I did not know that was a symptom of MS. I am recently diagnosed and have noticed the stiffness in my hip joints. Thanks for the information

Weakness or issues in the hip flexors can be a symptom of many issues. Please consult with your doctor regarding your symptoms so that they can physically evaluate you!

Hi Dr Jeff, you guys are doing wonderful work. I fell about a year ago and fractured my femoral neck. I didn't do surgery, my hip was bandaged and held in place with bamboo sticks and the recent xrays show the wound is healed but I have hip arthritis. I can raise my leg and I can get into my car and I can't drive. I use elbow crutches. Can you recommend specific stretches to help me get rid of the crutches. Thank you in advance. I live in Ghana, Africa.

For about 4 yrs now, when seated, I can't hover none of my legs, not even a little bit. So I am in a seated position with my knee bent, I'll have to grab them and put them into the shoe. If I left it up and let go, it will just drop like rock. Super frustrating, no idea how that started.

      Have you seen a neurologist?
I had an old injury that led to bone spurs putting pressure on my spinal cords enough to cause leg drop and falls(at least one per month).
If you’re still on UA-cam with the same name, definitely see a neurologist or neurosurgeon asap if you haven’t already because it only gets worse without treatment, repair, and/or therapy.

Great exercise. I have a lot of spasticity in my hip flexors so they’ve become very weak and shake anytime I engage them. Will definitely be doing this and curious to see if it can help the shaking

I understand the hip flexor is associated with the lower back. My lower back pain is on the same side as my hip flexor pain. Is my problem likely weakness or tightness? I inserstand exercise would differ depending the cause?

can you show us an exercise but while laying down? i can raise my left leg up much more than the right, and i am in a lot of pain and shaking with the right. laying down, standing, either way. but while laying down, its a burning hell to try and pick my leg up. horizontally or vertically , both ways
