@@wigginlocomotiveworks8199 yea. The armour yellow would taint the layout…. 😂😂 Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. I’ll try to make more this month since I’ll be traveling a lot of September and October.
@@rcthunderbolt thanks. Your vote is considered. I personally prefer no narration, so will see where it goes. May do a combo of no talking, but more detailed subtitles. Thanks.
@@1johnmcwilliams your vote is in the tally. I personally prefer none, but will see what we all collectively agree too. I have to op the new section soon. Metal scrap yard and oil facility. Oh, and team track! Needs a video soon. Thanks.
Really enjoyed the video. Keep the narration, it enhances the experience. Better than no sound or the funky music that sometimes accompanies some videos. Great job of designing the track layout at the elevator too. Your train crews must enjoy the ease of switching there.
@@stephenminton4789 yea. I do t like the music in the background. That certainly detracts from the subject in my opinion. Sound of the locos and some explanation of what is happening. That works for me. I’d love a much bigger space for the grain elevator. But this section was built in limited space based on a track plan from MR Planning issue. It fit the space. With more space now, I’d have done a little different, but it works for now. When I get the building built out back, then I’ll be good. Thanks!!
Hey George, narration can be a good thing. Most model railroaders have a basic understanding of operations, but, they may not understand the operations on other people’s layouts. Describing what you’re doing and why you’re doing it can help them understand and learn
The narration is perfect. Explaining what's going is good. An experienced operator can figure out what is happening, but to a novice it may not be obvious. One other thing.. your sound volume is low and not way overdone like so many others. That is one thing SoCal is guilty of.. too loud, but otherwise I love his vids as well
@@jasonweir6345 I try to use “scale sound”. Which is if the real loco looked/appeared that small, how much would you hear from that distance..? Hi George, Thats lovely. Very interesting explanatory commentary on the operational aspects of your layout. I am sure "Old Charles' is of immense help in manning the throwouts. Sure must be a very fit guy🙂. I am really enthralled how you have planned it all. I have learned such a lot in that thought process. george you have not mentioned the name of your guy who attends to the brakes. Give Charles and brakeman my warmest regards from sunny Sri Lanka. Great video and another vote for the narration. Loving the MOPAC and MKT look before the cover of Amour Yellow.
