Hey guys! Thank you for all the congrats, but PLEASE watch more of the video! I will not be continuing after this semester - it's been an AMAZING experience but it's just not the right time for me :) So I'm going back to full-time freelance until further notice. Hope to catch y'all at a live show or a virtual workshop sometime soon!! Thank you for the support!
THAT PART! Congrats for being able to teach at my alma mater, Berklee! Excited for the next chapter! Big fan!
You two NEED to collab!
Good on ya for figuring out what you need
A berklee professor wow! the students are lucky to have such a great educator guiding them
can confirm as one of those students
@@aburkett0510 :')
poor students felt in love)))
@@ministry__of__truth LOL...truth!
I've been a music production prof at a Uni since I was 25... still going! Probably the most rewarding work, but takes a ton of time and energy and majorly gets in the way of performing. But I gotta say this... last year I got to see YOU (with Anomalie) and you blew me away with your performance. You can always teach down the road, but you have such a gift as a performer... you need to get out there and share that/ grow with that while you can!
:') this is so sweet thank you so much!!
Wow! Congrats!! My time as a professor was some of the most significant learning I've ever done. It's amazing how much teaching others can teach you about mastering your own craft!
Sometimes stepping away can be a really good way of helping you find what you try want in life. I took a two year break from UA-cam early on and actually walked away from musical almost entirely because I was so burned out - and after that time it hit me ... "I'm meant to be doing music." and it helped reinvigorate me.
Glad to see you got the experience and glad it can be a springboard.
If you ever wanna do a producer battle with me - I'd love to chat :) we've gotten a few million views doing it. I'm sure both our audiences would love seeing that - since I'm not an electronic producer and come more from the cinematic/pop world
AYYYYYYY congrats on the Berklee job. I'm an ELPD alum (class of 10'). Also, I worked with (at Apple) and went to school with Matt. It was awesome to see him start The Record Co. Keep up the great work!!
Ah, thanks for the update. Exciting times! and I can sooo relate to the difficulty in prioritizing and finding to make your own music
Missed you so much! Thank you for sharing and doing all that you do! I'm looking forward to hearing new work from you.
So many temptations for comfort are always available for us, especially when we're so close to really making it, or at least having a great momentum.
Personally, I still have a day job, and one that pays decent but could pay comfortably if I get tempted to move up (which they are always asking me to do but I'm refusing).
I'm choosing to NOT live comfortably and "settle down" in order to just have a little time that I use to create content and push it out, just so I can become a full-time content creator (all finances at least the same salary I got).
I keep imagining what I'd do if just sacrifice this time to move up the corporate ladder, take time of creating, save money, then take a year off and JUST REALLY GRIND. But I don't think there can ever be a perfect time, and jeopardizing the momentum now could be detrimental.
I know you feel the same too 😩
Glad to see you around again as your videos are always super inspiring. Cool to see you focussed again on your professional growth. Looking forward to what's coming next!
Really pleased and excited to see that you'll be doing some online workshops - great stuff!
Woohoo snacks! Excited to see what you have in store for us 🥰🥰
Also, sad face to the professor news, but I totally agree with prioritization ✊🏾✊🏾 and I'm glad the experience helped you grow!
WOOHOOO BADSNACKS!!
..... 'bout time you got a proper job Jesse!! 😉❣
Congratz badsnacks! Whatever you do, I just want to know my channel been using your music since 2019, and they never bored me and my viewer at all! If you have spare time, please produce more for us
Super appreciate your transparency! Thank you for sharing!
love the lights in the background! Good luck in the festival circuit!
you're always doing the most for us while chasing what you're excited to achieve for yourself, appreciate you!!
appreciate u more !!!!
TASTY.... JAMS.....
More power to you for making choices that mean something to you! It's very exciting to see you branching out, and pruning some branches too!! :))
Just threw Neat Tape 2 on my "new" cassette deck and thought I'd check up - great to see this update. Sounds like big things are ahead!
Holy crap! Even if temporary, I'm so happy you've had this experience. Keep thriving \m/
I'm soo happy for you!I remember when you told us how badly you wanted to study there and now beaing a professor at this same university, thats amzaing.Bravo!
So glad to see you back! yeah you need to find and maintain a balance and do what makes your heart beat. I am just an older guy who may have worked on some huge stuff years ago but I am still finding myself as an artist and creator and everyone has something of value you can learn from. As Ram Dass once said "When you know how to listen, everyone is the guru." Rock on!
Look forward to seeing you in Chicago on Friday
congratulations for all these brave decisions and opportunities!! I applaud that you're chosing to go through the "less traveled" roads and even if it's harder you know it's so much more gratifying!! let's go 🔥
CONGRATULATIONS with the new job and focus, that’s superb . What a great addition to the future of the arts with your creativity from the real world relaying your experience for your students. Really happy for dynamic range of creativity. Take it easy on yourself though… All the best from London. U.K.
I've been following and learning from you since that video with Andrew Huang and your journey has been so inspiring. Thank you for what you do. You are amazing.
wow...I went thru the electronic music program... I think 8 semesters...back in the late 70's. Only had the ARP 2500...a couple 2600 and of course a pile of Odysees. Lots of fun. Made the 2600 say the word "banana". Moving on is also a popular trend at Berklee too.
Congratulations! That's a huge accomplishment and those students are blessed to have such a knowledgeable professor!
The future looks bright! Looking forward to whatever you've got planned.
Congratz, wishing you all the best!!!😍
I couldn’t get out for Taste of Randolf in Chicago. Grr! Keep following your instincts. You are on an upward trajectory and you will achieve (many more) great things as long as you keep doing what you do!
Welcome back! Great to see you pursuing your art and finding balance in that way. That's not easy but ultimately we have to do what's best for ourselves. Thanks for sharing your journey with us🎐
Great to see you back!
Congrats on the new gig! As a fellow educator I salute you!
YEAAHHHH! It's great to have you back! 😄
Welcome back!!
Proud c/o 95 alumnus I loved my time there.
cant wait to see you at Randolph Fest! keep killing it.
Congrats on big life changes! Wish you the best on this endless creative journey!!
I love "Lucky" and listen to it all the time. I would love you to release more stuff like that.
❤❤❤
Don't feel bad. I work a full-time job as a radio engineer. I've also got other hustles. It's not easy.
Congratulations on becoming a Berklee professor!
So cool! I didn't know about you teaching at Berkley! Wow ... congrats! on the boldness of sticking to your path of creativity! very inspiring !
Oh shit 😮. Congratulations 😊
Professor Snacks
You are literally one of the goats. As an editor, my biggest pain in life is that there aren't more of your songs on the YT library.
Congratulations Bad Snacks! On getting the collage gig and leaving it. Which is a weird thing to say, but it makes sense. Your name should be Bad Ass, cause thats what your tracks are. I look forward to your genius shing through and making my day again. Welcome back! 🤸♀✨💖🎶🌹💥
Professor Bad Snacks sounds really dope, lol. Maybe you'll go back to it sometime in the future.
Looking forward to the new content.
Very excited for you! I had no idea about the Berklee situation, would have asked if you'd met a friend of mine who was going out there. Must have been nice to be home though (Boston guy myself).
Badass! I totally relate to how time consuming being a professor can be. Definitely watch out for the burnout, it took me 2 years for figure that out for myself. Put yourself first for sure!
That's unreal! Congratulations! I was there this past weekend :)
yoo when online course / workshop dropping? big ups, lovee your version of you get what you give that 808 is something else, also a break down of that project file would be sick too!
👏👏👏
I felt like it was meant for me to click on this video. I've been going through the same thing I am creative but I let my 9to5 hold me back from me creating more but now I feel like your video was the sign I needed!! Thank you
Professor Bad has a nice ring to it.
You are very wise! I took a (much longer) turn at being an Ableton Professor too and while it was highly rewarding I completely lost my focus on my art. :) Good for you!
Well done! Huge congratulations! Respect
UA-cam hadn't sent you to me in forever, now today I get this and your "do you need to be in LA". I totally missed out on when you were in Portland. So sad.
I hope the oversees secret gigs are in the UK!!
I seriously need to hug you in that sweatshirt 🥺
Teaching does take a lot, indeed. Congrats but also great to hear you’re coming back to OG bad snacks.
i was a student of yours. i really enjoyed my time in class with you! thanks for everything! :)
I was a music/gym teacher at a private school( I taught K-11)for a year and I feel you. I liked teaching but the timing was not it for me and I honestly felt a bit unequipped for the job. Wishing you well on your future endeavors.
onward and upwards!
Congratulations!
Good on you for knowing what you really want to do.
So real, thanks for the honest video and being true to yourself!
huge congratulations to you, professor snacks! 🎉
That’s amazing! Congrats on being a professor at Berklee. 🎉
Love it, keep it up!
Such an amazing talent
That's a hell of a day job to land, that's awesome!
Good luck to the students.
Yah yah, you're gonna have to keep uploading, I liked your perspective on the stuff we love. How about a short one once a month? (; Gig & Tour vlogs would be welcome!
You have learned a key life lesson. If you make the pursuit of 'balance' within your life, it's is the one and only 'key to success' in all things. If you pursue this throughout every aspect of your life you will find this often keeps you outside of your comfort zone and that is the number one direction that leads to personal growth. You can't grow if you're not moving forward.
Good luck in the next chapters ahead and don't be afraid to put yourself first for the sake of balance. When we balance, we all benefit together. ✌️😃👋
Berklee, AMAZING! Congrats!
You are doing it right. 💯
Fair play to you. It's really difficult teaching music and being succesful. I find teaching takes it out of you mentally for all sorts of reasons.
Hope by overseas you mean the UK...we'd love you over here
Congrats on being true to yourself! Also, how has no one commented on the best part of this video? She apologized to her laptop for accidentally hitting it with her hand. That was excellent. :)
Looks like you got some new gear too! 🐙
🥰
I don't care what the reason is, if it helps you, you do you! Congrats and keep expressing your awesome creativity 👍🏻
Makes sense to me
Dear Professor Sancks, we missed you. Hope you are doing well.
Haven't got a clue who you are but nice set up, I can see a Korg Monologue behind you.
We miss you a lot!
Woohoo!!! Make that music I love!! Glad you had fun teaching but I definitely need some more bad Snacks music in my life!
i hope berklee ask you back when you're ready!
Congratulations, that is a much deserved honor.
yaaaay

Oh yeah congrats! 🙏
hahahahaa that graph at 1:47 killed me! Sorry for laughing as it is not funny at all, but yeah it's very relatable so it ís funny because it's true! Good luck with your future endeavours!

I love your Venn diagram. That describes my life-balance :D
