Hello Everyone - thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy the video! Also, apologies to you earlier viewers for the re-upload. I had an audio issue I needed to fix. Always happy to answer any questions as well, so let me know if there's anything I can clarify. Finally, best of luck at your prerelease!
Welcome back - -- unless you were free of mtg, in which case, don't relapse, Sparky! Don't relapse! Run free while you can! RUN!!! - -- and if, uh, not that, something else, then just, uh...glad to have you back, brother!!!👍🏻 Ps- (...but seriously, in case Mtg is listening and you can't 'answer', it's ok... ...you don't have to listen. You got away once, you can do it again. Gandalf was right. FLY, you fool. Mtg can't hurt you anymore, we got sponsors to ease the transition to freedom...go, go while you can!) Pps- [in case the above isn't an issue, just ignore all that yadayada] ***How about that FOMO?!!? More like MOFO! Am I right?!!? 😂😮🐧*** lol 😉
UB Control with Waste Not/Copy Enchantment/Hopeless Nightmare and kill everything with a handful of counters got me a undefeated prerelease with loads O fun mixed in. 😊 I also got Rankle's Prank as a promo at that is a insane limited card, won me 3 straight matches. Pseudo secret tech in a UB Control shell is Quick Study, Divination at instant speed is kinda sick.
Always happy to see a video from you! I'm especially appreciative of the deckbuilding tips at the end, specifically the info about the likely speed of the format and the average size of creatures. Awesome info to head into prerelease with!
One of the best limited guides out there, so much information in less than 20 minutes! And nice tips about needing to crossover between themes, I didn't realize there were such few cards with Celebration 😮
At my All Will Be One prerelease my pack contained A Monumental Facade, a Mycosynth Gardens, and my promo was a Mycosynth Gardens. 3/7 of my R/M we colourless utility lands... so don't go complaining if your promo is a 2-colour Manland!
Great video! I like that you focused more on a prerelease guide for sealed rather than a draft guide like everyone else does. It was a great breakdown of the set in general. Also, when DU came out I opened 3 painlands in my first prerelease pack. Gave a whole new meaning to painlands for me lol. I still managed to go 4-0 tho miraculously. Had a nice domain deck (even tho the 3 painlands didn't count as basic types) with 2 Tatyova's in it.
Glad you enjoyed! Also, opening 3 painlands would be brutal, but that's awesome you still put together a solid deck. DMU was by far one of my favorite sets.
Good breakdown for my Prerelease for the weekend. Only thing missing now is a list of interactions/removals that i could look over and try to memorize and the video would have been perfect for me.
There's a lot of removal/interaction in the set, especially if you include pump spells and the adventure spells on creatures. Here's a list of what I think are the best "removal" spells including enchantment/pacifism removal, and counter spells. The number is the cmc of the spell. White, black, and red have a ton of options. Blue relies of bounce and counter magic for the most part. Green struggles with having the fewest interaction options, but has the best ways to deal with enchantments. White: Kellan’s Lightblades (2) Cooped Up (2) Glass Casket (2) Moment of Valor (3) Stroke of Midnight (3) Blue: Bitter Chill (2) Misleading Motes (4) Spell Stutter (2) Disdainful Stroke (2) Ice Out (3) Black: Rat Out (1) Faerie Fencing (X+1) Candy Grapple (2) Feed the Cauldron (3) Taken by Nightmares (4) Red: Torch the Tower (1) Stonesplitter Bolt (X+1) Frantic Firebolt (3) Flick a Coin (3) Cut In (4) Green: Curse of the Werefox (3) Spider Food (3)
Agreed, I truly enjoy MMM's prerelease videos more than most! Maybe videos dedicated to what interaction to be on the look out for should be a thing...🤔 At prerelease the first two think I look for is bombs and interaction. However often those are not in the same colors 😡 lol
@@MountainManMagic Thanks for the list. I mostly refer to macs reply to me. I dont so much mean all removal, just the intercation at instant speed that is relevant. I always try to know pretty much all of them so that i can concider them when playing Prerelease. If i see their available mana i can narrow down what they might have ready to go :D
I just had reconstructive jaw surgery yesterday, so I will sadly be missing the prerelease of my favorite set I'm spending some birthday money to get a couple boxes though

Very alive, thank God - but just very busy too. Hope you're well!
