My wife and I went to a golf school run by JT’s grandfather Paul Thomas. He was a very quiet, classy man and a brilliant teacher. He got to see his grandson become a great player before he passed away.

@@brianc5617JT was not born or raised wealthy, his father was a head pro at a country club. The majority of head golf pros do not make enough money to be anything other than middle class. Sure there were perks like the MJ story and his father’s connections but he does not come from wealth or elevated privilege.
I agree. He is so cool and poised. I thought that was a witty answer to the question about golf being stressful and the difference between a professional and a weekend hack. He has a sense of humor and seems genuine and a guy you could hang out with, even though he is richer than God. I didn't like JT when he first came on tour, but I'm a big fan now and will always root for him when he is in the running on Sunday. Heck, I root for him even if he's off the lead. Go get the Green Jacket, JT.
If we ever needed somebody to play young Billy Joel in his biopic.

Justin’s dad is the golf pro at the course he was referring to. Not that his dad owned the course. He’s a witty, easy-going guy that loves the game. He is a regular guy that happens to excel in the sport of golf. I really like Justin and watch him play tournaments on tv quite a bit. I don’t know his political affiliation and (tbh) don’t want to know. I just enjoy watching golf a think he adds a lot of personality to the game.
