I have a nice big artery on my left forearm that I can gently lay my finger on and not necessarily using the tip of my finger either. This artery is the best place for me to palpate my blood pressure.
At home my bp is fine, at the doctor's office they're like wow your bp is extremely high for a young person! Which is weird because I'm just sitting there casually as they take it twice.

another way I have use it is with a saturation probe. When you loose the signal you pump up when it return you note the number.
