Third strike is probably the best of all street fighters ever regarding style, game system and so on. Despite of the weird characters of the sf3 series (oro remi and others, characters that disappeared with this series) the game is still a pleaseure to play. In order to confirm this SfV brought back the parry system. This game was the top for tech matches.
yksnimus so so. This game series had a weird mood. Starting from Q that is an homage to the late 70's japanese anime. The alpha series is much more lucid, solid and balanced in terms of imagery. I'm quite sure that part of the Dark Stalkers' development team contributed to the development of the sf3 series too. If there was a street fighter alpha made with the graphics and mechanics of the sf3 it would have been the game of the century. Sfa3 had more than 25 characters, while sf3 had 15 characters with a lot of repetitions (Urien/Gill, ken/ryu/akuma/sean and so on). The only game that almost managed in mixing sf3 and sfa was Capcom vs Snk 2, that today is still a giant.
in game 1. After that first knock out, In round 2 Alex he does another super knocking Daiego , he pretty much had time to cross him up as he got up.... no idea why he let him stand up
Third Strike's oki is super complex because of parries. At 0:55 , I can only imagine Valle wanted to bait a parry from Daigo, but the setup backfired when Daigo did wakeup throw.
Chris Crissey Also, because of high parries, crossups on knockdown become a little less useful than in other entries, since you can parry OS block if you're good enough.
Daigo had some many chances to kick him off the planet by overthrowing. He could've used sa afterwards. Oh God. But he fucked up once and turned doubtful. End of story.
See the title which has the names? I name videos according to which player is left (first name) and right (second name). This is consistent across all of the thousands of videos I've produced or worked on, and I believe influenced other people to do the same.
StrifeSoul990 Nah Daigo was garbage here. He looked like he didn't even belong or knew what he was doing. '04 was him at his peak when all of his arsenals were on point.
I never got into SF3.... I was just busy in college. But watching this it is apparent it is a GREAT game. I don’t help but think about how ASS SFV is. I’ve tried watching and it is just boring AF. PLEASE bring back the 2, 3, or 4 team to make 6 and get RID of the 5 team.
Eh, you might want to consider taking off the rose-tinted glasses. 3 was actually considered a massive failure at the time of it's release and it took them 3 iteration to nail the gameplay. The game still had huge system problems and even worse balance problems and the game was only recognized as being good after the fact. Just about every other player ended up liking the older sf games when sf4 rolled around and it again took 3 iterations to get it in a pretty nice state you also forget that sf4 was a turtlefest and was plagued with unblockables and vortexes. 5 is still on its 2nd iteration and was cursed by dropping the ball on its launch. Like every other sf game it has its fans and detractors. It's actually finally starting to shape up with this latest gill update and it is actually more balance then most other sf games. Especially the earlier ones.
@@hodgepodge6579 not to mention now that they are finally adhering to the fans wishes and has finally "fixed" the netcode after 3 nearly 4 years. Far too late, however, as this seems to be the end of the lifespan. Shorter than every other game released prior.
@@nagiiboo hopefully they take another pass at this netcode update. For me personally it's better across the board but leaves a lot to be desired. It's essentially a light version of altimore's mod and it doesn't completely fix the one-sided rollback that ruined SF5's online experience. They really ought to do something about the terrible matchmaking system too.
Red Ken is Alex Valley.
and whos the white Ken??????????????????
@kmden Rt i was joking lol
@@soupboy-yn8oz hahahahahaha

oro is not weirder than blanka, oro fits really well in the sf universe.

Yes this game has a weird roster twelve necro etc..
I still prefer the Alpha series first, but this is a close second or tied for second with SF2 series in my list
BigBossMan88 alpha 3 is still at the top. Yes.
Friendly reminder that this was 10 years ago

Nice battle between the OGs of the FGC
Beautiful match GG Alex.
This match is incredible.
Hardly
This was a very exciting match!
Not really
People who say Ken is "boring" just don't understand the spirit of fighting games.
I've been playing 3S for years and find Ken to be extremely boring
I'm a Ken main. Ken is boring, especially Ken mirrors, especially Ken mirrors with out 2mk punishing 2mk whiff.
thanks for posting this nail biting matches , props
The music just makes it 10 times better.
Valle is a monster too
This is what a real fighting game looks like
It’s fun to try to understand the strategy at play

Low parries are pretty risky with the wake up throws and overheads....
Chris Crissey Also, because of high parries, crossups on knockdown become a little less useful than in other entries, since you can parry OS block if you're good enough.
Valle times the cross up wrong. Plus the cross up was not done correctly.
Raúl L bb
This game takes so much skill it’s not even funny.
@1:23 can anyone explain how he tapped Ken out of Ex shoryu?
Thought it is invincibile
My absolute favourite Third Strike evo match.
Sad
This is basically America vs Japan right here
Ryu vs. Guile: the meta of Street Fighter.
Valle vs Umehara: The meta of US vs. Japan.
momochi veia estas peleas cuando era niño
marcelo fernandez Sabes que Daigo no es mucho mayor que Momochi
omg alex vs the beast
Daigo had some many chances to kick him off the planet by overthrowing. He could've used sa afterwards. Oh God. But he fucked up once and turned doubtful. End of story.
Street Fighter III: No Robbery Edition, Scrub free
nah theres some highway robbery in this game
You can get robbed hard by a lot of chars in this game (looking at you makoto)
Unfortunate that Daigo isn't playing his best here, missed parrys, missed confirms, missed combos
Who is Alex? Who is daigo?
Daigo is the one playing Ken.
More seriously, my videos are always titled with the player order in mind. As such, Daigo is on the left (P1) and Alex Valle is on the right (P2).
@@zachdms thanks
And this was the last time Daigo ever taunted in a match haha
IVIoNsTeRz DeMo yea lol taunt in 3rd has a purpose
Ken can get one damage boost per round by taunting, doubt Daigo would ever do it out of lack of respect.
a super knockdown is pretty much a free taunt (combo dmg bonus w ken)
6:19 This whole round is footsies.
How the fuck are we supposed to know which one is Daigo or Alex?

ok thanks. I just can;t assume that is the case on every video as people make mistakes all the time. Sorry for my french.
i need oxygen tank
Daigo was super rusty.
I wouldn't say that. Valle just got into his head.
StrifeSoul990 Nah Daigo was garbage here. He looked like he didn't even belong or knew what he was doing.
'04 was him at his peak when all of his arsenals were on point.
dkblade27 yep he was, soon after 06 evo he took at mini break from fighting games
+dkblade27 When daigo loses: Hes rusty. When jpanese beats american: OMG THEY SO GODLKE!!
+Thien Diep Nah he won a game here or so and still was rusty judging from his skill set and unfamiliarity.
USA
funny
Jogo horrível...
Sfa2 foi o melhor street fighter, só faltava remover custom combo...
Esse é legal também pô
I might be reading into this but I think Valle threw a few rounds and matches in the series out of respect to Daigo.

@@hodgepodge6579 I strongly agree. Make it similar to USFIV where you had a choice of who to fight in ranked/casual not just battle lounge.
