@@stjamesoldcathedral no, there are a lot of kind of dampers above the strings. Are those microphones?
The metal thingies? Those are the tuning pegs I think.
Success is in imitation???? Loved some of her unadulterated ideas in her initial performance.

Elena Nefedova macht sich kaum Gedanken über ein musikalisches Rubato, das den Ausdruck des Details berücksichtigt, aber nicht das den Pulsschlag der Musik und den großen Bogen umd die Form zerstört. Andras Schiff korrigiert hier viel zu wenig und lässt dieses "stereotype Rubato" viel zu oft durchgehen. Andererseits zwingt er Gestaltungen auf, ohne sie oftmals zu begründen und ohne einen anderen Gestaltungswillem zu tolerieren. Für Meisterkurse kann man das tolerieren, als Professor einer Klavierklasse könnte diese verknöcherte Art verheerend sein.
tscha @peterclemenz881 eben so gut den Mstro Schiff zu kritisieren, nur waere das gueltig wann irgendeinigen Pianistinnen oder Pianisten von dieser Qualitaet in Deutschland existierten. Aber, dass tun Sie leider nicht,..Und dass gilt vor Lehrer und Student.

She is only 29 here. She has already had quite a career at the time of this masterclass. Two years later he selected her to participate in his "Building Bridges" program.
