends to be pretty good about keeping enough for the first launch, and they will restock as well!
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner I hope so! I always get so nervous around new launches because I've gotten burned by Colourpop so many times - where they rip things right out of your cart and then instantly sell out. I've never tried Oden's Eye, so I'm pretty stoked about this launch!
I really like when you condense the looks and do a voice over because I’m more interested in what the palette can do and if there’s any dud or tricky shades. For a tutorial on blending I look for your actual tutorial videos where you explain brushes, placement and techniques.
I ordered the jewels and gems one along with a necklace and earrings.
I was going to buy the Chucky palette for the unique mattes but I don't like make-up themed after serial killers. I know it's not that deep but idc. I actually thought about deptting it or painting over the cover but when I saw this I immediately bought it because it had some of those mattes I was attracted to from the Chucky glamlite palette.
Well shite. Now i have to get both😭 lol these are all sooooo stunning wow!😮😮😮😮
Hi Annette ! Thank you again for this amazing video. I really like that you focus on the eyes. I'm just like you, I enjoy palettes and the rest isn't that important ^^ (like blush, highlighter - I only use the Noctilucent one xD - or even lips products I'm not that into). I like this way better for videos but the other way is fine too. Do whatever you are more confortable with ;-). I really like Oden but I'm gonna pass on this one because the colorstories don't speak to me but they are nice palettes tough. I totally agree with you that the jewelries go well with the theme and the palettes. Have a great day !
The jewels palette almost reminds me of the Verona palette those 3 top right and middle
How does sozzle compare to other dark reds? Is it pink or purple leaning? I have club nebula and the chucky palette for the grungy reds but im always on a hunt for a more grungy true red and i would absolutely use all these other shades 😍
Just wondering if the shadows creased? I have been experiencing alot of creasing with oden eye shimmers. Have tried lots of different primers and glitter glues.
to put a bracelet on yourself, take a thread, put it through the hole/ring/circle you want to use, then bend the thread holding both ends with your 2 middle fingers inside your palm. Take the bracelet wrap it around your hand, and clip it. If you can't reach it, loosen the grip on the thread a little bit🥰 MUCH easier then it sounds when explaining it😅
How do you get your colours to stay so vibrant? Is it more the eye primer you use, or do you really pack on the colour? No matter what I do, eyeshadows always seem to just blend away to nothing on me.
Hmm the primer def helps, and I always go in heavy with my shadows, I never tap off my brush before applying to my eye and I tend to press it into my lid rather that sweeping. Then I start blending the edges after. Obviously using good quality eyeshadows helps too, I'm not sure what you normally use?
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner Eyeshadow wise I use a lot of the same brands as you. Primer wise I use the ABH one, but maybe it’s time for a change. I also think that I may need to be a bit braver in my application. Thanks for the reply.
❤❤❤ wonderful palettes! I Guess you can do unlimited looks with boths. They are going directly to my wish list… however, I do have a dilemma. If you had to make a decision of only a one right now purchase, what would you pick up: these palettes or the one from Glamlite (Chucky Collection)

I personally like these way more than the chucky palette, but thats probably more of a color preference thing. That one i def wont reach for much. Depends what u like to wear and will make u happy 😃

I got the freya palette and Anjelicas palette and I don't like them at all. They're very sheer and the shimmers don't shimmer and got hard pan the 2nd time I used them. They both performed like cheap kids make up, like sidewalk chalk.

Is the jewellery hypoallergenic do you know? I'm allergic to a lot of metals so can only wear go!d,silver& surgical grade steel in my ears. 💜💜💜💜

I do not like heart shaped jewelry 😝 that is a miss for me. By the way, I feel just like you about Tik Tok, don't want to fall into the trap! I really loved all the looks. I thinks I'l pass on this collection, I already have lots of eyeshadow palettes, I do love Oden's Eye formula though

I can't remember if you tried the og freya palette but im almost certain that came out in 2019! The solmane came out in 2020 iirc & so did the og alva. I have been a fan (because of you) for three years as well! I absolutely love green eyeshadow but because I do I feel like I own every tone in that palette. I'm definitely picking up the cool toned palette! I've wanted the huda rose quartz forever & it reminds me of that. 🩷🩶
