Hi. Thanks for this helpful video. My question is whether I can perform these exercises before going to surgery? It's been 3 weeks since I ruptured my ACL. I'm able to straighten my knee but unable to bend it past 30-40 degrees. I feel a sharp pain in my inner knee upon bending past that point. The MRI scans showed ACL rupture and no other damage in the knee. Is this normal or should I start Physiotherapy to get a good amount of flexion before surgery? Thank you.
Yes! You should try to maintain your quad strength by doing quad exercises. Bending the knee will be tougher, but keep trying to gradually bend the knee. I would start physiotherapy as soon as you can, even before surgery. The better your knee is prior to surgery with pre-rehabilitation, the better your outcomes will be!
@@Precisioninmovement Hi again! Thank you so much for your reply. I followed your tips and honestly, I feel a lot better now. I'm able to bend my knee around 110-120 degrees now whereas earlier I wasn't able to go beyond 40 degrees. I also strengthened my leg and am feeling very comfortable now. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and hopefully will have surgery this week itself. Again, thanks for your prompt reply and help. I wouldn't have started if it wasn't for you because I was scared I'd mess things up.
