Hey guys! Thanks for this Led Zeppelin request. Such a cool song with so much tension in the chord progression. Perhaps not the most difficult Zeppelin tune, but still very fun to play, nonetheless. Especially with the backing track that I put together for this.
The tone of the guitar may not be spot on to the studio recorded. Instead, I was digging Page’s tone on “It Might Get Loud” and used an Orange Amplifier preset in Amplitube which I felt worked for the video. Some parts like the bridge 2 in this song were kind of buried in the mix of the studio take. So it was tricky to pick out whether or not Page was doing some kind of black magic on his guitar or if he was just chugging along on the power chords. I kept it simple on the G5 and A5 after looking at some live videos of what he might be playing there. I think it works well for the tune.
A lot of parts that I tabbed out may not have been played in the studio take, but were played live by Page himself. Which makes the song more fun to play. Like the fills in Verse 2 measure 28, and the outro guitar parts. All in the effort of making the learning of this tune all the more enjoyable.

One of the songs that makes Page so great - not that the song is overly difficult to play - it IS the fact that it was SOOOOO very different from the guitar music of its time...and still to this day actually !! So creative and brilliant that it just demands respect !!

in the bridge section, When you're playing the A power chord, try hitting the C# on the 2nd string 4th fret, and then H/O & P/O on the D note, same string, 5th fret. It sounds really good if you're arranging this for a single guitar.

What interesting and wonderful chords. I remember back in the day, on MTV, CC DeVille was being interviewed while out on the "Flesh and Blood" tour and was asked about Zep. He played some licks while talking about Zep, one was "The Rain Song" which he called out as being in a different tuning, though he was playing it in standard tuning. Is there anything that man can't do? Can't wait until you finally cover one of songs.

hello Mr. Tabs, i always appreciate your videos and how acuratly the tabs are. Because of that you are my trusted teacher. There is a group called Rockin' for decades and they make songs whitout lyrics wich are pretty cool and simple, the songs are almost like riffs. I didn't find anyone on youtube and i was wondering if you can take a look to the band and maybe make a 'beginner' section with thoose songs. In special Blue Texas please. Thank you, master.
