Trekking 30 Miles Around a Glacier in Peru
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лип 2024
- 5 days and 30 miles around Ausangate Mountain located 100 kilometers/62 miles from Cusco Peru. Ausangate is 6,384 meters/20,944 feet above sea level, the fifth highest point in Peru. Circling Ausangate will require steep climbs above 5180 meters/17,000 feet, but because the entire trek is at high elevation not many people experience it. This trekking circuit is still quiet and remote unlike the more popular Peruvian treks like the Inca Trail or the Salkantay Trek. The glacier provides water to over 150 families and the Machupicchu hydroelectric plant, which generates energy for thousands of homes. The Ausangate Trek offers spectacular mountain scenery, turquoise lakes, hot springs, herds of llamas and alpacas, and villages with friendly people who still maintain the incas ancient customs.

Thanks for the video ! I’ll be doing this trek in a few months ! The video helped a lot ! greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
i find your channel from your backpacking tips but now you've got me addicted. i haven't even started yet!! 😂😂
Jon, your shots are beautiful! Really enjoy your style. Keep it up my man.
Excellent video Jon! Just bumped into your channel and subscribed after I watched your Garmin SOS video. You are humble and kind. You can see it in your eyes. Not cocky which is so nice to see based on you doing such hard and challenging things. One cannot appreciate Peru and your trek without your amazing drone shots, WHOA! What views! You are very lucky to be able to do such awesome adventures! Keep them coming!
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. 👍24
Fantastic video Jon! Thanks for putting this trek on my radar as well. Beautiful drone work and editing!
That looks great 👍
17,000ft and I are NOT friends...... good on you for doing something like that, and I really enjoyed this video, but hard pass for me - I don't do well past about 11k.
Awesome trip! No shower reviews? =p
lol we didn’t really take any. The one thing is, there’s no hot showers in Peru in general. Everyone’s taking a cold showers.
i really loved the video (really good pacing, scenery and editing) but man you gotta work a lot on your pronunciation xD you're butchering a bunch of words and sounds really weird
