    If you don't have a steamer, you can use a tea kettle or anything that creates steam. You could even just boil water on the stove and hold the hat over it, doing your best to focus on the brim area.

If you've got a bigger head like me go for that and it will actually hold the curve for your head better rather than loosing it's shape when you stick it on your head or worse have it poking you in the head while wearing it giving you a headache in your sinuses. • @daysandwords
      @daysandwords 3 місяці тому

      Use more steam and curve it more (around a smaller container maybe). The more it heats up, the more it will be malleable only until it's cool.

  • @iamgregorioo
    @iamgregorioo Рік тому +20

    But does that brim stay curved permanently?

    • @daysandwords
      @daysandwords 3 місяці тому

      Yes because the heat makes the plastic malleable, but once it cools down again it goes rigid. This is actually how the 39Thirty and 49Forty range are curved from new.

      Completely agree. Cause after watchin’ another video of a ‘UA-camr’ using this identical method last week, I decided to try this on one of my hats. Except instead of using a steamer to soften up the brim, I just boiled a big ass pot of water on the stove, held brim above said boiling water for no more than a minute tops & what do you know, it worked like a mofo’in charm, as well. Getting the exact same result as this cat got. If not even better, in my humble opinion.

    • @exaviorgonzales4155
      @exaviorgonzales4155 Рік тому +4

      You don't need a steamer. Boiling water works as well. But definitely something to make the brim softer definitely helps. Bc, when you get the shape you want and allow it to cool down, that curve is pretty crispy. It's pretty convenient if you don't want to keep hand curving your hat throughout the day
