Hi! You initially choose some files from your macbook and you access them on VM. So what happens if you want to add more files to virtual machine from your macbook? How do you do that?
While configuring the VM we have enabled macOS downloads folder to be shared and accessed inside VM. Then inside Ubuntu VM we have mounted the macOS downloads Directory through VirtFS. Now From MacOS, if you add any files to the download directory it can be accessed inside ubuntu VM, the same way, inside Ubuntu VM, you can copy and paste any files to the host Shared directory and can be accessed from macOS downloads directory.

Also Monterey lost support for Nvidia and AMD with Cannonical and coding skills you can make your own kernel adapt Gnome43 or unity 7.I disagree almost nothing in Apple is free they charge apple care and even under that warranty they will screw you over. Final Cut Pro Kde Gimp and win has what photoshop lol 😂. The vast majority of the compatibility tools are for people who can't go without win or apple 🍏 products. The issue with Mac they hate Linux just like Windows, but I guarantee you set flatpaks Nala remove crap apps that slow you down install Gimp OBS Kde editor and other pro programs of Linux and you will have a faster software then anything flatpaks plus Nala snaps purged Gnome 43 or Unity 7 and you will have speeds faster then the original Os. I have a Hellios 300 while on windows I could not start my turbo button without being plugged in while on Cannonical it is faster then stock and also in order to make games work fast Esynch must be edited and proton tools all of em must be installed all 6-7 of em.
Make Jammy faster by:
-Purge all snaps
-Purge firefox
-Install opera
-Install Brave
-Install Whatsie
-Install Telegram
-Install flatpak repo
-Flatpak Gnome store
-Install Machine learning
-Install Lutris
-Install Steam
-Install Gimp
-Install Spotify
-Install Netflix
-Install text editor
-Install 7 zip file
-Install OBS and Kde
-Purge Mahjong, Solitare
-Purge Rytham box
-Enable Ubuntu pro
-Install Nala and Wallpaper
-Install battery systems
If you encounter any problems with Wifi, Bluetooth, or any other do not panic there is most likely a Dev that would aid mac users. The thing is there is a different way of installing apple hardware, but there is most likely a coder and programmer that has already wrote the code to make it function Linux is a community while Apple is a cult of ignorant sheep 🐑.... Cyber security Linux coders and programers Linux Apple and Windows all derived from Linux. Red Hat aka Fedora and Cannonical aka Ubuntu ain't going anywhere.
Fedora 36,Parrot Arra and Ubuntu 22,04 lts pro version as well as Zorin 16,02 are distros on another level....
During the Ubuntu install, under network configurations, it would not assign me an IP address and only offered me to "continue without network connections" Please help
when trying to reopen the VM I am facing the following error:
QEMU error: QEMU exited from an error: qemu-aarch64-softmmu: -device virtio-9p-pci,fsdev=virtfs0,mount_tag=share: cannot initialize fsdev 'virtfs0': failed to open '/Users/vatsaldadia/Desktop/UTM shared': Operation not permitted
what should I do next
wow thanks for the clear explanation
Why would you install Ubuntu Server instead of directly installing Ubuntu Desktop? Is there an added benefit to using Ubuntu Server?
ubuntu desktop is not stable , if you install that you ran into lot of issues. Its better to use stable ubuntu server image and on top of it you could install desktop environment.
great tutorial!! super helpful
If anyone has a freeze problem (curtin command in-target) remove nic from virtualizer (UTM)
how to make gestures and keyboard shortcuts work?
Great video but would be great if you could explain the configuration of the Proxy Server!
Will try
@@kskroyaltech thank you so much!
Hi Ksk I have a cuestion how can I install programs inside of the virtual machine?
You can use APT Package manager or Flatpak.
@kskroyaltech thank you so much for replying bro I'm new in this IT world it would be great if you make a tutorial
@kskroyaltech you think is possible install Ubuntu studio in UTM? I don't have idea how can I do in my Mac M1
For me the installation process is stuck at "Setting UP GNOME Desktop or GUI" where it says "INFO Waiting for automatic snapd restart" and the progress bar stays at 0%. I am emulating Ubuntu 20.04.1 for amd because I need to run programms on this architecture
Yes it gets stuck for a while. You need to wait for around 1 Hour to get it complete.
