It would be really cool if you could do like a v2 of this tutorial but go into depth in terms of how you are creating each individual sound and the process of adding it into the track if that makes sense. Actually also how you're structuring the whole song like i dont understand as someone who is new to producing.
As a beginner, it looks like you're dragging in a lot of pre-made sounds e.g. your 808's. Maybe you're not but thats what it looks like to me
Basically, I would love to be able to re-create what you created here because I think it would hugely help me in terms of knowing how to make a 'finished' beat.
I know that was not the purpose of your video here, but if you were to make one like that - it would be hugely valuable to somebody like me!

He turned most of the patterns into audio clips you can do basically everything on your piano roll flip them into "sounds" and then mess around with em
quick tip for scales in piano roll (fl 20): you can click the arrow in the top left then go view-> scale highlighting-> select root note (in this case D#/Eb) then repeat and click what type of scale (in this case major). This will make the notes in the scale a brighter shade than the rest for the whole piano roll for everything you put in.

He's also making it seem really complicated but a lot of what he's doing can be done in a much more simple and fluid way. Watch some videos man and download any daw of your choice and you'll be surprised how quickly you can put something together you like

crazy how you can make really cool stuff without even knowing much music theory.
I spent years of my life in private music lessons so I know a lot about theory but because of that, producing is super intimidating for me.. I can't even start making anything without thinking things like "What about if I try to impliment polyrhythms?" or "How about I try to make a song in the fourth mode of double harmonic major?".. Ya, cool.. I know some obscure shit but I can't make anything with it atm.

@@dbredred1 no. You need a heavily edited hoverbass: Take a saw-signal, add minimum 3 voices to it, unison spread it, take out some heights via eq, use distortion plugins, filters, flangers, reverbs and delays.

would be cool if u can show us the sound design process of the synths, thats the biggest struggle for me
sound design is largely experimentation and a little bit of luck. Try choosing presets in certain VSTs and then adding FX plugins to them. Once you add an effect just choose random presets and adjust them to something that sounds interesting. And don’t stop at just one. In doing this you’ll learn more about the plugins themselves. Good luck bro

Fl studio has all the scales in midi form you can pull out with the stamp tab, should be next to the magnet in the drop down tools on the top left of piano roll. It also has every kind of chord available to pull out too.
