I really like that it was really condensed! She gave us the repeat for each round and set us on our way ❤
For those that say that the instructions are too fast--try using closed captioning along with the slower playback. It really helps me, especially when I see a pattern that I like and there isn't a left-handed option available. If I can read the instructions along with the slower playback (muted), I can usually catch what I need to do and transpose it into my lefty ways. Just a thought that might help! It's a great pattern, and I'm planning on turning mine into a shawl/wrap with fringed ends. Thank you Tiffany! I learned my first granny square from one of your beginner videos, and I check in periodically to see if there's something a beginner like me can handle. Keep up your great video tutorials!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and help Sharon. Lots of love. 💕
How can I slow video down? I just can't keep up with her
Thanks Ms Sharon for the tip. I'm going to try that bc she does talk & move her hands so fast that a 110 min video takes me an hour or more to get through.
Tiffany, I have used many of your videos & ideas. I think this one has to be the most beautiful project so far. I'm trying to find the book headband you talk about. My daughter & I are Bohemian, so we love the style. Thanks for all your hard work.
Gorgeous pattern but a tip would be to stop editing in between crochets.. like show the full thing for 2 full stitches at the least then move on. Otherwise such a pretty square!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it. I’m so glad you liked the square. 😊🧶❤️
It's so beautiful and I love Vanna's Choice
I really like this granny square. Thank you Tiffany. ❤
Thank you Tiffany it's beautiful square.💙💙💙
Gorgeous! I am going to make a throw out of that pattern. Thank you so much for sharing, Tiffany! 😊💛
Love this pattern, it is on my bucket list for sure! Have never thought about trying this yarn… but it is pretty. Thank you for sharing.
Wow beautiful love it! Thanks! 💕💕
Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Thank You Tiffany!!
Gorgeous!
It’s really pretty. Thanks for sharing.
I think I'm going to start with an afghan or a cardigan...so many options! Feel the pressure, lol 🤭
Thanks Tiffany for sharing your video. ❤️😘
Beautiful
New 💡 for me to make a blanket with these squares
Thanks Tiffany 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Yay new project!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗😂
Looks fantastic
That’s beautiful ❣️
Beautiful! Very similar to one of many I used in my latest afghan. It was a modified square from the traveling afghan. I want all my squares to be 12x12, so I add to extend them.
Just made this. Came out great. Thank you
So sweet!
Beautiful
I love this granny square that you made it is flat beautiful
This is very beautiful thank you for the clear tutorial!!
Hi Tiffany Hansen right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly 🦋 mosaic blanket and treble crochet blanket and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your UA-cam channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
This is so beautiful! I just bought the pattern. I plan to make a queen size blanket for my bed.
OH! That will be stunning!!!! Please share a picture with me when you finish. 😍❤️🧶
Beautiful square. It would be helpful to show the completed round flat so we can count how many petals or loops or spaces we are to have before going right into the next round. I ended up with too many and had to rip and redo entire rounds a few times. This was difficult to follow and I’m a seasoned crocheter.
I really appreciate you comment. Thank you for the tip so that I can make better video content. I did make a diagram in the pattern to help people with the pattern that like visualization. It could be super helpful for you to reference. 😊❤️🧶
Bellissimo ❤
I love this square! So unique and perfect to duplicate for a blanket or to enlarge as a centerpiece for a wearable. Or ooooo! A pillow would be gorgeous! As for the pace of the video: Personally, I find all of Tiffany’s tutorials to be among the best of crochet content creators. I do not find them to be too fast at all, and I understand that when making a tutorial that there are many factors that go into the logistics of getting the tutorial to work with the UA-cam algorithms to get it seen, length being one of them. So time is a factor. Also…..I do not ever slow the video down because I dislike the voice distortion. The PAUSE button and patience have become my best friends!
Amen sister!!!! LOVE this square a lot! Going to make a blanket 🥰
Absolutely beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
@@CrochetWithTiffany You’re welcome
A throw for sure. Also, thinking about using cotton yarn and making placemats for bowls. I'll have to see how it works out. It is such a pretty design that I want to put it on display!
Your home will look so beautiful! ❤️😘
Thank you, I followed until round 7 when I broke off and continued in my own rounds to make the centre back of a cocoon cardigan :)
Awesome!!! I bet that looks amazing! 🤩 ❤️🧶
This is a pretty flower in a circle in a square.
On another channel, we are making granny squares into bags in honor of a fellow crocheter that has passed. So i would say any size bag would be awesome in these squares. Thanks! 😊
Oh no! Who passed away?
@@CrochetWithTiffany she was a supporter and friend to many UA-camrs and her name is Sylvia. She was blind and crocheted beautifully. She posted most of her things on FB.
Thanks for asking about her.
Great video 💙💛❤💚💜
Thank you so much Kelly! 😊❤️🧶
It’s pretty! I wish it was square. The tutorial was way to fast!
I agree, I'm not a pattern reader and I love this square but she did go to fast. 😩
Tha ks for the tutorial. I was able to follow the video by stopping, backing up and repeat. Love the square. Would like the know the stitch count for each round as when I got to the last round I wanted to be sure I was on track hope it is 21 plus 2SC and 2 CH in each corner.
Lovely patern 👏I made a few mistakes and my round 3 got really tight but I frogged it and trying again Thank you 🙏👏
I’m so excited for you to try this pattern! Keep with it. You’ll get it! 🤗❤️🧶
I’m turning it into bags
Ooohhh!!! This square would make a gorgeous bag. 😍😍
I got lost at round 5. I got confused at where exactly I was supposed to do the 2 single crochets versus 1 single crochet. My square ended up turning in. Now I’m trying to see if I can keep going and turn it into a hat for my dog haha
Ya, this square has A LOT of detail and stitch work. If you are able to get the pattern I included a diagram that might help you out with what stitch goes where. 😊❤️🧶
I also found it hard to follow and the time lapse and voice over did not match. I also found it hard to see where you were putting your hook. These are just observations !!!! The pattern is stunning and I have managed to make it but it could have been easier, as there are some missed descriptions.
Awesomely 😊awesome ❤🧶🫶🏽
Tiffany, love your tutorials thank you for you for your time . . I have often seen you use a glue in hiding your yarn or to stop it coming apart. I can’t seem to locate this glue. Can you advise me what this glue is called or where I could look to purchase this…please …xx
Hi Denise! I can absolutely help you find the exact fabric glue that I use. It's called Aleene's Fabric Fusion Quick Dry. You can find it at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's Fabric. Here is a link for you to one: www.joann.com/aleenes-quick-dry-fabric-fusion-permanent-adhesive-4oz/13309109.html 😊
I watch a lot of crochet videos and this is one of the worst. She blurs the picture as she moves thru the stitches and it really hard to follow. I love the pattern but even if you slow down the speed, it is hard to follow.
Thanks for the feedback DJ-uj6mk
@@CrochetWithTiffany yeah, sorry to say the same thing, it's lovely but I ended up having wrong numbers of stitches, making the first corners was crazy, to put the 13sc's in made me give up 😢
I agree. I’m extremely sorry to say but slow way down cause some of us are beginners and I had to move on to something else. Your work is beautiful though!!
I agree! Wish she would slow down! Horrible
this isnt a beginner tutorial, but i understand what you mean.. coukld barely keep up,.. the 13th stitch row thingy messed me up mentally 😂
Beautiful. How big approx is this square?
Think i would like to make a baby cot blanket, although I would like to know a neat way to sew them all together
Oh Denise, I have some fun joining methods for Granny Squares that you have to check out.

Thanks! I love this too ❣️

@@soniagranobles7944 😇👍
It's a good results but I hope the next tutorials can be slower than this video it's so fastttt😊.. But actually I tried my best to make it and it's a sooo good result🎉, thank uuuu👑✨.
GREAT JOB!! I'm so happy you kept going and did it!!! So proud of you for not giving up! 🤗❤️🧶
Lovely pattern. I’m curious how large the square is with worsted yarn. Appreciate any comments re that. 😊
Great question! First I recommend that you block your square after making it so that all the fine details really shine and show up. After blocking my square measured appr. 7.5 inches wide and 7.5 inches long. Not blocked it was more like 7.25 inches both ways. Hope this helps! 😊❤️🧶
What a beautiful granny square. I will make a blanket. Could you tell me what crochet hooks you use they look good.
I’m so glad you like it Karen! I used a crochet hook H/8-5.00mm with the Vanna’s Choice yarn. 🤗❤️🧶
@@CrochetWithTiffany I know you used a 5 mm hook but wanted to know what brand of hook.
Do you have a written pattern for this
I sure do! Check the description section of the video for a link to the pattern. 😊🧶❤️
Love it! I bought some Scheepjes stone washed yarn. Do you think I can use it for these squares to make an afghan? It’s 78% cotton and 22% acrylic. If so, what hook size would I use? I’d like to use white to attach the squares, what do you think? Thank you?
Scheepjes yarn is very nice. I’m sure it will make a nice square. White is a pretty color to use for joining. I think you will like it a lot. 😊❤️🧶
For she goes fast even when I slow down the video. I did like pattern, though.
Use pause and rewind
I love the pattern but instructions go a little fast
Sorry about that. If you need, feel free to slow down my video by clicking on settings, clicking playback speed and slowing down my video. 😊🧶❤️
I also use pause and rewind when I need a little extra help.
Not able to access your Etsy page to get the pattern…tried several times..😢
Thank you so much for the heads up. I'll fix the link now. Here is a better link that should work for you: www.crochetwithtiffany.com/product-page/flower-in-a-circle-granny-square 😊🧶❤️
Hi Tiffany, this is Cathie Smith, and I was just wondering, before I start this, can I use this pattern and continue it for a blanket? Thanks!!
Yes you can! 100%. This square would make a stunning blanket! Have Fun! 😊❤️🧶
Very fast .. I had to slow it down. Nice design.
What are the dimensions? I need a 6 inch monochromatic granny square
Is there a pattern 😊
Yep! I have a link in the description section below OR you can just go to my website and look under patterns. You can also do a search on my website for the flower to circle granny square and it should pop up for you. My website is CrochetwithTiffany.com. I hope you enjoy looking around. 😊🧶❤️
Very pretty. How many petal are there supposed to be, 7 or 8? My last petal is all squished up to the first petal. I wish the instructions had more details and less editing. I'm so frustrated because I really want to make this beautiful granny square design for a summer top but I just can't get past the petal round because it doesn't look right. I end up with 7 petals. Are there supposed to be 8 petals?
I completely understand your frustration. This square is NOT easy. Definitely up there on the more difficult intermediate level. I did try to help by making a diagram you could visually follow in the pattern. It makes it so much easier to see where the stitches are suppose to go. CLICK HERE: www.crochetwithtiffany.com/product-page/flower-in-a-circle-granny-square
Thank you so much for getting back to me. I'll try that for sure. 😊
It’s amazing even when I slow down the settings you’re still going too fast lol
Sorry about that. If anything I highly recommend you get the pattern. I created a visual diagram that really helps to identify where each stitch should go. 😊
I am new to crocheting, I have never seen someone pull one loop through the working loops in more than one motion. like when she's doing a hdc she pulls the loop through the 1st 2 active loops and then pauses, readjusts, and pulls it through the last one. when I learned a hdc I learned to just pull the loop through all 3 active loops. is there a reason she's doing this?
That's a great question. Readjusting is necessary for certain situations just as if the yarn is slippery or thin, the stitches are tight and you just have to make sure your hook is positioned correctly to smoothly pull through the third loop, or working in the round. Either way, it's not important if someone pulls the yarn through all three loops at the same time or if there's a brief pause and adjust in the middle somewhere. As long as the one yarn makes it through all three loops before picking up the yarn again it is a hdc. 😊
Can you give me written instructions?
Hi Aleena! I actually DO have written instructions available for you. Here's the link: www.crochetwithtiffany.com/product-page/flower-in-a-circle-granny-square
Would you be able to or willing to make a slower video and go into a little more explanation as to what you are doing? I hardly have time to pause and see before you move on. I'm not seasoned but I'm comfortable enough with terminology to follow along to most patterns. It's beautiful though and I'm still going to attempt it but please let me know if you do have or will post a slower video!
Hi Adrianna! Did you know that YOU actually have control of how fast my video can go? If you click on the settings of the video you can select Playback Speed and then speed it up or slow it down where you need it to go. I also think getting the pattern would be a HUGE help! I worked really hard on creating a diagram for this pattern showing where to put what stitch so even if you can't see what I am doing you can at least see where the stitch is suppose to go. I highly recommend the pattern especially for this project. I hope both of these suggestions help! 😊🧶❤️
Beautiful pattern. But way to fast for beginners. Wish I could follow your tutorial. 😢
Oh my, this pattern in itself is definitely not beginner friendly. Even if I slowed down the video, the techniques and stitches are of an intermediate level.
However, if you ever need to slow down a beginner friendly crochet video, all you have to do is click on the settings of the video. Click "Playback Speed" and you can slow down the video. I hope this helps! And don't forget, there is no shame of starting with the basics and working patterns labeled within your crochet level. This will actually help you to have the best crochet experience possible. 😊❤️🧶
Love this granny square but it’s was confusing and really fast at some parts like the 13 single crochets turning the circle into a square and that’s from someone who has been crocheting for over a year
I love all the different shapes in this square . But I wish you can write it down , I kept making mistakes and going back and forth . Thank you
OH! Definitely get the pattern! I not only wrote out the step by step instructions but I also included a diagram to help you see where to place stitches even more clearly. It helps a bunch and I priced it so inexpensively. 😊🧶❤️
I like the stitch but she is too fast
Totally understand Karen. Thanks for the feedback.
You can slow down any tutorial by going up to settings and adjusting the playback speed. On my iPhone it is in the upper right hand corner.
😮 Why so fast?
I apologize for the speed. The pattern helps A LOT! I created a diagram within the pattern as well for helpful visual aid.
@@CrochetWithTiffanyThank you for the pattern
It's not the speed I'm struggling with in this video , it's the fact that she skips alot of the starting rounds forgets to say about chaining etc , I gave up lol
I'm sorry the tutorial was unclear. I worked hard at creating a diagram in the pattern so that it would make sense what stitch to put where. Perhaps if you got the pattern it would help you through this pretty Granny Square. Keep in mind, this Granny Square is more difficult as an intermediate level project. At this stage, the patterns can be essential.
This video is super fast and hard to follow along with. I have paused, gone back and rewatched, and rinsed and repeated so many times and my square is definitely not working out and it's hard to figure out where it's going wrong. If I could offer some feedback for the creator- please put in the breaks/timestamps that make it easier to find a certain spot in the process. This square is beautiful, but it's just not working at all and I can't understand where it's going wrong sadly.
I completely understand. This square is definitely an intermediate level and not easy by any means. If you are able to get the pattern I did include a diagram which is SO much easier to follow than the pattern or in some instances the video because it very clearly shows what stitch goes where. 😊❤️🧶
If you are prepared to put a pattern out there, and then make it hard, why do you then suggest we purchase it??? Very disappointing.
I feel it was made confusing on purpose so we have to buy the pattern if we want to get it right.
Sorry, too fast for me.
I'd love to make this beautiful square, but I just can't keep up following.
My mother language is not English, what makes it even harder.
Sorry about that. Try the pattern! I made a diagram showing where each stitch should go per round. It also has each round written out for you. I hope this helps! CLICK HERE: www.crochetwithtiffany.com/product-page/flower-in-a-circle-granny-square
Too fast
Sorry about that. Did you know that you can actually control the speed of the video? If you click on the settings for the video and click Playback Speed you can slow down the video as slow as you need it to be. 😊🧶❤️
Yup, too fast and not enough camera time on stitches. I’m definitely not a beginner either.
Thank you for the feedback! I’ll focus on improving these tips with future tutorials.
I tried this pattern 2 times and just couldn't understand. I got to the end but they all came out puffy. I'm not a newbie either. She moves so fast and explains things so weird. At the point when you're turning the circle into a square she tells you to do 13 stitches but doesn't tell you where to place them. You have to really look at the video to see what she's doing. I gave it a thumbs down because I don't think a lot of people could be helped from this
Way too fast
Sorry about that. The pattern helps a TON!! I was able to make a diagram in the pattern to help you see where the stitch you are making is suppose to go. I highly recommend. This pattern is so detailed and each row has something different going on. It is hard to slow down enough to show it all. ❤️🧶
I am left with a lot of space from where we beginning to where we end when we make a square. I don’t know where I went wrong 🥲
If it would help you out I actually created a Left Handed Channel where I can put the same tutorials but Left Handed all in one spot so you don't have to wonder if the tutorial will be right handed or left handed. Check it out: ua-cam.com/channels/vgaCVNKkcP0kxJXBFa3XHg.html
