  • Unboxing and Demo of this fantastic little tool. Been a tech for over 30 years and shops I have worked in had coolant exchange equipment. Now I needed something in my home shop for refilling cooling systems without worring about fighting a stubborn air pocket for hours. This little gem did the trick. Check it out. One thing to add about using this tool. The line supplying the new coolant should be primed in some way, otherwise that air trapped in the empty line is going to go into the system. The OEM Tools unit is nice because you can do this by briefly opening the fill valve while you are drawing vacuum.

Create a Vacuum, shut the valve. Open the coolant line valve to suck some coolant into the tube. Shut the valve. Create vacuum till it is done.

@@FD-dh2fusome cars have radiators that do not have caps, and you fill coolant through the tank.

Should the system be drained completely before doing this?

I really like how you don’t have to disconnect the vacuum line and reattach the fuel line like other refill tools

I bought one, it showed up damaged with a bent gauge. Sent it back, new one should be here Tuesday. Hope the new one isn’t damaged too.

Appreciate the review! Quick question. What happens to any extra coolant that isn't drained. Possibly in the block. Typically the bigger trucks we drain at work seem to drain well enough, but the smaller cargo vans etc don't. Typically only lose a gallon or more out of the radiator, fill and run until burped of air.

Could not get it to seal on my 06 avalon xls with the 31mm adapter. Had to use the funnel method

Another thing to add. Premix your coolant and water before introducing it into the system.

What kind of machine did you use to get air flow going on the venturi? Thanks.
