Hike Arizona's Angels Landing // Picacho Peak

Picacho Peak is about an hour and a half from Phoenix and 45 minutes fro Tucson Arizona. Plan for 4-6 hours to complete the hike. It's about 6 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 2,000 feet. You can start the hike from one of two trailheads. The Sunset Vista trailhead is longer and starts at the back of the park. While the Hunter trailhead starts near the entrance and travels straight up the mountain. We started at Sunset Vista and ended at Hunter to make a loop. There are campsites and RV hookups in Picacho Peak State Park.
