I'm an NRI originally from West Bengal, and lived in USA since I was 3... whenever I went back to West Bengal I always had this dish but never knew what it was called or how to make it!!!! I had them at my aunt's wedding when I was 10 and I still remeber the taste!!!! I've wanted to have them again for so long, and now I know what they are!!!!

The so called “kabiraji” is obviously taken from the Afghan dish Abresham which uses exactly this technique to make egg “threads “. This same technique is used to encase beef kababs in a lattice or “jali “ - this dish is known as “jali kabab “ There is no equivalent in British cuisine for this -so all the stories circulating about “kabiraji” being derived from “coverage” is clearly inaccurate. This is obviously a part of Mughal cuisine.
Thats not Kabiraji 😕😕 Thats called Jali Kabab/Fish. Outer layer is called "Jali" cause its lookes like Jal(fish net) Note: They consume too much oil and thats very Unhealthy. Be aware of Jalis
