Shoe brands that sell for high prices on eBay in 2020

- In this video I am sharing some shoe brands that sell for over $50 dollars in used condition. Several of these brands you will see are selling consistently for over $100! These are brands I've found out thrifting that I had never heard of talked about by other UA-cam channels. Hopefully you will gain at least a couple new brands that you hadn't been familiar with and learn what to look for when you are sourcing at your local thrift stores.
Brands mentioned in this video: Bragano, Artioli, A. Testoni, Brooks Brothers, Salvatore Ferragamo, Neil M., Gordon Rush, Chanel, Dr. Martens, Loake, Belvedere, Florsheim Imperial.
A Goodyear welt is a strip of leather that is sewn around the bottom edge of a shoe, attached to both the insole and the upper. The welt can then be easily unstitched, which thus detaches the sole without damaging the rest of the shoe, meaning it can be replaced time and time again as it is worn down.

Thanks for making this video. I do similar videos for Women's clothes but I was clueless about men's. I actually found a lot of these brands at my local thrift store, I just need to get them on Ebay!!

Just invest in some great shoe polish ( doc martens, Florsheim etc.) And a variety of brushes . I already had some, but I recently purchased a huge plastic case of a variety of shoe polish, many new and great quality as well brushes for $10.00 at the salvation army. I am Good at cleaning them, reconditioning, buffing etc. You can always find videos on UA-cam about it.

Hey Robert! New here! I haven't seen your other videos, but Blundstone Chelsea boots are a shoe a came across recently that I didn't know where worth much. Apparently it is a big brand name in Canada. The boots I had sold within 24 hours, so high demand!

Great info and thanks for sharing. So is there a market for women's dress shoes on ebay such as the Chanel? And if so, do you include women's shoes in your inventory? I'm thinking that if you're at the Goodwill looking for men's shoes maybe looking for and reselling women's shoes too would add to time and source efficiency.
I definitely sell womens shoes as well, in fact, I just sold my first pair of Chanel ballet shoes last week. I do well with Dansko, SAS, Dr. Martens, Ferragamo. Im still expanding on the womens side but there are definite brand crossovers from mens to womens.

how can you tell the size difference ? it says 8.5 on my shoe but it fits my foot size at 11.5?
13:50 Goodyear welted means the sole can be replaced entirely. BTW Loake is UK brand, good quality, very traditional.
I used to own a pair of Loake's when I worked in finance district in UK. Nice quality, classic shoes
Great content. I liked your tie video as well. What is your sell rate for a pair of shoes in this video. Will they all be sold within 1 month of listing or 6 months of listing. Thanks for what you do.
I would say most of my shoes take anywhere between 1 and 6 months to sell. I don't have a really quick average sell through rate because I price things on the higher side with best offers. I also have a lot of items that are over 6 months as well for this reason. I don't necessarily recommend that approach if you have storage issues and I am trying to revisit any of these listings for myself to move them out of inventory but it hasn't been a priority as everything seems to sell eventually and my margins are pretty large.

Pretty sure a Goodwill employee set those women's Chanel's on the top rack in the men's section. I frequently find a teenage girl's blouse in the middle of the men's shirts or some such secreted away item.
I found a pair of Johnny Was size 8 shorts NWT in the “linens.” I’m quite sure they were squirreled away for an employee.
My goodwill are always writing on the soles. What do you use to get rid of permanent marker written on the bottom of the shoe?

In Arizona, Goodwill sends a coupon out each month for 20% off your whole purchase if you spend $20 or more. I believe there are other similar offers available in other states. You may need to sign up for the email list. Hope that helps!

The Loake and itailian croc shoes are the prize. Loake shoes can not be bought from England direct. Hard to come by unless your in NY. The crocs retail up to 1k.
I sold a pair for 40.00 plus shipping He wanted his money back cuz he said they were stretched out. I let him keep the shoes and I had to eat the shipping of 15.00 Bravano what do you do in that situation
I don't know about you but before selling put a little effort into conditioning and polishing the shoe. They will look much better and will sell quicker and set a good impression to the buyer.
How many listings do you average, and how many sales per month? Average profit? How long does it usually take on average to sell a pair?

You want to look in the ebay sold listings to see how many sold in the last 90 days and what type of prices they sold for
How do you know if the chanel is real? I always hesitate buying that kind of brand because of the authenticity.
AS you deal with more products you start to recognize the quality that will rule out the vast majority of knockoffs, there are also resources online for identifying real from fake. When in doubt, I will buy them knowing I have a few days to do research and return them or worst case scenario you are out $10 but that is just my risk vs reward mentality.

What? 20% Ebay coupon for Goodwill? Where do I find that?
So in Arizona where I live, Goodwill sends out a monthly coupon for 20% off if you spend more than $20. Doesn't apply to the 50% off items but I almost always find at least $20 worth in a trip to make sure I lower each item cost as much as possible

Every Goodwill is run differently. In my area there are 2 different divisions of Goodwill that run about 8 different stores. The Northern division has about 4 of the stores and the only deals they do are 1/2 off tags. The Eastern division has the other 4 stores and they have a loyalty program where you get $5 for every $100 you spend. But these stores often gouge the brands they know about. Others that aren't near me do a rewards points program. Some of the employees are not very good at offering these programs, so be sure to ask what's available.

Total mistake on my part, the coupon comes from Goodwill in my market not from eBay. In Arizona, you can get 20% off your order anytime you spend at least $20

Ive had a couple pairs of belvederes, one sold in a couple weeks and the other took several months, but both earned me over $100 net profit once they sold. Condition, style, and material is also important

Good brands to look for but, i think alot of these prices are highly exaggerated, Most Ferragamo’s in preowned condition unless they are boots are only going to go for about $25-$40, Same with Florsheim imperial. There are very few styles that will sell at that higher price margin.....there definitely are some but most will not be, you cant just learn the brand, thats the logic the thrift stores use, they learn a brand and then all of a sudden everything in that brand is marked up.

I agree you have to look at more details than just the brand as I hopefully conveyed in the video, but there are currently over 1800 used mens ferragamos that have sold in the last 90 days over $75 and hardly any of those are boots. I think condition and style are essential as well as great photos and overall quality listing. I would say this applies across all brands. Ferragamos have always garnered me very high prices but I have been very selective with what shoes I pick up, even among great brands like Ferragamos.
