Great stuff lads, this was one fantastic video. I finally managed to get rid of the rats entering my house. My rat problem wasn't coming from the sewers as I've a septic tank and it's all in good shape. They are coming from the surrounding fields as I'm in the countryside and yes they were the very rare buggers that were climbing up the spouts and in through the eaves and into the roof. I sealed up the holes and laid poison in bait boxs outside on their rat runs and eventually killed them but every 2 months I've noticed that they return to the yard again. I've absolutely nothing that's attracting them, no rubbish, no bins, no compost heaps etc. I do have afew old walls just like the ones in this video which are situated about 5 yards away from the house. How can I stop them from returning every few months to the area? I'd love to see yee do a video on homes in the countryside that arnt connected to the main sewers and how to get rid of them from yards etc for good, if that's even possible with living in the countryside. Thanks lads 😎👍.

So my question really is how do we stop them from returning to the yard and garden areas? as I no longer have them entering the house.

Well, like we say in the video, “even when the rats are coming from outside and getting in, the rats are coming from a sewer problem”.
It’s particularly hard to pinpoint if you have these style of stone walls as the rats can use them like covered motorways between places and if the broken sewer is under the wall somewhere 🤷‍♂️
      Awesome results though 👍🏼✅👍🏼✅
Ps. Don’t forget that rats can use septic tanks to get in your house. Watch our most watched video to see how they do it. ✅

@@PestInterceptors last October I had a rat arrive in the toilet bowl. They were jumping down into an opening in the septic tank and up the pipes. I sealed up the tank and problem solved. That's when they started climbing up on the outside of the spouts to the gutters and in through the eaves. Solved that problem. My septic tank is only situated about 10 yards away from the house and there's absolutely nothing over where the pipes run from the house to it only the ground and that's perfect. The nearest public sewer pipes to me are about 3 miles away at the nearest town. So you could say I've all my exclusion work done and place tidy and no food sources inside or outside, 4 bait boxes outside in the active runs. It does kill them but they keep returning after about 2 months to the yard. It's a very tricky one tbh and I would be delighted to get this solved for good. But thanks to you guys for yer videos and advice I have got them out of the house, it's just the surrounding yard and garden is the issue now. I live across the road from a farm and wondering is this a factor? I only have 1 other neighbour and they have no issues but the farm does have rat problems. So my reckoning is that it's either the rats have a food source elsewhere that I don't know about an are living in the old stone walls near the house or they are completely resistant to the poison. I absolutely hate using poison, it's a last resort that I was very very reluctant to use but had to. Its just very frustrating using poison every few months nonstop as it's not good for the environment.

@@barriejordan2837 here’s something to think about.
The whole family of rats do what the alpha does. So if the alpha eats poison, they all eat the same. They keep doing this as long as there is a food source they trust even though it’s poison. They do this until the whole family of rats is dead.
So here’s the question for you to fathom. If all the rats are related and you kill them all (no more bait goes). Then where are the new families of rats coming from?
Like I say, even on the super rare jobs where they are climbing in houses, they are always coming from sewer pipes somewhere.
You may find a correlation between the cesspit being full at your house or the farm. That will answer your question.

@@PestInterceptors I just did my weekly inspection of my house outside and checked the bait boxes in the yard, shed and near the septic tank and not a single piece of poison eaten in over a week. So for me now it's a plus. I seem to have push them further away thank god. My septic tank is not even quarter full so it has to be a neighbours tank which is the attraction. Just set up another bait station in the neighbours coz she has seen 1 during the week and I did find rat runs in the grass in that area close to more old stone walls, fingers crossed it wipes them out and I must get to the bottom of the other septic tank to see how full it is. Thank you so much for your help lads, your videos have been a major education in pest troubles, I've learnt alot in the past 6 months and I have to tip my hat to you lads coz damn it's tough work but exciting at the same time, I like a challenge and god they are a challenge 😂😂😂😎👍.

Had an awful smell in our dining room a few months ago. A rat specialist came and found the metal air bricks next door had rusted away and rats were getting under the floorboards. We had a rat up in the loft before that and could here it scraping about for a few weeks, it then disappeared. I assume the rat climbed up through the cavity..Caused a lot of anxiety !

I hate to tell you this, but I don’t think your specialist was as special as he portrayed himself to you.
It’s really quite rare for rats to come from outside in (yes lots of people think they do, but I’m the only person who comes with a money back lifetime guarantee, so I think that gives me the right to say what I say).
You may be a rare case (7 cases of this I’ve known in 16 years).
But if the rats return….give us a call.
You may need a Rat Free Lifetime Guarantee. (Google it)

Could a rat climb up the inside of a vertical soil pipe 12cm diameter? Many thanks.

If it’s a rusty old cast iron one. But it’s very rare. We’ve only known it a couple of times in 17 years.

Hi just wondering I know you don’t want to give tips and secrets away but being a pest controller for a small company and not on my own just wants to ask one more question I did message yesterday , of course you guys are the best but if you could give any tips because I guess as you know the drain gear you use I know will be in the 1000s and no pest control management will give this to techs , what can be done I use rat flaps I even buy yours and I line bait to find the issue , in an ideal world you guys should have every contract in the uk just for what you do is perfect , but as you said people can do it DIY including me with the flaps is there anyway without having a expensive camera this can be done so it’s not guess work as you said with the one way valves? If you don’t want to reply hear I’m happy to pay for a consultation but just let me know , yet again not trying to take any contracts or any of the rat lifetime guarantee customers this is mainly more to help commercial premises etc who have the 12 visits per year routine work when someone gets an issue there , your black cats and valves are perfect , I’m just trying to be as good as you guys are to know a proper job is done is important to me if you think the only thing that can be done is get a camera like yours I will self fund but will take a very long time

@samed1314 well I guess it’s all about investment in your future and investing in yourself and your knowledge.
We now sell the cameras we use (at a fraction of the cost of the competition!).
Like you say, we also can also do a consultation call with Christan.
