See this is what I thought fable 2 would be. Following the son of the first fable hero (or daughter) and you'd see the hero of oalvale eventually. Fable 2 was fun though not bashing it.
I would not put ANYTHING past Theresa. She has shown in the past that peoples lives mean nothing to her, so long as she gets what she seeks, and I don't see Oakvale as being any different. What I'm curious about, is Reaver's actual place in things. Given that he is from Oakvale, and is a hero, is it possible that he might actually be another descendant of the Hero of Oakvale?
So I was thinking and I know it's a longshot, but is it possible the Shadow Court Is somehow related to The Court that William Black fought against? I know he killed the Knight and Queen, then later The Hero of Oakvale killed Jack. So is it possible they weren't killed completely? Maybe just there masks were destroyed so they have no way of appearing in the world physically. It's not much to go on, but one female and 2 males similar to the Court of old. They even call themselves the Shadow Court. Might even be why they wanted to destroy Oakvale, not only one but 2 heros that beat them were born there.
That's what I thought too, but surely Theresa would've foreseen that happening? I mean, not only is the Knight and Queen trying to come back but also Jack who is the reason she went blind and her entire life (the lives of her entire family) fell apart. But given who Theresa is (someone with good intentions but went the wrong way in getting said intentions done) and what she's done until now, she could've maybe ignored them enough to ensure she had Reaver to combat Lucien and planned to deal with them in a later time which never came thanks to the Darkness spreading?
@@therambler8721 That would make alot sense. She probably saw that Reaver wouldn't exist if she delt with them. They hold the key to his long life and he's a major player in Fable 2 and 3. She gained access to the spires power and her sight was better than ever so she probably saw that Reaver was needed in Fable 3 so the Shadow Court was needed to keep him alive. After the events of Fable 3 and the Hero of Brightwall's disappearance the darkness begins to spread and Theresa had much bigger problems on her hands. If they are the actual Court I'm sure Theresa would want to deal with them but it's possible she realized despite their evil they were necessary for everything to play out how she wanted. Although a sequel were we have to deal with the Court would have been really cool honestly. Maybe we see Scythe come back with Rose and train our character to face the Court like he did so many years ago.

I believe Theresa has met them in a realm to where she may be able to travel to, like William was able to travel to the void. But I don't think she used their services for youth up to Fable 3. She looks like a cadaver without much mobility up until that point (like a mummy or scythe). I believe they will never be a true enemy, they will always be in the shadows, unknown and without a true form.
Im pretty sure the theory about theresa being connected to shadowcourt could hold some weight, just not in this way, as you put it, theres alot of coincidences going on in a game known for none. I imagine they wouldve looked like the stone statues in the balverine crypt, who still have no real connection to the game other then vague theories about their connection to the old kingdom/even older beings like the shadow court, they look very out of place, especially with the hidden faces, the claw like hands, and the chains and sword, you can find them on the pillars where hanna has to knock over one to get over the spike pit, they also resemble banshees to a degree, so maybe the banshees are also connected? Do you think the Judges and the Crawler could have a connection? Both of them control shadow minions and, what I find more interesting.....seem to have the same symbol. In the Shadow Court and Shadelight you can find blue and gold banners that appear nowhere else in the game. Even the Temple of Shadows in Rookridge has different banners, and they are all about worshipping Darkness.
It honestly never occurred to me that there was a possible connection between the necropolis and Shadow Court. It might explain the shadows that are present in Fable 2. Though I wonder were the primordial shadows and creatures like the Crawler fit into all of this?

I think the Shadow Court is merely another group of demons from the Void like The Court. Perhaps they’re even the remains of the Court left behind in the Void when Jack, the Queen, and the Knight went to Albion. Or just a standard evil demon group that makes deals for sacrifices. They could even be demons born out of the destruction of Jack’s mask. Or maybe even echoes of The Court, 1 woman 2 men. But I think that’s a stretch. Being in Oakvale might be coincidence, but I think Oakvale is special. The strongest bloodline came from there and Reaver was born there. It may just be a significant village events were drawn to. Like Tatooine in Star Wars. It’s strong in Will. I don’t think Theresa is evil, just… gray. She is a hero of the most powerful bloodline in Albion, she is also a hero blessed with sight. She may have felt a calling to take the Spire and use it to amplify her powers to protect Albion. She did a lot of bad things to do this, but Reaver would have reproduced even if he never became immortal, so a new Skill Hero would have been born. We also don’t know when she learned of the Spire, it could have been before Reaver’s deal or after.
I think I agree. I believe the Shadow entities came from The Void, and it makes sense with how powerful they appear to be. With Theresa, she does blur the lines. Similar to that of a Grey Jedi, or Kreia from KOTOR. It's just down to your perception on where that is good, questionable or evil.
