These are going to be Christmas gifts for all the girls and ladies in my family using novelty fabrics suited for them. THANK YOU! I've been sewing for years and I've never seen anything this simple!
There are so many UA-cam videos on how to make this wallet you just have to search because everybody has different methods. You need to use interfacing on these fabrics, not stick cardboard inside.
I am going to have to learn how to sew my own cloth purses and cloth wallets. I am a huge fan of the Vera Bradley purses but simply can not afford to have as many different patterns as I would love to have. One of these days I will learn how to sew up the cutest styles, because with different fabric choices it is just so much fun to accessorize. Plus, nothing and I mean nothing, can be better than these lightweight fabric purses because you can still pack them with all kinds of things and they are still light, much lighter on the shoulders. I just compared my larger Vera Bradley purse today with a newly purchased fake leather one, I think my stuffed Vera Bradley purse is lighter when filled then the other fake leather purse is even though it is empty. That really made me realize what a weight difference it is. When you learn how to sew them, omg, so many cute fabric patterns out there.
08-30-20: I made two today and both came out so nice. Talk about easy peasy, several can be whipped out in no time flat. I made the first one according to your measurements, but the second one I adjusted it to make it wider so that I can fit my phone in it and I also used a multicolored suede material. Man, this project is off-the-chain fabulous...TFS. I love it!
Omg! How simple was that? That was seriously clever! Definitely saving this video! Not as many pockets that i need for one I'm making today for my husband, but this is lovely no doubt about it! May make these for female friends or relatives! 😁😁😁

Great Video, really works, I have made a few. I backed my material with Iron On Facing. Don’t know what the white pieces used were. I though card but I doubt it, Think spoken Instructions would be better or a least details of materials used.
Made up really quickly once I worked out what to use as the inserts and the sizes (which isn't listed in the video) I used craft felt till I ran out and then polyester batting. Both worked fine x

@@TheShadow1958 actually I used a firm interface. I cut it just like the cards and slid them in and ironed the heck out of them. Just remember to cut the Interface a tad smaller.

I used a pulling 71F, very firm craft interfacing I use in my purses. Works great and keeps the shape. Great video short and sweet
