Aw your thank you at the end was so sweet! I’ve been watching and training for a little over a year and while I rarely post my progress I can tell you that you’ve helped me so much! I also want to hear updates about France!!! Are you offering retreats?

That's so great to hear :) at the moment I'm waiting for carpenters to be available to renovate the barn and turn it into a lovely training space, if that happens quickly Ill be able to offer retreats next summer, if not then spring 2025. If you want to see all the progress check out my channel where I show all the renovation happening, Escape to Everdeen :)

Hey Cara, last week I went to my first Lyra class for beginners and to my surprise I was unfortunately the worst 😖 The teacher had to help me get on the hoop a few times. I couldn’t tell if it was that the hoop was too big since I’m only 5’0, but I do know that I couldn’t pull myself up at all with my arms. Can you give me any advice on what I will need to get stronger for the Lyra based on what I’ve just said? I’m taking a atleast a month break since I feel so disheartened by the whole ordeal. I wanted to cry so badly and just run out of the class out of embarrassment. I beat myself up a lot but after thinking about it I would like to try again but before I go back I’d like to have time to get stronger as to not go through that again ☹️ P.S I also randomly decided to buy a Lyra hoop for at home use but Ofcourse I won’t be using it anytime soon until I feel much more comfortable on the Lyra which hopefully I will *fingers crossed*

Hi, I know you posted this 4 months ago, but I really hope you continued going to your lyra classes! Don't worry, this is where we all start! It's natural to not be able to do mounts in your first ever class!!! I was just like you, I couldn't even get on the hoop, but you have to keep pushing and trying despite feeling disheartened. The only way to get better is to keep trying and the teacher in the class is there to guide you through it. It took me over a month to be able to properly mount the hoop, because IT IS difficult. Now I have been going to classes for over 2 years and I'm soon doing my first competition. You have to start somewhere, aerial takes lots of effort. Please don't give up❤
