speaking of Eri. there is one idea i have for a shot for op6 that i hope that Bones does. Night Eye's quirk is described as him, after touching someone, being able to view a persons future like he was looking at a film reel. and its that power that allows them to discover Eri's (near) exact whereabouts and how to get to her after Sir Night Eye happens to get the opportunity to use it on one of Overhaul's mooks. So i hope we get a shot with a film reel with one of the images on it showing Eri in that "bedroom". how they transition into and out of said shot, doesnt much matter to me. just that said shot is present. because i think that would be awesome

Not once, o n c e, did I think to myself "Deku could just become a kick-focused hero and not break his arms," until he revealed it. It's so simple, it's so obvious, but I spent an entire season thinking he can't fight without injuring himself. F u c k
He can fight without injuring himself fighting with his legs makes no difference to whether or not he injures himself. Deku fought stain with no problem because he found out if he doesn't use all of his power and only uses a tiny percentage of it at a time he'll be fine. even if he uses a 100% kick it would be retarded if for some reason his legs dont break.

I repeat again FOUR MONTHS in universe time. That's the span of time Deku spent with OfA. Don't you think it's great enough how he came so far from being a normal bullied depressed kid once, alone nonetheless despite having a terrible teacher in All Might who never give Izuku good pointer in his training and understanding of his newly found power? It took only 3 days for Gran Torino to make Izuku realize he could use Full Cowl. It took EraserHead one meeting to make Izuku realize that he could focus OfA to the tip of his finger to minimize the damage to himself. Now do you see the problem is? Yeah, that former number one for being a shitty teacher. Fortunately, he's learning. He's aware of his shortcoming and trying to better himself. Tho at the cost of FOUR MONTHS, Deku's Body, and some more. Ps. Horikoshi is such a troll.

I think my favourite small detail in this OP is the shot of Deku being pushed forward by All Might's arm, but then switching to show that it was All Might's deflated form doing so. I like it not just because it reminds us that what was lost to AFO, but I like it because it shows us that All Might is still with us. He wasn't just a guy who beat the shit out of villains, but he was a symbol and now a mentor, and to Deku he is still the same Hero to look up to as he was before. He ensured that he could stick around so that he could help Deku fulfil his dream of becoming a Hero. Even though he can no longer fight, Toshinori can still help push Deku in the right direction and that, to me, is what that detail shows.

The Dynast Queen I feel you dood, something that MHA does incredibly well is its cast. Everyone is so likable and their core character are so well define that you really want to see everyone succeed, except mineta.

I thought it was just a close up shot of Power Loader and maybe what's her face, over enthusiastic support girl, showing who Deku meets at the start of the arc, especially as it cuts to Deku's equipment upgrades. I think looking at them as mystery characters is overthinking it.

Justin Jeffries most of the fights next Season are great, the conclusion is a bit weak and I’m not a fan of dekus final fight with the big bad. Everything after that is just okay, the festival arc is nothing special and I don’t like how all the focus was on Deku and basically everyone else was ignored (also not a big eri fan) the Endeavour arc however is great and I can’t wait for that

Fangsabre it’s been staged in the series that Aizawa’s quirk isn’t effective against quirks that are permanent changes to ones body composition, like ojiro’s tail or tohru’s body being entirely transparent. It only works on quirks that one has to actively use of turn on in order to work

Mother great op analysis from the anime pop him self! However I believe his holiness did in fact miss a detail in the op or maybe I’m over thinking it. Through out the op we see Ochacco without her helmet. At the start in the celebration which is clearly a flash forward her helmet is missing. The next time we she her is when she is in the background behind Deku with her helmet on, the only time throughout he op. I believe that that is Toga as in a shot before is when we first see her as Cammie she licks her finger which could have on it some of Occhaco’s blood allowing her to blend in to the audience as she does in the manga chapter and anime where notably we she a shot of ochaco without the helmet telling us that is the real one. This could also give some significance to the cutie as hell shot of ochaco, showing the audiences his is the real one and she doesn’t have her helmet. God I might be as crazy Jeff for thinking of that...

I'm not sure how often you take suggestions and this is both an old (ish) anime and one that will probably be demonetized but the second opening to kill la kill was really interesting for me as I watched the finale as to how each successive episode re contextualized the fight at the end of the op between Ryuko and Satsuki and was one of the coolest ways to watch a story unfold that I've seen. It would mean a lot for you to consider this or if you have the time, to tell my why it wouldn't really work just as a video essay. Totally understand if this never gets seen though since you have so many subscribers. I love your content and always appreciate the work you put into your videos. I don't know if you ever do anything like a paid Skype chat or anything with fans but the opportunity to get to talk to you about anime sounds more than worth compensating you for your time.

Holy crap! I've always wondered about the dimming thing when bright stuff happens! I thought it was just something to due with balancing out a super-bright bit of animation done by some quirk of broadcasting or digital media. The intentional nature makes sense now. Oddly, I've even started seeing it in non-anime, western shows from time to time. I have been waiting for this What's in an OP since I saw the absolutely gorgeous shot of Deku and Bakugo standing with their backs to Tallmight, moving past their idol and forward, while Tallmight faces back unmoving.
This Is A Name I can't say for Deku because I've never noticed it, buy the author did confirm subverting interesting regarding hero costumes If you look at those dots on Bakugo's outfit, you'll also notice that Uraraka has them as well on her costume. Author confirmed this is because some costumers do leave a brand of sorts, implying those two had the same person work on their original costumes. Can't work for Deku though, best mom made his

Honestly I kinda don't like this OP. The song is (imo) the least memorable/catchy thus far, and while there's a lot of good ideas with the visuals' symbolism and such, they feel kinda jagged in how they fade into each other, and the frame rate sorta sucks. Like, I've gone back compared this OP to not just Odd Future but the other three as well and I can't see how this is the "second best OP." Then again, that's just my opinion. EDIT: I should still note though that I don't think this OP is AWFUL per say, there's actually quite a bit of good shots and some slick animation, I just personally find it a bit cluttered (though that might be due to the nature of this arc). Either way, this was a good video nonetheless!

Justin Jeffries most of the fights next Season are great, the conclusion is a bit weak and I’m not a fan of dekus final fight with the big bad. Everything after that is just okay, the festival arc is nothing special and I don’t like how all the focus was on Deku and basically everyone else was ignored (also not a big eri fan) the Endeavour arc however is great and I can’t wait for that

Fangsabre it’s been staged in the series that Aizawa’s quirk isn’t effective against quirks that are permanent changes to ones body composition, like ojiro’s tail or tohru’s body being entirely transparent. It only works on quirks that one has to actively use of turn on in order to work

you're missing one crucial detail: inasa once said that todoroki and his dad have the same eyes which is probably one of the other reasons why the shot is fixated on endeavor's eyes and then todoroki and is why they're in the same shot making the same face and expression, he's taking after his father

Finally got to watch this, love these what's in an OP videos. Great job as always
Mother great op analysis from the anime pop him self! However I believe his holiness did in fact miss a detail in the op or maybe I’m over thinking it. Through out the op we see Ochacco without her helmet. At the start in the celebration which is clearly a flash forward her helmet is missing. The next time we she her is when she is in the background behind Deku with her helmet on, the only time throughout he op. I believe that that is Toga as in a shot before is when we first see her as Cammie she licks her finger which could have on it some of Occhaco’s blood allowing her to blend in to the audience as she does in the manga chapter and anime where notably we she a shot of ochaco without the helmet telling us that is the real one. This could also give some significance to the cutie as hell shot of ochaco, showing the audiences his is the real one and she doesn’t have her helmet. God I might be as crazy Jeff for thinking of that...

I really really love your "What's in a op " videos, I would like to translate them to share with more people, but since I am not native, sometimes I don't get to understand your English very well, so if you make a kind of guide to do them, I would really like that you would share it with me and be able to translate them, obviously for your own video, and be able to share them with my friends so that they can see you, because I have not seen another person do the same as you when analyzing the OPs and you do it in such amazing way!!!
I'm not sure how often you take suggestions and this is both an old (ish) anime and one that will probably be demonetized but the second opening to kill la kill was really interesting for me as I watched the finale as to how each successive episode re contextualized the fight at the end of the op between Ryuko and Satsuki and was one of the coolest ways to watch a story unfold that I've seen. It would mean a lot for you to consider this or if you have the time, to tell my why it wouldn't really work just as a video essay. Totally understand if this never gets seen though since you have so many subscribers. I love your content and always appreciate the work you put into your videos. I don't know if you ever do anything like a paid Skype chat or anything with fans but the opportunity to get to talk to you about anime sounds more than worth compensating you for your time.

Holy crap! I've always wondered about the dimming thing when bright stuff happens! I thought it was just something to due with balancing out a super-bright bit of animation done by some quirk of broadcasting or digital media. The intentional nature makes sense now. Oddly, I've even started seeing it in non-anime, western shows from time to time.
I have been waiting for this What's in an OP since I saw the absolutely gorgeous shot of Deku and Bakugo standing with their backs to Tallmight, moving past their idol and forward, while Tallmight faces back unmoving.
I just noticed that Bakugo and Dekus costumes both have the 4 dot things near the neck
This Is A Name I can't say for Deku because I've never noticed it, buy the author did confirm subverting interesting regarding hero costumes
If you look at those dots on Bakugo's outfit, you'll also notice that Uraraka has them as well on her costume. Author confirmed this is because some costumers do leave a brand of sorts, implying those two had the same person work on their original costumes. Can't work for Deku though, best mom made his

well when i originally wrote the comment i was trying to point out the details in it being opposite, the dots on Dekus mask are in the middle of the neck while Bakugos collar thing has them at the sides showing that their rivals

Deku's original costume was made by his mom. But after it got destroyed, he had a new made following the same basic pattern. That's why he was wearing just a UA gym uniform for the USJ arc: he was waiting for the company to deliver his new costume.

Honestly I kinda don't like this OP. The song is (imo) the least memorable/catchy thus far, and while there's a lot of good ideas with the visuals' symbolism and such, they feel kinda jagged in how they fade into each other, and the frame rate sorta sucks. Like, I've gone back compared this OP to not just Odd Future but the other three as well and I can't see how this is the "second best OP." Then again, that's just my opinion.
EDIT: I should still note though that I don't think this OP is AWFUL per say, there's actually quite a bit of good shots and some slick animation, I just personally find it a bit cluttered (though that might be due to the nature of this arc). Either way, this was a good video nonetheless!
