- Heya again friends. This tactics playlist has been refreshed, with step by step videos to help even the less experienced field commander learn the basics of large scale combat in Bannerlord, and through the videos 10 part playlist, I'm confident even the most uncomfortable player will eventually learn to command their army with excellence and begin to dominate. Our channel also has more playlists of expanded, more advanced combat if you're interested in upping your game to the next level.
Subscribe, watch, learn, advance, dominate, that's pretty much your future here friends. Enjoy and feel free to ask questions, I check my account regularl!
Goddam this was great as a new player! Also so glad to see someone making serious content that is not over a year or two plus old and patches outdated. Gonna grind through this playlist over the weekend I think.
I'm very confident it will help you get better bud! Goodluck and happy dominating! We also have many more advanced guides on tactics and strategy(see our pre-battle tips and tricks series). Happy crushing!
On console to stretch a unit you start your position with the right trigger and hold it as you drag the unit. Hope this helps someone
Thanks for this addition - I had no idea of course.
It's so finnicky on console I feel like. I try and it never comes out quite right lol.
lol console.. playing a PC game on the toy is lol.. zero mods /vomit as terrible as trying to play mechwarriors on the puny little controller without essential mods
@@Tymelost your insecurity is showing
Thank you for your service sir!
Very welcome, it's my pleasure to help AND to serve.
this video is class, i love the in depth nature of these videos mate. been playing with de re militari mod and some of these tips help a bunch (besides the lack of skirmishers in most factions with the drm mod)
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words and will continue to provide the 'food' as long as you guys are hungry...
This is a great video for learning the basics. I have a few hundred hours played but never bothered to learn how to play. xD
But how do you get that green target that you use to attack specific units?
Thank you bud - the green markers comes from the RTS mod.
Nice! Already cant wait for Volume 2!
Quick question though, how do you force the enemy to engage you? Ive set up forces in beautifuly strategic places and ill be waiting for like 10 minutes and both of our armies are just standing there.. will end up getting horse archers to follow me and i ride back and forth trying to get them to chase us but they never do:(
Haha, for the volumes, these refer more to the distinct TYPES of episodes, some are dedicated to intermediate/easier tactics, some much harder, some to my '300' series which is a fun side-branch where we are challenging huge forces with 300 troops, etc....
For your question, if YOU attack the enemy, sometimes they will play defensive. If THEY initiate combat usually they come and attack you...
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions yeah it clicked after i had a look at you other videos haha, you have some really awesome content man, really enjoying it!
Ooooh, so who ever is the first one to engage is the one who marches forth?
@@skitz-oh yes you are correct however there are a few exceptions
if you engage the enemy while you are outnumbered then they might march towards you
if you are constantly shooting them with arrows then they will march towards you
(cuz they aint gonna let you shoot them to death)
and if you interrupt a seige by joining the defenders side then they will also march towards you
same applies for aiding armies that got outnumbered
these are all ways to make the enemy charge you
(bonus Tip: Looters will always charge you no matter the cost because they lack any form of intellect)
Are these tactics only made possible with rts mod or is the same for console?
I don't ever play on a console but I have had guys who do report that not only do they work, they work well. Happy crushing it!
Don't take an arrow to the face ✅🫡
I felt like I wasn't committing enough of my army to Cav so I've tossed them and just been running shield infantry and archers. It's been fun trying tactics with this set-up
An excellent strategy, no? :)
Plenty of versatility with archers and infantry, but I think for an optimal army, I think it helps to have a solid cav corp, for defense, for charging down retreating foes, etc.
I absolutely agree. I kinda like the simplicity of having just the 2 types of troops and the difficulty of not having Cav.
