I didn't know i was with a narcissist till after. I cut him off by blocking him before changing my number. He's now stalking, calling and harassing the man who has my old #. I found out recently this was happening and called my old#. It's a man and he thinks this man is my lover. He says he's been calling since he got my old#. It's so creepy I have a gross feeling inside. Any advice for me??
It is terrifying. Some of us are lucky to be alive. Pychopaths are so different from the garden variety narc. And I'm not minimizing anyone's experience w the standard narc in any way. My heart is w you for your suffering. But not all narcs are psychopaths. And ALL psychopaths are narcs. They are killers. They are cognitive. I’ve known him for 20 years. I believe wholeheartedly he has NPD. I just realized over the last few years that I was in a Narcissistic cycle. I experienced the Love bomb, devalue and discard for years but wasn’t aware. I was made to feel like I was the problem. My trauma bond is almost completely broken 🙏🏿👏🏾

Even my sobriety date celebration. My kids birthdays too. Our anniversary. Valentines Day. I either got beat up on these occasions, sometimes extreme violence. Or he would disappear and be a no show. Or he would show up but be mean and miserable with no gifts or card or anything for me or the kids. Or he would steal the gifts and sell for drugs. 3 years of that crap. I dont know why I stayed and put up with that hell and torment so long. I'm grateful for my 2 children I got from that relationship. It literally was hell on earth though.
I remember that in 2015 ,we were going to spend Christmas together had all these plans. Then supposedly he was deathly ill with the flu and told me I should stay away until he felt better. The day after Christmas I went to go check on him and he was nowhere to be found. When he finally did answer his phone he said he was away helping a friend with a car but he would never tell me who the friend was . I stated to him that he sure got over the flu very quickly after just 24 hours earlier telling me how deathly ill he was . He got very upset at me accused me of not believing him . He was also making many comments like ( what you don't trust me) and the entire time we were arguing I kept asking him who was this friend he was supposedly off spending time with helping them with their car he would never tell me, I knew in my gut it was another woman.
Mine told me one night he was deathly ill. He told me NOT to cone over well...j had intuition and showed up at 6 am. Door was unlocked and without preparing myself. I opened his bedroom door and in his bed embraced with another woman naked both were. I almost threw up. I had a panic attack. He never acknowledged the incedent...then later told me k was lying I didnt sed anything. Lol

wow very true summary. My mom didn't make money for the last 16 years. She loves to spend all my dad's money. After their divorce, she replied on me to give her all the money to spend. After I started to set boundary in the last two years, she will guilt trip me and say nasty words about me that I abandon her which is absolutely not true. Because I pay her entire mortgage she doesn't have money to pay, and still give her other money to support her.
The narcissist will never be done with anyone who rejected them. Best advice you’ll ever get is to block them. Dave was absolutely right in the very beginning of his videos. It worked for me. I was Mrs.B for a year and now I’m Mrs.A to the T. The narcissist has tried to contact my family to no end and they want nothing to do with him. They see in me the damage he did. Everytime the narc would say all they want is "peace" which I realize really means I want u to stay quiet or forgive and forget whatever I do wrong to u or lie about. Just like me and all the exes they say nobody gave them peace and everyone gives them peace until we open our mouths to defend ourselves by calling them out.
You mentioned that they're never at peace and it brought a reflection to me that I always thought was strange. She would never sit on the couch with me in the living room and just relax . Every time I suggested watching a movie or a TV show and simply just chilling out she would always jump up a couple minutes into the movie and begin to do things in the kitchen or in the living room. She could never sit still

The manipulation, being called a disease, the sudden accusatory and defense mode when nothing has happened...i have actually been left on the hwy to walk 2 hours home because of such an incident.... now, a month with no contact and i dread that moment if it happens. I know there is a new supply. I can feel it. But she wont last, just as i didnt and his first wife didn't either. Such a sad mess. Mine lies about not being on social media but simply changes names. It was all hidden from me until after wedding day.

You make a very important point about understanding the difference between someone with narcissistic traits and a person with actual narcissistic personality disorder. It is important to be able to distinguish between the two. Before my relationship with a person with NPD, I was familiar with narcissism and narcissistic traits, but had no real knowledge or understanding of narcissistic personality disorder or the narcissistic abuse cycle. I often wonder if I would have escaped the situation had I been aware beforehand, which is why it's so important for people to fully understand this typically covert disorder and spellbinding, insidious abuse cycle. When my girlfriend was yelling at me about ridiculous things, I could see that she just had no peace in her. But I asked her is there anything that you could do to help you find peace. She responded... Peace? No peace. It reminded me of the movie Independence Day when the President asked the alien if there was a chance for peace and the alien said Peace? No peace. It was true. She had no desire for peace, and she proceeded with the torment.
Great video Dave! This is so true. Even on lovely vacations with my ex narc, he would destroy the happiness we could have had. I would suddenly become triangulated, or he would start singing a song out loud about beautiful women or wanting to be with a past girlfriend. He knew exactly how to push my buttons. I'm so laid back, but more than once I warned him while on vacation that he would need to sleep on the beach and go hungry if he picked another fight with me. It was toxic. Since I was the only one who worked and paid for everything, you would think he would be thankful, but nope. I'm glad to be away from him. Loneliness is better than what I used to deal with.

Yes I had a couple court appearances and yes her whole statement was all lies but my attorney and I had proof to disprove her lies and the court granted my restraining order. So far it hasn't been broken and she hasn't tried to contact me and that was just about a year ago
I used to be be a Police officer and 11 yr. Vet. I got smart. Last few years with the thing, I recorded everything. The cheating, lies and all I could get on him. Judge granted my Order based on evidence and he never showed up for court.

I'm definitely looking for the signs of narcissism in anyone I encounter from now on. This has been one of the hardest lessons of my life, and I'm damn sure not repeating it, again. If we pay attention to red flags and acknowledge them right away, we can avoid many of these types of situations❤
I can relate, and there's nothing anyone can say/do to remove the pain or the memories. But life is so much better without being attached to an evil turd, and along with the wisdom we have to share , we'll have the ability to love on a deeper level than before. Whicj i said to hr & she went to great lenghts to get me to think i was wrong but i was right. Everythingnyou siad is true in the most toxic relationship i've ever been in & thank god i'm out of it now & do not want her back because I know what she is she hates me for it. However it is all a blessing as i've finally lost all wanting her around me. Even my psychologisy says i'll never have serenity while she's in my life & he's so right as the longer she's been out of my life the more i'm getting back to 'me' where i was before she recruited meto drain what she could out of me. Dave, six months ago, finally after 15 years, we were doing the BEST we had ever done. Got married, and BAM nothing to complain about so she gave me something to ruminate on. Divorce, after two months! Now THAT is a demon.
Mine accused me of 'stalking' the concubine he had lined up right before we got married. I found out he had her lined up after the wedding of course...I also found out the best man knew all along and never told me. He would never spill the beans on who he was with, where he was...I had to become a PI basically to figure it all out. All he gave me was gaslighting and word salads. He moved in with her and her kids 1200 miles away, and I had to find out where he was living to send him divorce papers. He didn't think I'd ever find him to send him divorce papers. He later broke a divorce decree too and moved again, and I found him that time as well to send the papers to threaten another lawsuit. Sucks to be him - he can run, but he can't hide. 🤣🤣🤣
I left April 2017 and have gone ghost, no contact, whatever (don´t answer anything!) even thou he tries. I know he´s with a new woman, can´t feel anything but sorry for her. But Wednesday morning this week I walked out of a store and got into my car and there he was! Standing right beside my car and obviously wanted to talk to me. @@cw4350 it does make sense. Grieving a narc rel dynamics is like no other. A lot for things we need to grieve. We grieve the fake persona, the person we thought it was, loss time, money, people, opportunities..etc.. This might help, surround yourself with healthy people who believe and love you. Talk to people you know who experienced the same. Exercise, do the things that are life giving to you, through that you will have a sense again of who you truly are. Lastly, spend more time meditating the word of God. If does bring life. He will restore what was been stolen from you. Peace, love and joy be with you. God Bless.

Everytime the narc would say all they want is "peace" which I realize really means I want u to stay quiet or forgive and forget whatever I do wrong to u or lie about. Just like me and all the exes they say nobody gave them peace and everyone gives them peace until we open our mouths to defend ourselves by calling them out.

You mentioned that they're never at peace and it brought a reflection to me that I always thought was strange. She would never sit on the couch with me in the living room and just relax . Every time I suggested watching a movie or a TV show and simply just chilling out she would always jump up a couple minutes into the movie and begin to do things in the kitchen or in the living room. She could never sit still
Wow everything you say is so right on. The manipulation, being called a disease, the sudden accusatory and defense mode when nothing has happened...i have actually been left on the hwy to walk 2 hours home because of such an incident.... now, a month with no contact and i dread that moment if it happens. I know there is a new supply. I can feel it. But she wont last, just as i didnt and his first wife didn't either. Such a sad mess. Mine lies about not being on social media but simply changes names. It was all hidden from me until after wedding day.

Mine would do the same thing we would be walking in a crowd and then suddenly he would disappear I would turn to look for him like where the F did he go and there he was the wack job standing off the side looking at me with a smirk on his face getting his rocks off . Had same deal, he strolled up about a half hour later. I told him im never gonna go shop with him again. He said..good! Depressing head games, draining misery. NC & life is way better. And now I love shopping again! Fresh life! God is good!
The narc used to walk 10 paces ahead and disappear too, my theory is he had spotted a side piece and was avoiding being seen with me!

Before my relationship with a person with NPD, I was familiar with narcissism and narcissistic traits, but had no real knowledge or understanding of narcissistic personality disorder or the narcissistic abuse cycle. I often wonder if I would have escaped the situation had I been aware beforehand, which is why it's so important for people to fully understand this typically covert disorder and spellbinding, insidious abuse cycle. @@dubliner1303 no, not at all. They are still toxic people and need to be avoided at all costs. It's just those interactions are not going to have the same impact as being in a relationship with someone with NPD and being put through the cycle of narcissistic abuse. That's just my opinion, anyway:)
When my girlfriend was yelling at me about ridiculous things, I could see that she just had no peace in her. But I asked her is there anything that you could do to help you find peace. She responded... Peace? No peace. It reminded me of the movie Independence Day when the President asked the alien if there was a chance for peace and the alien said Peace? No peace. It was true. She had no desire for peace, and she proceeded with the torment.

Even on lovely vacations with my ex narc, he would destroy the happiness we could have had. I would suddenly become triangulated, or he would start singing a song out loud about beautiful women or wanting to be with a past girlfriend. He knew exactly how to push my buttons. I'm so laid back, but more than once I warned him while on vacation that he would need to sleep on the beach and go hungry if he picked another fight with me. It was toxic. Since I was the only one who worked and paid for everything, you would think he would be thankful, but nope. I'm glad to be away from him. Loneliness is better than what I used to deal with.
They can't relax, they are like a rat on a wheel. My ex narc was constantly busy. I couldn't relax either, due to the eggshells.

Yes I had a couple court appearances and yes her whole statement was all lies but my attorney and I had proof to disprove her lies and the court granted my restraining order. So far it hasn't been broken and she hasn't tried to contact me and that was just about a year ago

I used to be be a Police officer and 11 yr. Vet. I got smart. Last few years with the thing, I recorded everything. The cheating, lies and all I could get on him. Judge granted my Order based on evidence and he never showed up for court.

I'm definitely looking for the signs of narcissism in anyone I encounter from now on. This has been one of the hardest lessons of my life, and I'm damn sure not repeating it, again. If we pay attention to red flags and acknowledge them right away, we can avoid many of these types of situations❤

I've hust had 3 years of hell with one of them. I picked her within a month as a "Cold black-heartd ice freak"! Whicj i said to hr & she went to great lenghts to get me to think i was wrong but i was right. Everythingnyou siad is true in the most toxic relationship i've ever been in & thank god i'm out of it now & do not want her back because I know what she is she hates me for it.
However it is all a blessing as i've finally lost all wanting her around me. Even my psychologisy says i'll never have serenity while she's in my life & he's so right as the longer she's been out of my life the more i'm getting back to 'me' where i was before she recruited meto drain what she could out of me.

Dave, six months ago, finally after 15 years, we were doing the BEST we had ever done. Got married, and BAM nothing to complain about so she gave me something to ruminate on. Divorce, after two months! Now THAT is a demon.

Mine accused me of 'stalking' the concubine he had lined up right before we got married. I found out he had her lined up after the wedding of course...I also found out the best man knew all along and never told me. He would never spill the beans on who he was with, where he was...I had to become a PI basically to figure it all out. All he gave me was gaslighting and word salads. He moved in with her and her kids 1200 miles away, and I had to find out where he was living to send him divorce papers. He didn't think I'd ever find him to send him divorce papers. He later broke a divorce decree too and moved again, and I found him that time as well to send the papers to threaten another lawsuit. Sucks to be him - he can run, but he can't hide. 🤣🤣🤣

I left April 2017 and have gone ghost, no contact, whatever (don´t answer anything!) even thou he tries. I know he´s with a new woman, can´t feel anything but sorry for her. But Wednesday morning this week I walked out of a store and got into my car and there he was! Standing right beside my car and obviously wanted to talk to me. Guess who´s pressed the pedal to the floor? Two black stripes on the parking and said to myself; Not today Satan!!! :D

They smile, but its all fake. I never understood what was going on, but I knew something was so wrong. It's like he was living in a world by himself. Needed so much attention..he even try to ruin my relationship with my kids..these ppl are wicked, at all levels from hell. Get out and stay out.

Ex narc used to talk about a girl he was interested in long time ago with jealousy and bitter cause she rejected him. I saw him browsing through her FB profile.
This narc sends me flowers to my job with just his number after a month after I left him, after he embarrassed me and a month goes by and I send me flowers!!!??? Bc I changed my number a month ago. I hate him but I truly am still healing bc I loved him. And he had me questioning my faith on why did I deserve to even meet him why?! What did I do to deserve this. I loved him so much and he said such nice things but when it was bad it was bad but when it was good it was great. But god knows why and I can’t think of why anymore

@@cw4350 it does make sense. Grieving a narc rel dynamics is like no other. A lot for things we need to grieve. We grieve the fake persona, the person we thought it was, loss time, money, people, opportunities..etc..
This might help, surround yourself with healthy people who believe and love you. Talk to people you know who experienced the same. Exercise, do the things that are life giving to you, through that you will have a sense again of who you truly are. Lastly, spend more time meditating the word of God. If does bring life.
