Great advice! I just purchased the Horizon T303 and love it. I bought it to replace a Nordic Track T series that I used for almost 10 years and put 5,000 miles on. I would suggest to anyone that regardless of the treadmill they purchase that they go ahead and buy a mat to put it on. Over time, things happen with the treadmill sitting in one place and it could scratch, discolor, or damage the floor if a mat is not used. A huge mat specifically for treadmills is around $40 and worth the investment. My old Nordic Track actually leaked grease and it was difficult to clean up. This happened due to old age and use. Also, if you perspire a lot, be sure to wipe your treadmill dry after each work out. Sweat will corrode any and all metal parts (the frame) if left for any duration. If you use some kind of wet cleaner to get rid of germs after your workout, also be sure to wipe the frame clean or else it will eventually begin to rust. I learned all of this the hard way!
Thank for for creating this video. I've been asking my boyfriend for months to oil the treadmill and I'm still waiting. So I've decided to do it myself and found your video. Ive bought the oil, tool and follow along. It was so easy to do with your instructions. Thank you. You made my day.
How tight is the belt after you’re done? I’ve had this model for 2 months now and we’ve seen different guidelines for tension. I’ve also had to realign it a number of times, assuming I don’t have it quite right.
I just bought the same one(or similar? 7.0at) and totally messed up while lubing it- forgot how many turns I did & adjusting it made it worse..now the belts way into the right side 😭😭
Yeah our old treadmill is about ready to die, so I have been looking at the T202 with my heart all I do is walk anyway thanks for the info....................................see ya
I just got one of these models. I lubricated the belt to the best of my ability and tried to center it. The belt makes a swishing/shhh/woosh sound when you walk on it but is quiet with no weight on it ?? Any thoughts or recommendations?? Or is it normal ?? Sometimes treadmills at the gym make it but I haven’t used my horizon yet.
Just subscribed to your channel, really cool content man. Also, thanks a lot for this horizon treadmill maintenance tutorial. It’s the best maintenance video on UA-cam for sure. 👍
Hi, just a question about your floor. Is this plank or laminate? We have a Horizon treadmill but it's on carpet in our bonus room. We want to get new flooring but I was worried about the type. Have you had any issues with the floor while running on your treadmill? Thanks.
I also noticed my motor belt not running belt is not aligned with each end of the posts that make it spin. Did you notice anything when u opened ur motor up ?
@@lightbulb1437 can you please tell me what kind of silicone name for the treadmill you use.. I have horizon treadmill 3.0hp for 1 year and it's start noise..never grease
I like the machine, but with two problems. The instructions for resetting the lube belt do not seem to work, and the instructions for belt tensioning and centering are completely contradictory between the written manual and the horizon videos. They've got to straighten this up otherwise it seems like a decent machine.
Thanks for the video! I have this model as well. I am having a hard time getting under the hood to vacuum out lint from the motor compartment. Terrible engineering. Am I missing something? Can you do a video on that?
Hi...I got one recently. But it's making a squeeking noise when I step on it even though it's brand new. Did you encounter that problem? Any suggestions how to fix it?
@@jimmybarr1966 wherever there are hinges or parts can rotate or move. Ex: incline motor bolts, bolts on the sides of the running deck in the front. You may need to remove plastic covers to get to some of these bolts. Look at the exploded diagram available on their website or the manuals that came with your treadmill. The service manual is hidden on their website but it’s available and is very helpful and has maintenance details.
@@kathleenlopez184 This thumping is common when the treadmill is new out of the box. Once you go for a walk or jog on the treadmill for several minutes, I have found that the thumping noise disappears. If it does not, you may just need to tweak the belt a little and adjust it until the noise goes away.
Does it happen only when walking on it? My 3 day old 7.0AT does have kind of a rattling noise only on walking at any speed or even moving side to side on step saddle when it’s running. No noise at all running it - speeding up and down or inclining and declining when it’s running. No noise on bouncing up and down when machine is switched off.
I have the same problem, I am unable to reset the “lube belt” message. Did you find out how to do it? The manu,a says to press stop and up buttons, but there is no up button!
I would spread the word about the Horizon parent company. They have horrible customer service. Apparently they laid off a bunch of people during quarantine. They do not return phone calls. This company is the worst. Please stay away.

Your video was okay, but I need to know how to tighten and center the belt after the lube. Please help.

Im curious too
What did you end up doing?
I have the exact same model. Mines stopped working a few days after I put lubricant on the belt. The screen won’t come on.
Well done. Was a great help for me. Thank you.

I watched your video on how to install the treadmill, really helped! But my Horizon won’t power on & everything is plugged 😫
Same 😒

I have vinyl planking, I've had no issues and actually makes cleaning under the treadmill much easier
How to connect this Treadmill to a Android mobile with bluetooth? What's the 4-digit code to use?
Hi, how is the treadmill holding up in 2024?
Runs rough. Not happy
Mines got cracks on the deck. Not the highest quality. Oh dang, it's 2025 now, sorry I'm late.
Great job with the video.

mine is rocking on one side how can i fix it so it fits flat on the floor?
I got a giant tube of silicone at walmart and i spread it on the belt. Once it dryed, my belt was sealed on place.
You might have used the wrong silicone. You need 100% silicone designed for treadmills also sold at walmart.

How often do I lube it? And when I tighten the belt down I make it as tight as I can
what about alignment? mine needs to move right not sure which bolt to turn
Taking apart the housing would have been really helpful.

Thanks for this. Quick question, do you have to lube it when your first get it? The manual doesn’t mention it but just wondering.
Yes you should lube it right away
@@drunkcarpenter5134 Thanks!
Great videos!
Have you updated your firmware yet? I’m having some issues with that.
Yeah me to. The first update i did worked fine but the second one didnt work
Did you add lube right after assembly? And did it come with lube? I just ordered mine.
Yes you should add some right away, and yes it also comes with a tube
How do you get the lube reset button to shut off on this model?? I lubed it up last week and it's still on??
Same problem . The directions don't work and other videos have different buttons . Did you find a solution ?
I have the same treadmill, I hear a low ticking/ thuttering noise near the motor rpm disk and it increases with the speed. Any ideas?

Yes I could, it is a pain because of the amount of screws you need to take out.

That is strange... I'd check the deck and lube it
I had this issue after a month. I checked all bolts and nuts and tightened them. I also lubed the pivoting areas and I hear no more squeaking.

How do you reset the lube message on this model?
Hold the incline button and also the down speed button for 8 seconds
There are no incline buttons on mine, just the rollers. How do you clear the lube belt message?
Go for a run on camera and hit the incline, I want to see that👍

How do u reset the lube belt on display?
Tighten the belt after the deck is lubed using the wrench
