- How do I curl my wigs?! 👩🏻🦲 You know this girl doesn’t gate-keep so let’s talk about it! 💗
A few beginning pointers:
1️⃣ The larger the barrel the looser the curl. The smaller the barrel the tighter the curl. Both create beautiful curls, it’s personal preference which you like!
2️⃣ Always use a heat protectant & the lowest possible heat setting. Most hair types are not gonna need the highest heat setting- I stick around 300 degrees or a low/med temp for all my wigs.
3️⃣ If you are new to curling hair or not feeling confident my advice is this: Unplug the hair tool & practice on the hair before applying any heat! It’s all about the hand motions & getting confident with how to manipulate the hair. No shame in practicing, shoot we all started somewhere.
➡️ My LAST point of advice for curls that last?? Let the curl cool down completely before brushing or manipulating the hair. If needed you can even apply a flexible working hairspray to keep those curls lasting all week. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

If you do brush your curls, it’s best if you do NOT use an extremely stiff brush, instead use one with extremely flimsy bristles (i.e. wet brush). For the best results however either finger brush the curls out gently or just flip your head to loosen them up, my mother is a hairdresser of 40 years and this is what she has told me what is best, in the end though, it’s your hair so do whatever you want with it ☺️
Cosplayer here!!! This is acctually completely fine to do on synthetic wigs if you’d like as long as it’s heat safe :D

You actually can with a plastic hair wig! It takes much longer but if it’s all you have and you want it like that then here’s how, wait till your hair tool heats up then unplug it, depending on the tool and the heat you will need to wait around 15-30 seconds before using it on the hair, you might have to redo the starting process a few times before it’s completely done because the tool could cool down too much

You should try heatless curls! They actually work! But one tip I do have for you if you try them is the damp your hair with a spray bottle.

If you brush it out you’ll be separating the curls more and they won’t last as long ask you need to do is comb it out with a wide comb or your fingers

Usually if your curling like not real hair, you turn on the curling iron or hair straightener to the lowest setting and then after a while, you turn it off when it’s still hot use it

A common misconception is they can’t be curled or straightened or washed but they 100% can. I straighten mine like all the time
