- Today we take a look at Portakabin Ltd, Potterton Way, Smethwick, Birmingham B66 1AT.
We move out the way for a van to exit the site but the driver spots us and objects to us filming.
We eventually speak to a manager who was much better.
Google Maps 360 Degree Panoramic Drone Photo - Too Windy.
Enjoy!

FINALLY a boss that's proud of his company, Bryan was great
Telling someone they’re “not allowed” to record private property is not curiosity it’s authoritarian.
Not allowed.....😂
Listen, Chris, calm down mate
thanks for stating the obvious
@@user-mz6rr7qk9p 😂😂😂
The reputation of a good company is in the hands of some idiots at the gate
Lol lol lol lol
Well said, imagine how much trade that company has lost with them ignorant things representing at first point of contact!
The reputation of this company is know as no good . the idiots at the gate can not change that .
😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
Very wise words that a company's reputation lies in the hands of bellends! Many managing directors would be wells advised to give thought to them and ensure that ANYONE who MIGHT be the first to respond to any sort of visitor treats them with respect and not aggression.
Keep up the good work DJ.
I connect the electrical supplies to these on jobs all over the UK and Portakabin are by far the best! Pir lights, soundproof rooms, aircon, waterless urinals the list goes on. Top notch product
The "yer not allowed to video" line is where the employee mixes up internal policy, with external photography rights.
The result of five generations of sibling parents
@@ianpennington5856 😀😀😀
What a great guy Brian was who completely understood the situation, If I was younger and looking for a job I’d like to work for Brian.
I think the issuing of the hard hat is too late , the brain damage has been done 😢
.. I know i shouldn't laugh but 😂
He’s only wearing the hard hat to hold in the slush in
Marvelous ! Imagine that as an armed MOD cop. Nae humour, not like the old cops, they had nothing to prove.
They were mostly vets.
I think that cap is what they wear post lobotomy to prevent what’s left of their brain falling out
Great content again man
I was going to say exactly the same thing.
These idiots can't comprehend they have no jurisdiction off their own property.
I would rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
Big respect to Brian, store boy was a plonker though and let the side down.
I bloody loved Brian. Solid guy. A real asset to the company. I've walked away significantly more informed about the company and it just proves that you get your bad apples in the company but you shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water. Brian undid alot of the initial damage the first guy and security did to the company/ brand.
Great guy, reminds me of the guys I used to work with in Whitbread Scotland in Glasgow,Scottish, English,Irish,Welsh, loads of vets,Managing Director absolute gent and wartime freind of Marshal Tito.
If the British Army ,Navy or Airforce had had a campaighn in the previous thirty five years,we had a veteran'We youngsters loved em.@@SamSam-xb1ur
This was saved from a PR disaster by a friendly and professional company manager.
Agreed 💯👍
Even if the company manager explains it to the storeman I bet he still wouldn't get it! It is a mindset!
Brian did more for the reutation of Portakabin than a ton of media advertising.
100%
I’d go portakabin just to keep that fella in a job
Top man Brian
@@d7jjk So,I like that Fella.
It makes me wonder how many of the thousands of viewers of this video who are in a position that will now consider using Portakabin after listening to the explanations and passion of Brian. Far better than any advertising campaign if companies embraced this kind of coverage. If I was still working as a chief engineer I would certainly consider them for temporary or permanent installations. Looking back I have had multiple buildings constructed with far less facilities than these buildings. People still look on them as site cabins, temporary rooms or toilets.
Brian at the end knew his onions. Its rare that companies keep staff more than a few years.
Hats off to him he was passionate and interesting.
I bet they are rubbing their hands together with the school roof situation! I wonder which MP is a shareholder in this? 😂
Haha, too true
They will be a few... Lending money to their mates to buy shares...it's all perfectly legal... 🧐
It will be hospital roofs next...Like DJ quoted from their site, offices, theatres and EVERYTHING between! I might buy shares ASAP, oh yeh... I ain't got a pot 2 pee in 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I bet that's true
Same mps that had shares in the cladding companies 😡👊👌🏴
The fellow you were speaking with represented the company well and gave out some very good information. Regarding the first guy (store manager) at the gate - it just proves that even stupid people can find employment. 👍🏼
Stores is a vital part of Logistics. He may be be very competent within his remit and might benefit from this interaction, if he goes home and contemplates how he can develop his public relations facet.
Is this gentleman a van driver.....don't tell him I'm a storeman Pike.
I thought exactly the same! Comedy gold!
michaelwood .... "stupid boy" ha ha ha ha ha ha
It's private land, I'll ring the council 🤦 You couldn't make it up 😂🤡
I don’t think he’d understand the joke if it was explained to him, lol. Poor guy
I don't think there is a council anymore there😄😄😄😄
That clown 🤡 thick as wood 🪵 😂😂😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
@@7king8debs79 Yawn.
He was saying he was going to ring the council to check with them whether it was a public or private road.
Brian…..what a lovely guy. Calm, respectful and willing to pass on some of the knowledge he has gained over 38 years. Well played sir! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What a save by the old fella...a credit to the company... good on him , give him a pay rise
That device on his hard hat is there to stop whatever brain cells are left inside from escaping!!
I think we should all go there just to talk to Brian.
He was great.
Hats off to Brian, top bloke!
As stated in the video i also thought this was going down hill, The last member of staff "Brian" was doing a job well done! Great video DJ, As always it is appriciated
Brian , Thankyou for the information , that was really very interesting , explainable of information of how the productivity of cabins ect
your character i/we find very charming & gentleman of complete integrity , Thankyou 🙏
brilliant report DJ A 👌
Thanks Brian for sharing about Portakabins; thanks DJ! 👍
Seen many planning applications to place a Portakabin on a site as a temporary structure. Unique one was a police station in Kent installed a portakabin for community policing offices. The temporary structure installed on a flat roof of a one storey extension and external stairs. Still in use many years later. In the US, Atco is popular temporary structure supplier.
Community policing is as much a white elephant to waste taxpayers money as those 'mobility' ramps that no one ever uses.
The security guy at the end was really chilled and informative. At least the earlier guy didn't descent himself into a public meltdown.
I luv a public meltdown.....😂
He had to up his valium intake, hes still in the bar cafe.
Brian has shone his company in a great light. Value employee.
Really informative once the correct guy came out :)
OK people. Learn from Brian. What a great ambassador for Portakabin. I think her deserves to be promoted and receive a healthy pay rise. Well done sir.
Full marks for being "disability friendly" with the access ramp!!
Thankyou DJ!
a access ramp that no one can use
What a fantastic audit. Brian was the perfect employee. What I love about DJ is sharing the positive videos such as this just not the confrontational ones
the manager was a credit to his company . Very calm and informative.
the thing on his cap is probably a tracker to find him when he gets separated from reality 😁
Every business you visit needs a Brian! We now know much more about the excellent product they produce. He turned a good video into a great video. Well done Brian!
Well done to Brian, old school, excellent and can see why he has been there 34 years 🙂
38
Second guy was very nice and represented the company very well 👍
Saved by the lovely representative at the end wiling to chat and educate us. He deserves a pat on the back from his managers.
At least they've got one great employee ☺
It’s called a bump cap. Not as substantial or protective as a hard hat. You will see them in a lot of places where workers can bump their head, rather than for falling items.
Good job Brian 👍
What a fantastic advert for Portakabin Brian was...I have used their kit for years on site, top quality product. Brian should get a raise for being friendly and informative..
Fortunately Simon the Storeman remembered he had to go back to work.
"You're not allowed to video record!" he keeps saying repeatedly. These people are unbelievable. Why can't they just mind their own business like DJ is minding his?
That storeman has been getting his legal knowledge from facebook again.
He was a pleasant chap at the end, he stopped just short of giving you a guided tour of one of those cabins.
Brian, of Portakabin, was a total credit to this great company!
Brian saves the day. Well done Brian you are a credit to Portacabin. However Simon is a fool.
'kabin'
Simon has ass liking attitude of the store man
Brian, what a star. Other organisations take note.
This is a very interesting company. The guy who was there for 38yrs talking all about it is awesome, i just love this kind of stuff, flat-pack houses or whatever, tiny houses, all cool stuff, big fan of it.
That Brian is sooo proud of the company and a very nice chap. He deserves a pay rise. (You too!) Great video, enjoyed watching it.
Thank God for Brian ...saved the day ...hope he goes back & tells the other 2 donuts about filming ...doh!
Portacabin give Brian a pay rise old school friendly and proud of your product he’s a credit to your company
Brian was brilliant, informative and a great representative of the company ( 38 years ) - that's the way to do it !
$hit weather for your day off. Brian was a good bloke 👍
Bet he has cooking foil under that cap to keep the voices out.
It still shocks me how people don't know the law of the land. Why don't they just check before making themselves look stupid! Well done Dj for doing what you do!
Did you then before watching these videos
💥💥nab Simons hat and new boots give him something to moan about😂 Same name as me dad was called big shout to Brian nice fellow👋
What a pleasant chap Brian was, it’s a pity not more companies are so accommodating and forthcoming with the information, I found it really interesting!! Thanks DJ, good video!!
Tweedledum and Tweedledee showed themselves up. Thank God for Brian.
Employees work for the company and the company owns the property. The employee should be working and mind his own business. I like the older employee who more reasonable and willing to talk about his company and their products 👍👏👏. I think he was a supervisor.
Well done brian, friendly and happy to explane the company, great employee, shame about the first man, he let them down
I guess the first guy was the obligatory company Doughnut. The last guy was a star informative friendly and polite a real credit to Portakabin.
What a great guy Brian is. A Great Advertisement for this Company. No Insider comments but a Great Interaction.
Thankfully Brian came to the rescue and gave us some great information today
Not gonna knock those guy’s as Brian came across fantastically got a good set up I’d say
What a cool bloke Brian is. A credit to the company. He was totally unfazed by the camera. Who knew Portakabins could be so interesting. Nice one DJ.
Examining his hat & boots HAHA!
What a fantastic embasdoder Brian was for Portacabin
Well done Brian. A credit to Portakabin ..... that man deserves a bonus 👍
Ring the policeman the ,nice friendly policeman . here come the feelings police to bring him a hanky and hold his hand .
Except for the guy at the beginning the other bloke that had a conversation with you made up for that. Decent vid DJ.
Simple Simon says , I will call the police 😮
I know, it’s bad to mock the afflicted😂
Hey leave US alone !!
Thank goodness for Brian. Store Manager is a star
Wish more of videos were like this with someone explaining everything and advertising the business well done Brian
Thanks Brian very informative hats of to you top guy who knew his stuff you certainly redeemed the company from the half wit 😂😂absolutely clueless keep him away from the public at all cost he would call the police think nothing about it and get you arrested what a fool stick him back in the store room and don't let him out
See, that guy was a dude! Really interesting what he was telling us!
Brian for a keyring!.......he deserved a bag load!
Should start telling them to call the non emergency number instead of 999 when they threaten to call the police, since that's literally what that number is for and there's clearly no emergency and using that number is wasting police time.
If they ring 101 then I will be long gone by the time they even get through to the operator 🤣🤣
@@DJAUDITS A pleasant side effect. Of course we all know none of them will do it.
It's not for the auditor to tell them what to do and by past experiences they won't listen anyway
Should have given Brian a keyring seeing as he was so helpful
u could see why he`s been there 38 yrs polite curtious and glad to give the company a good look
38 years actually. Long before the video camera was invented.....😂
I doubt he's ever seen a camera before
Brian for marketing manager!
Brian was great. Interesting to hear the difference between East and West Midlands accents too.
Why are people such divs. I really do wish we could see their faces when they see the video. 😂😂😂😂
What a nice guy Brian was 👏
move on? dunno who be thinks he is
Shush 😂
Well done Brian ... saved the day.
And we all learned a little bit more.
Been in a few portacabins onsite .when it's raining and snowing you don't want to leave the cabins very nicely set out with heaters and cooking and toilet facilities
Brian shows how it should be done :)
Fantastic video and Brian was Awesome!!!
Now they have the opportunity to get some positive promotion and well done to Brian for being a fantastic representative for the company
There’s always one jobsworth who wants to go outside the scope of his job, muppet mind your business leave it to security
The difference between those two employees was like night and day.
"He's just been here for years"..probably beyond help by now 😂
Those two at the beginning 😅😅...they say tits come in pairs...😂
if someone refuses to identify they are nobody. why take orders from a nobody?
Well done BRIAN 🎉 top banana saved that interaction with good old midlands common sense.
Brian is an example of what you want to see when coming to any site. I can't understand how one could react like the first pair, I mean it's not Fort Knox is it?
One can be critical and protective of once work side becaus today you get all sorts but talking to a member of public in the way the pair did is not something becoming when representing a company like this one. Sonthing to teach staff about. The reaction of contacting a superior, apsolutlie correct but flaping the gum, no, not correct.
What a lovely man he is who explained everything 😊
38 years of knowledge
Lovely old boy, with a wealth of experience. Genuine care and interest in the business he works for, well done Brian.
Brian is amazing and very educative. Nice 'view in the kitchen' and interesting video material this way. Thanks, Brian!
I think Brian deserves a pay rise. He is an asset to that company. Well informed, talkative, pleasant, erudite.
You did your company proud mate.
The guys at the gate didn’t do the company any favours tho.
But I focus on the positive and Brian deserves a gold star ⭐️
Well done D.J as always. 😀👍
