Honestly the fact you put enough effort and are passionate about this series as we all are means allot when fable 4 comes out youre gonna BLOW UP I PROMISE YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE THE OG fable lore guy
Ngl, it would be cool to see the Fable Universe redone through a huge change like this. It would certainly keep the story somewhat fresh, I love this game series either way.
I always wondered what would of happen if she wasn't around for fable 3 like if Lucian was successful and somehow killed her and the heros, Lucian would probably have to face the Crawler and I don't think he'd win
If she was killed in fable 1 Lucian would never learn of the spire nor little sparrow, jack, and the rest of them, i think he would get over the loss of his family and rebecome thr mayor he once was
Well Lucien was already somewhat old judging by the gray hair at the end of fable 2. I doubt Lucien would face the crawler due to the 50 year gap, rather an offspring or another heir to the throne.
@@IHateSmilingFriendsTheTVShow Good point still would be cool to see it Though, it wouldn't surprise me if he found a way to live longer especially since he'd have the spire to himself
Correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t she mention to sparrow when they meet in bowerstone she gives the backstory of the spire including the destruction of the old kingdom It is definitely ironic that her quest for the spire caused so much more evil
She does. They basically say in Fable: The Journey that Theresa was wrong about how The Spire originally exploded and she saw the truth after she gained control over The Spire.
As you know I write my comment as I watch: I was out, had my data on (I don't have unlimited so only certain times will I turn it on for apps like Tim Hortons, McDonalds, etc) and got this upload notification. As soon as I got home I clicked it. Very interesting. One "What If" scenario you didn't touch on... What if Theresa died in the woods where Jack dropped her after cutting out her eyes? Say Twinblade's group doesn't find her in time (Not like they were looking for her anyway). The Hero of Oakvale would still have grown up in the Guild, Become a great Hero but never: learns of his Bloodline, Saves his Mother from Bargate, and probably dies at the hand of Jack.
@@Skyrionn Do you think Jack would still be after The Hero of Oakvale? Because Jack seems to know that Scarlet Robe is your Mother. He tells you about her after you win The Arena which is just before you learn about the Bloodline. AND when he burned down Oakvale he was looking for 'The Boy' which is ALSO the reason Theresa had her eyes cut out. "When Jack asked where The Boy was she answered with only a stare so he cut out her eyes." WHICH raises another question! Why did he drop Theresa in the Woods to die? Didn't he need the family to get the Key? I Love jack of Blades but he really didn't think all that much did he?
I feel like the series do have a few loopholes. I'd like to think Theresa fled into the woods and was then saved by Twinblade. I think as long as Jack lives and has a small chance of acquiring the sword of Aeons, he'd always be actively after the Hero.
There is a good possibility that the crawler would have awakened anyways. It’s possible that the spire only spread up the awakening. Possibly her awakening it made it so that the younger sibling in 3 was able to defeat it.
In my view, Theresa is a Hero. She has always done what her bloodline has done. Her sight means she has to make certain choices that are at best gray and at worst evil. The Spire was her best way to amplify her powers to protect the world. It did backfire but she was only trying to do as her Mother and Brother had done, but in her own way. Without Theresa, Jack would have conquered the world, likely opened the portal to The Void where the Corruptor and the Darkness would be bent to his will. Alternatively, the Hero of Oakvale could have survived Jack’s attack some other way. Fate is a powerful force, it may demand a Hero step forth even without Theresa’s intervention. Lucian would likely have died alone, not leaving a heir. Assuming Theresa hadn’t killed his family. And a new power would rise to take over Albion. Be it a tyrant or even a new threat from the Void. Sparrow could have died before awakening their powers, but a new descendant of theirs or even Rose’s would find a way to awaken their powers and save the world. Albion will always have evils to fight. And fate will always ensure there is a Hero that rises to face it. It did it with Will, starting that powerful bloodline, it may do it with a new bloodline altogether.
Til this day i swear the hero of oakvale is still outthere just wandering like scythe i genuinely miss the fable series specifically the firsg the world had so much potential in just the age of heroes this game will always be one of my favorites
ive only played 2 and 3 and i wanted to kill her and Reaver so a bit dissapointed. she might have started out good, but she used sparrow like a puppet and the character should have been given the option of revenge or forgiveness at some point.
I couldn't agree more but now that I think about It there's something I always wondered about: at the beginning of Fable II while you're collecting gold pieces if I tried to go towards the Bowerstone cemetery the stairs were blocked off by debris but if you look between them there's a corpse (I assume) that looks like Theresa. But maybe it's like an easter egg and i'm just stupid Edit: wait nevermind I'm just stupid it's literally different sorry
Or that the old wizard from the east Palagan succeeded in performing the ritual on her thus stopping her from obtaining his amulet to travel to Samarkand and learn about the Spire thus preventing the death of countless millions, hardships, pain etc
I believe the reason she voiced a choice for her brother (Hero of Oakvale) is because she has a premonition of both her brother throwing the Sword of Aeons away or slaying her and keeping it. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't brought up the choice to begin with if there was a plan for her brother. Otherwise she should have urged [Chicken Chaser] to throw it away.
It makes sense for her to be a zombie after the first one mainly because she seems completely dead after that no emotion just dead you see all the other characters like flowing with emotion either it's good or evil they have emotion she's just blank
Theresa seems to be a manifestation of fate. Whatever is guiding that world she can communicate with it on some level. So i would posit that fate would find another, as it seems wont to do. Nothing would change but the person bearing the message.
I think Theresa ultimately helped. She saw the sacrifice of the few to save the many of millions. I'm curious to know where you got the graphics for her Zamarkand journey and Lucien's family, I didnt even know the crawler was directly linked the spire being rebuilt. But aren't some events like old kingdom studies what lucien did normally? Or would Garth have introduced him to those ideas somehow? Just thoughts, but I thought the breakdown was really well done.
Theresa did actually die during the downfall of the spire in Fable 1. Her blind comes off in Fable 2, giving her white eyes, which means she IS existent during Fable 2, but not as the same person as in Fable 1. She is non-existent in Fable 3 and only appears in The Road To Rule, and pausing scenes where portals come.
If Lucian had built the spire he would have wished for a perfect world. The crawler would have been dead (destroyed by the wish) and evil would have been extinguished forever. that was literally his wish for a world that was perfect forever.
That's reaching for an awful lot to try to make him the villain. Perhaps you just have a hard time dealing with wishes that don't include monkeys paws. Which is strange but not uncommon. remember the tower was not a monkeys paw, there are no negative "Prices" to pay for useing it nor does it grant your wish in the way you least want it. had he been allowed to ask for a perfect world withought death or suffering the tower isnt going to kill everyone and say "Muahaha now theres noone to suffer, its just going to remove the bad from the world. Thessa even admitted in her story that the world used to be much worse than it is now and that the first wish was just for a better one which caused the tower to just start things over. Lucians wish was basically to recreate Edan. no death, no suffering, no loss, no hate, and no negative reprocussions. This is even pushed at the end when thessa openly tells you to get out admitting she wanted the tower for herself. It was never about stopping him. It was about wanting that power herself. @@vallarfaxgaming
I'd love to see a version of Fable with the "dark side" ending lmao. No Theresa, no Spire, no Hero of Bowerstone, no Hero of Brightwall, the Crawler and Darkness live etc.
What do you think of this theory and breakdown? Would Albion be better or worse without her?
I just subscribed :) thankyou there isn't another game like fable

Could you do a lore video about the crawler? I think he would be a great character for it due to his kind of mystical portration in the game.
I think I kinda covered him in the Corruptor video

As far as I'm aware that's just for gameplay immersion because the hero in canon throws away the sword of aeons and then destroys Jack's mask

That'd be awesome. Maybe as someone close to William, just not William
