I have an Uncle who was a Missionary in Papua New Guinea.. I remember seeing photos of all the places he travelled to, but I believe it was only ground travel.. not by Air ! He now lives in Brisbane.. Great Videos Bud !
Departure looks like beautiful Kimbe. Been there 2-3 times but always in transit to Kokopo. Spent a couple of months in Rabaul working on an AusAID project. Stunning part of PNG. Kimbe is renowned internationally for snorkelling, scuba diving and free diving.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Flight, Missionary Bush Pilot! 👍 What a beautiful strip! I totally get why THAT was on your Bucket List, my Friend! God Bless, Safe Flights & Keep the Blue Side up! 🙏
Absolutely beautiful place, I especially like the airstrip you were departing from. Best job in the world. I wish I could fly. I’m just an aerospace engineer in San Diego California.
The Hebridean beach airport requires another point to check on your checklist. If the tide is in, one cannot land! I had to stop private flying due to ill health, and ten years later, I still really miss it.
If you like the water to water strips you should go to Shelter Cover in California, 0Q5. We made a family trip up there once and AOPA mag had it on its cover in late 90/2000 timeframe. No problem getting the Cessna 340A in and out.
Love your videos. Some of the voices on ATC are becoming quite familiar. Any chance of introducing them to the camera? It would be great to "meet" them and the ATC operation.
Reminds me of a strip I landed at well south of Marko Island on the Gulf coast of Florida (now closed) - came in the very late afternoon - just before twilight. Spectacularly beautiful and remote - but after about 15 minutes on the ground, mosquitoes the size of hummingbirds appeared in vast numbers - we ran for the plane, did a quick pre-flight checklist, and as we were on the takeoff roll, the accident report appeared in my head “Pilot lost directional control on takeoff while squashing bugs against the windscreen” - so I stopped that and flew the plane - let my px get eaten :-)
Thank you for your wonderful videos, and I'm always amazed by how much thought you put into safety. However, @03:33 - 03:57 for the first time since I started watching your videos, I felt it was strange... tbh I'm not a pilot yet, but it feels like I personally would have wanted to make it absolutely clear over the radio that the truck will not be a problem even in a worst case scenario, if I need to reject takeoff right before reaching V1. What's the correct action?
Very great video as always ! thank you very much for sharing and with such humility and professionalism. That being said, I have a question. I've noticed that you are flying quite "low" and I understand the reasons. But I was wondering if there would be any consideration to fly higher to mitigate problems in case of engine failure. I'm not a pilot, but just doing some flight sim once in a while. But even in flight sim, I would be "scared" to limit my options by flying low in case of an engine failure in such terrain. So I was just curious what are you considerations and planning regarding the choice of altitude. Again thank you very much for all the great videos. I'm really a fan !
Oh, so sorry to disappoint you, but I know and have been to, an even better beach airport. You actually land on the beach and is the only scheduled beach landing in the world. It is Barra Airport in the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland.
I’ve flown into barra twice. Once with my friend and once with my dad. Can confirm it’s the most incredible landing experience you’ll ever have. I took a PA28 there
I'm a little bit jealous but am planning to visit Saint Pierre et Miquelon fairly soon using the ferry from Fortune in Newfoundland. Did you have to clear immigration on arrival in France is this a transatlantic domestic flight? Great video as always. Cheers!
Love your vids from New Zealand. Ordered coffee table book as a gift to an elderly ex PNG Missionary friend. Suggest website has different details for payer and addressee. Payment details embarrassingly sent for what was supposed to be an anonymous gift.
Hey Ryan, I went to your website to buy your book, but shipping to Australia is almost as much as the book itself, which makes it a tad excessive. If you can find a publisher or printer here in the Land of Oz, it would bring the price down significantly. Just sayin'.
I was on a commercial flight last week and they loaded the majority of the fuel into the wrong side. Took about 45 minutes to transfer fuel to re-balance.
The book Ryan mentions in the video is very nice. Really enjoy my copy. Wonderful photos and information.
Oh, I found it! 5°57'32.66"S 151°10'19.41"E
Who needs flight sim when we have you 😉
I know you don't get rich flying out there, but man are you blessed. I hope folks buy more sunglasses, books, and flight sim courses from you!
Excellent Vlog! Brings back good memories from the ‘90s when I flew in that part of the world. Would love to do it again.
The wonderful life of a bush pilot in paradise! Thank you for sharing.😎
Glad you enjoyed it

Great Video Apoman🥰
Thanks Ryan. ....Another New Guinea Islands mission, West New Britain
💯 🇵🇬
You guys are so normal folks. I love how you don’t pretend. Thank you.

As a former ADAS engineer, former research diver, and current commercial pilot student, you can...
Nice. The beach airport at K'gari/Fraser Island is... the beach.
Beautiful, magic.
Sunday morning flying ahhhh
Good morning,
Thank you for sharing!
Loved the ride along…..
Take care and safe flights!
Thats a lovely part of the world - not many people get the chance to visit places like that. Thanks for the video again!
Awesome runway! Enjoyed this video brother thanks for sharing! God bless 🙏🏻
I’ve always been amazed at what pilots have to do and remember to do when you’re in the cockpit. It would be to difficult for someone like me
That's why we use checklists. I would forget everything too
Awesome! Thanks for sharing...
Thanks Ryan, really enjoyed the flight with you.
Enjoy your flight❤❤🎉🎉
Nice flight. Liked the discussion of the course deviation to keep things safe as well as the local coastal cloud-lore.
Geter a qualidade dos seus videos, melhora a cada dia!
Every job has its perks
And again wonderful❤
The Hebridean beach airport requires another point to check on your checklist. If the tide is in, one cannot land! I had to stop private flying due to ill health, and ten years later, I still really miss it.
What a beautiful flight. Love the drone footage as well. 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it
Good morning from Minnesota USA! Fun episode!
This channel is so instructive ! Thanks you very much, Sir !
You are welcome!
omg, what a beautiful place .
Thank you Ryan.
Awesome video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting! THank you for taking us a trip to a place new to you and us. Wow, it is beautiful! Your B-roll is stunning! 🙂
Thanks for watching
Excellent Content Ryan. I’m loving the time lapse videos of you flying back home. Thank you so much for sharing. 💙🛩️
You must be a master in "Ladungssicherung". I think "proper securing of cargo" in English, right?! 🙂Wonderful pictures of the flight. Dankeschön!
Looks like the type of place I'd love to fly in to with a beach chair & chill for a few hours! Thanks for sharing.
Love the video's. Keep them coming.
Informative as always. Enjoyed viewing the flight.
God bless you, Ryan. We get to see the view of God's beautiful creation.🙏
Very unique and beautiful airstrip for sure, right next to the ocean front. Thank you Ryan.
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful Flight ✈️
Wow such a beautiful flight...spectacular view and very impressive tailwind landing💯
Thanks.....
nice landing
Great view of the coast, seems rare to see it without clouds. Cheers!
One of your best videos ever…. Narration was GREAT!
my hero
best pilot in the universe
skill and daring do
never been done before
Love your videos Ryan
The drone footage is great!
Wonderful little runway there!
Thanks Ryan and God bless you
Every flight is a great experience with you and also great ideas for Flight Simulator. Thank you!
Glad you like them!
Alesund in Norway is also coast to coast with a few mountains to navigate as well.
Hey Ryan. Drone footage and a timelapse. Thank you. 🙂
Beautiful place!
Reminds me of Cedar Keys Florida which has sea at each end
Lovely scenery ❤
Very cool, Ryan!
Watching your video❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Gosh these videos are fun 😊
That was pretty cool!
Hello 👋
From Shaun 🦉 of New York City 🗽
Awesome video..................
Aloha..........
Great flight.
Thank you, Ryan. Maybe some binoculars to look at vehicles near or on runways :^)
that runway got strong Seghe, Solomon Islands, vibes :)
Nice location!
Over the water with no life jacket? Dare Devil :D
Would scare the shit outta me but you got a cool job
Barra in the Scottish Hebrides is the only actual beach airport, the twin otter aircraft land on the sand, tidal of course so timetable varies
Thanks for all your videos! I’m still catching up on older ones. What mfgr/nodel drone do you fly these days? Thc!

You can land on the beach in Washington State my friend. Copalis Airport

ugh. This is what I wanted to do, in (almost) the plane I wanted to do it in. I like the family model, the 208 GC.
Are those orchards down there at the beginning of the video? If so, what kind? BTW. Great videos. Appreciate the picture in picture info.
Have you also landed Karkar Island & Finschhafen (Gagidu) ? Would be great to see.
One should also consider Molokai's Kalaupapa airport for this honor. Same surroundings . . .
What app are you using in tandem with ForeFlight for your W&B calculations, charts, etc?
Oh, so sorry to disappoint you, but I know and have been to, an even better beach airport. You actually land on the beach and is the only scheduled beach landing in the world. It is Barra Airport in the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland.
Thanks for the location. I'm going to check it out in the Sim.
Hahahahah. A beach which is below freezing 800 out of 365 days a year.
Try K’gari aka Fraser Island Australia where pilots land on the beach. 🛬🛫👍🏻🦘
I’ve flown into barra twice. Once with my friend and once with my dad. Can confirm it’s the most incredible landing experience you’ll ever have. I took a PA28 there

It's a lot like landing at Kwajalein Atol (PKWA)and Wake Island (PWAK) ...
I do miss the islands. Guam 57-61
Considering the amount of rain you encounter on your flights why are there no wipers on your aircraft??
What watch is that? Nice
Do you use any additives in PNG?
❤🎉
Your video audio is getting a bit of of your HF SSB signal . I've always had problems with SSB getting into recordings.
please tell which headset you’re using?
Might that one have originally been a WW ll Japanese landing strip at one time?

Sorry to hear that. I don't think I have a way to add two different email addresses in on checkout
What is ITT, NP, NG on the engine gauge stack?

Yes but Bara Beach airport is not open 24/7, it is subject to the tides
I was on a commercial flight last week and they loaded the majority of the fuel into the wrong side. Took about 45 minutes to transfer fuel to re-balance.
I've had that happen too. Huge pain
