This looks way more simple than using sand paper!!! & the outcome looks a lot better!!!
Wow I wish you had made this back when I was in high school! Acid wash was in & we used to bleach! Yes bleach our jeans! Distressed looks so much better! You can also find jeans @ thrift stores to practice on!
Another good way to do this is to use sand paper. It's super quick and easy. Just rub the sand paper on the spot till all the blue is gone. I did this all the time in high school. No mess, no pulling and tugging to fray.
This was a great and informative video! I just distressed my black jeans from AE and they turned out great! Now.....just have to stop myself from distressing every jean I own!!😜

It's funny because I was already distressing a pair of jeans when I started this video. I find that it's easier if I turn the jeans inside out because I can see the cross threads. And then I use a safety pin to loosen everything.

thank you for this video so helpful! i recently cut up my own jean shorts, like they are for short leg (the jeans) or were cropped and i wanted denim shorts for the longest time but could never find a pair that fit me and was on the cheaper side (most here for girls my size are $80+) so i took the ones mentioned above,and cut them to make them into shorts and the bottom where the hem was is kind f distressed

Any tips for distressing non-stretchy denim? I worked on a pair of non-stretchy ones because those were the ones I was willing to try distressing on for my first time. While I like the look, the spots turned out much more square/rectangular than yours did. I was wondering if the differences had to do with the material or if you had more tips for getting somewhat irregular sized holes.

An easy was to get that look is to use a cheese grater. Just make sure you grate horizontal.
After watching this vid i literally spent 7 hours working on one pair of jeans and im still not done! its sooo addicting
