She claims she's too disabled to take the bind out and literally stands at the door throwing her rubbish into the garden. The rat problem here now is horrendous. My other neighbour had rats find a way I to her house and made a hole in her fridge freezer. She owns her house and had to lay for a new fridge and lay for exterminators. The fat pig who caused it still does it now 3 years later, she's fat and lazy and has never worked living in her council house. The Council don't give a fuck ! They refuse to take blame and refuse to do anything to the person causing it. In fact they now PAY for a removal company to come clean her garden of waste once a month !!! That's it !!! She had her kids taken from her for abuse but still she just lobs her rubbish outdoors and the council do fuck all about it. This is the problem, fat slobs and useless councils. The council cut the grass in the community ONCE this year !! Add that foliage to unlimited food sources, lazy bastards and a useless council then ofcourse there will be rats.

They purposely feed them by throwing food scraps out their windows, I saw it in an episode of "1000 tenants". Most likely do it because they eat them...

oh nothing to do with bin collection then ! in Wales they only collect black bin bags every THREE weeks. Funny how the rat problem started at the same time.
I'm not the least surprised by this! The amount of rubbish that some people chuck on the ground and or in hedgerows etc is enormous. That and the fact that some people also chuck their fast food on to the pavements and roads. I've seen discarded bags of Mcdonalds chips chucked on the road for example. I was watching the seagulls swoop down into the road to try and get the chips causing traffic to have to swerve to get around them.
I see that too trailing from the front of houses into the road. It’s the result of fortnightly collections leading to overflowing bins and it all spilling out while being collected.

Alberta, Canada is pretty much the only place on earth that is rat free. It was a concerted effort over 70 years ago by farmers and the provincial gov. to eliminate the vermin. Alberta has an actual Rat Patrol, that does in fact patrol all borders and will go full commando mode if one is spotted anywhere in the province. Pet rats are not allowed, a special license is required to have them, usually only for educational purposes at Universities and anyone caught having one and it escapes is heavily fined. People laugh when I say this, but it is a fact and easily verified if one googles the Alberta Gov. website and other sources. The elimination of rats is a success story in Alberta, one I wish more provinces would heed, especially British Columbia. Rats are a disease carrying, agricultural menace and their numbers have to be brought under control everywhere.
Our powers that be here in the UK, are to lazy, stupid and incompetent to follow Canada's excellent response to the rat problem! Plus they really do not care about the country or its people.
Gosh don't know about over there, but I live in Sydney Australia, and I've seen some whopper ones here. I was on a train once on the lower level which is closer to the Ground, it waited at a station for a while, and I saw huge Rats coming out from under the embankment along the side. I think their body length would've been 16 inches or 41 cm long maybe more and then add the tail of several cms. I was astonished how big they were. That would make them as big as a Cat or nearly. Maybe it's because it's Australia, everything's bigger here(just kidding). But I wouldn't like to be attacked by a few of these Rats.
House building on virgin land is also a massive problem, the rats move on elsewhere when their environment is disturbed. We and neighbours were invaded by rats when a local pub had it's garden sold off and built on. The pub had a small aviary in its garden which we believe attracted the rats in the first place, when building work started we started seeing the rats.
@@chedz3409 Unfortunately we have a koi pond which the wife enjoys and the neighbours (either side) put feed out for birds. We do put out bait stations if and when we start to see them and that has always made things quieter for quite a while. Last winter I believe one had managed to get into our roof space via an air vent, but again I put out several bait stations in the garden and things quickly quietened down. We then had some new roof vents fitted which have gaps too small for rats to crawl through. We never had or saw a problem for 20 - 25 years but since the pub land was built on, maybe 5 - 10 years ago, it all started.

Actually I will vote for a party who actually puts weekly bin collections and a bigger damn bin in a manifesto.
Rats are very intelligent, and they seem to work to a timetable. We have had them running across our garden in the afternoon at about the same time every day. This has enabled me to put out a bit of cake and shoot them, without waiting around for hours. Once I have hit one, the others tend to stay away for a few weeks.
