Very impressive Goalie George. I can't wait to see some night operations on your layout. All about I can do is write down my ideas since I haven't been home since last August, I've become hospitalized with a bad virus and I'm recovering from it and waiting for a hip replacement too. Keep on sharing with us. 🦡
Thanks. A friend of mine told me once. Even if you don’t feel like working on your trains, go drill a hole and go to bed. It’s progress. So, with minimal TV time and sports leagues in general irritating me, I got lots of train time!! Thanks for watching!
Looking really good George! I’m stealing ideas for my future layout hehehe. Love the smoker detail… it would be easy for you to add the smell too… Cheers from Chile.
You knew I needed to have a smoker, right?? I use the real one next to the layout for smells. And good food! Thanks for watching. Hope you’re doing well.
Some good progress on all aspects…excellent roadways and outside home details…the smoker👍🏽…industrial expansion is nice…still need the passenger car interiors for my KFC
I wasn't aware that you had a personal UA-cam channel! I have subbed! That road/suburb looks fantastic! Still no joy on the TSU KN1 decoders for my Kato E7s...
Thanks! I don’t post as much as I would like, but it lets me share some things. I need to get an ops video out soon. I have one in editing, juts need to dedicate the time to finish it. And call us on the E7s. We’ll see what we can do to help.. thanks.
Looking great George! The turnouts you're buying from the Hobby shop that you've mentioned, are they hand built turnouts or factory? I'm in the process of replacing all of my turnouts with hand built ones. I've notice not that they look better but the locomotives and cars seem to flow over the frogs better. - Jason
The turnouts are by Peco in UK. I’ve used them now exclusively for years. Never use others. Hand built ones just don’t look right to me. Oversized spikes and no tie plates. And not to mention the time to make them, then paint them to match. Nope. I’ll buy Peco any time. They’re good folks and helps support our industry! And they’re not really that much more expensive, adding in durability and appearance. Thanks.
nice expansion on both ends. might need a run a round track at the one end, but then again I am sure you have a plan . good thing to know about the caboose ground throws. i didn't even know they had power throw switches.. I am Canadian eh. lol . where are you hiding the mini George from miniprints. or the sparky,, ha
I still have to paint them still.. I have the evil overlord lurking near downtown right now. May even be able to see him if ya freeze frame near there. But figures is something I am severely lacking on.. the caboose ground throws are a great inexpensive way to power the frog. With DCC and now Blunami, power losses are more annoying. So, provide as much power as I can!! Thanks for watching sir. See ya soon!
@@sparky107107 a pork butt roast for pulled pork is always good. But let’s see if I can get back out there this year. September is filling up very fast!!
Really nice layout. I myself like when the extensions on my lines aren’t perfectly straight as I can put a drainage ditch or some type of scenery feature. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Would it be feasible to paint a white (or some other color of your choice) tie where you need to stop prior to throwing the switch at your turnout?
In more modern times, yes. Or at least the fouling point. But in 1978, they didn’t have that. Just better trained operators I guess. (Haha. I kid!). He wasn’t wrong. That’s what he did when he ran trains for BN in 1978, so I guess I cannot fault him too much. In the new area, he can do whatever he wants! Thanks for watching M.
Oh? I will have to look. If it’ll work, then may have to do that on the staging yard expansion.. I’m not happy with the way that track lines up. Was better on the tables when I laid it. Sigh.. thanks for letting me know. And thanks for watching..
@@goaliegeorge I don't know if it's released yet I think it's called extendable track or something. You still have to take it out to remove the piece but it stretches. I can't find it on their site search
It was a 3D print off a vendor at a RPM. 3do prints or something like that on instagram. I am not sure I’ve seen him since I got it. So. Sorry I can’t help further.. I consider it a huge stroke of luck that I got it!!
For the MoPac, I get a good mix of 1st and 2nd gen locos. They started a lot of retirement of the 1st gen in late 79-80.
I just ran into this video .... Very impressive!!! .... Subscribed!!!! 👍
