That red carpet is stunning. That prelude is going to be amazing.
Thanks mate! 😄😄
@@JHHobbycan i use on kinsmarts and 1:32 diecast cars
I know most guys who do this flock . But I buy a 9x11 sheet of felt from any craft store . There's tons of colors to pick from. What you do is lay the sheet down and cut out the templates for the seats and such with a pair of scissors. Go back and forth dry fitting until it looks right and then grab some spray adhesive . Spray it on the floor of the model itself and then start from one end of the carpet felt and lay it in place. It looks awesome.
great job, tips; you could put a sheet of paper under your work area and recuperate the flocking.
Great video. The nail art option I didn’t know about so many thanks. For white glue. If you mix with a bit of water it will go on much better and provide a smooth surface for the flock. The outcome is the same. Cheers.
Thanks! Yea i did add some water but maybe i add too much it became too watery😂
I've always struggled with modeling carpet.
This method might be the answer I'm looking for.
Thank you
Glad to hear that😄😄
Your interiors are awesome. Very detailed and very precise!!
Always Great Tips and Tricks on Here!! Thanks for Sharing!
Thank you too! 😄😄
If you did this over paper it would be easier to safe the excise carpet material for another project. Great video.
That looks so nice. We used to use hobby felt and white glue to make floor mats. I had some luck with soaking the felt with white glue and installing it on the floors. Then using a finger nail file to move some of the fibers in the felt for an ok look from outside of the car. That was when I was a kid.
Ive heard of this technique but have never seen it done! Great vid! Thanks for posting!
Thanks man!😄
nice and clean work
Great video and another tip of what I did instead of glue is that if you used the same color like flat black and then flock it, it will make it 100% much better in my opinion
I’ve been looking for a video like this super helpful thanks
Glad tp hear that! 🤗🤗😄😄
Man I love your pro work, good job sir
Haha thanks bro! Really appreciate it!
Great tip bud I've been waiting on something like this to come out for many years now thanks for sharing.
try watching Scalemodelchannel for tips on flocking.
Thanks! Glad to hear that😄
whoa that is genius! well done!
Nice Idea. I think I will use this pouder for the structure of carpet but after applying, I will seal it with Gloss coat and then paint it the way I wat it, then reseal with a gloss or matt coat.
Looks great! I use the same method but with really fine strained sand. I may pick up some flocking material. Awesome video!
Thanks man😁 yea i need to get the proper flocking powder for better scale accurate 😆
Excellent tutorial. Thank you for sharing
Thanks! Glad u find it useful😄
This will look awesome in my vans..Thanks for tip!
Thanks man😁
Great video.... it also works by using paint and put the powder in the still wet paint...
Thank you. I’ve been looking for something like this.
Glad to hear that! Thank you so mucj sir😄
try watching Scalemodelchannel for tips on flocking.
This is amazing but i'm sure i can't do that it's a little difficult😢
Great video, but I would use a wider brush for larger areas. More even coverage. Maybe for h.wheels, try crushing the flocking with a small rolling pin ?don't know if it would work, but it's worth a try !
Haha true😅 i think i use the wrong size too😂
Very helpful nice buddy i baught same nail powder and i used clear dry pvc glue for plastics wood an stuff but never turns out as smooth and is always patchy can u give me any advice on how long to leave it do i put much more differnt clear glue on or clear coat paint i seen some people use id love to get all my honda kits with good carpet flooring and atleast 1 door open an close on each to show off the inside u know
wow looks great what a nice job what colors did you use on the seats love the colors to wow
Thanks man! I dont have the exact ratio of the paint when i mix..i just put in tamiya flat red and mr.hobby red until i got the colour i want😂
@@JHHobby the you so much for reply very great full
A really nice modeling tip!Thanks!!!!!
Welcome my friend😄
Great tutorial, well done. Have never used nail flock before, will definitely have a look at buying some 👍👍
Thank you brother 😄😄
That is brilliant!
thank you jh-hobby great job
I use felt sheets, You can get them for like $5 for 50 sheets off of Amazon and they are only 1 MM thick. they are perfect for it and they are cheap.
I just got flocking, and embossing power, I've never tried this will soon, I use to use black sand paper, but a Lil more work
Any ideas on shag carpet I'm guessing do the same thing but with longer Flux thinking of cutting yarn?

You have an interesting idea here. To reduce the waste of all the flocking powder that does not fall upon the white adhesive (as we see at round 2:10 in your video), I suggest placing under the model’s interior a large paper plate to catch the leftovers, for one to use later in the carpeting process. For white or very pale flocking material, a shallow, darkly coloured bowl would serve instead.
Does this material work for fabric seat covers? It seems that set you used might. Or does your supplier offer a different item? I infer that leather or Naugahyde (a trademark for an artificial material designed to resemble leather, made from fabric coated with rubber or vinyl resin; source: Bing/Edge) would have a glossy finish. Similarly, how might one simulate unusual patterns, such as stripes, especially pin-striping? Or splodges, tiger-prints, florals, zigzags, iridescent fabrics, etc.?
great tutorial asks where to get that nail powder because I wanted to buy one in black but I don't know where to buy
I got put a link in my description😁
Awesome video! God bless
Do areas like the transmission hump 1st to let it set up longer to a tacky state as it will sag or drip down causing a crappy carpet...if not happy you can wash it off.
Velmi dobrý nápad! Děkuji.-)
You should do the flocking over a piece of paper with a bend in it so you can re use it.
Do you recommend thinning the glue with water? It seems like when applying the black carpet the glue was thinned but for the rest it looked like it was straight out of the bottle
I tried to thin it with water but doesn't really worked, so i stick with pure glue..but u can thin it if u need to😉
@@JHHobby cool, that's great information to have. Thanks!
Where is the best place to buy model kits? And what about accessories like replacement wheels, wings, etc.
I like to buy mine at Bnamodelworld.com 😁
Just like the real Mccoy!
What brand of paint is that red you’re using. It’s very vivid. Beautiful build! Looks great!
Well done
Thanks for the video 😎👍
So I’ve seen people use the same color paint as the carpet to make it stick ...is glue better then paint?
I find it white glue is better..paint tend to dry too fast😅
@@JHHobby yeah...I would agree! Figured that out yesterday! Glue is better...thanks!
Is the white glue just PVA glue?
Yes its smthng like that..some call it crafting white glue or wood glue
Slowly we get to see the Prelude complete!
Haha yes 😉😉 its almost done😁😁
nice results......
salut , ou achète-tu la poudre ?
merci
Btw can I polish my model car without sanding if it doesnt have clear coat on it?
Its not recommend yo do that and will not have any results by jst polishing the paint..it will shine abit but u still need clear coat as a protective layer
@@JHHobby ok thanks!
What about floor mats?
U can try using sand paper and cut them in size😁
In fact, if you look at a read car from a distance, you cannot see the carpet texture so clearly, The real scale reduced carpet actually looks like flat painted effect...
Cant Walt To try that, thank so much...
Glad to hear that😄😄😄
Nice vid!!!! Just subbed................................ 🙂
Thank you so much!
Nice tip
I just recently bought my first model and I am moving onto painting the interior. What color of paint do you recommend I should use to make the seats, steering wheel and other interior parts to look realistic as possible? (Imitate a basic stock interior)
For interior normally i would use matt and semi-gloss paints😁
Appreciate it so much. Keep up the good work my good man! 👍
Niceeee
Great!
what was the car?
just use felt from ring box
It would sort of work for a convertible, but for a hardtop, really not so much.
Looks to shaggy try a different flock size.
🏍️ too. How does someone misspell a three letter word ?
I wonder if anyones used real fabric for a model interior before
Me: Has a Lamborghini Aventador SV
Also Me realizing that the Lamborghini Aventador SV has grip tape instead of carpets.
Car pet ,. could be a cat or dog 😂😂
Is it just me being a dumbass or does the car with the red interior not have a clutch pedal.
Its an auto version🤣🤣 i hate it too this kit came only in auto😩
@@JHHobby ohh. Haha. I thought I saw a stick in there but I guess it was just an auto. Why would they do that. No one likes an automatic. It's like an automatic toyota supra.
Second comment.
