- Can you believe that these microgreens only took 8 days to be ready to harvest? I have been in a MICROGREEN marathon lately and I am very happy on how these 6 different varieties of seeds did, the tray is a combination of Peas, Kale, Arugula, Mustard, Sunflowers and Broccoli.

Those microgreens look amazing. You might be a beginner, but I think you figured it out! All I can say is ... I wish I was your neighbor 😂. Great job Roxana!
Thank you! 😘😘
Thanks for showing this! And putting them in the round dishes made me realize a ceramic pie dish would be perfect and so cute for growing micro greens if you don’t want so many 👍
Yup, just make sure to have drainage holes, bottom watering is important once they are leafy!
thanks for sharing with everyone.
They are amazing 🥰
I’m so interested in micro greens. Would love to see what you do with them for eating 🌼🐝 Thanks!
It is up to you, I use mine as toppings in soups or as a layer in sandwiches.
I just put a bunch in a bowl with oil and vinegar and a bit of salt. They become a salad all by themselves.
thank you so much. Looks so much safer than doing spouts in jars. It seems like you need to worry more about mold in jars. I am definitely doing this. It gets too hot where I am to grow greens outside in the summer.
Good luck friend! I have never tried sprouts but I do hear that mold is a huge problem with that!
CRAZINESS 😮
Right. Crazy good food.
Exceptional!!!!
Thank you!
Too pretty to eat! Great video!
Thank you!
Wouldn't they make a great centerpiece for a dinner party table!
So how do you eat them. Just pile on your plate and add dressing?
However you wish, in salads, in sandwiches and my fave as toppings in soups
I would be interested in how you are using them for food ..... !!!
Use them as you would regular baby greens, in a salad (mix), as toppings for soups (my fave), as a layer in sandwiches, in your smoothies, etc… they are so nutritious and how you eat them is up to you!
@@SoilandMargaritas .... Thanks ... !!!
Are you going to eat the sunflowers sprouts or will you separate them and plant them later? Didn't know they were eatable.
These are all microgreens, they are super nutritious, sunflowers taste more like “greens”, mustard tasted like horseradish 🙈 and broccoli is super delish!
Sunflower microgreens are quite wonderful to munch on all by themselves.
Will they grow again after your harvest or are they one and done?
One and done, however, I think peas depending how you cut them will come back another time. But this is not true for most.
Don’t understand the purpose in adding the weight (books) for the first two days and then darkness for the third day, wish you would have explained that. Maybe it is on bootstrap farmer?
I talk about those 2 here > ua-cam.com/video/Sa-7uIMypuo/v-deo.html
Weights (it helps keeping the humidity in place, it pushes the roots down keeping the surface flat)
Darkness ( it makes the germinated seeds get “leggy”, so the harvest is clean and easy)
Some seeds need more days with weight and darkness
They germinated in TWO days?!?!
Yea they did 🥰🥰🥰
@@SoilandMargaritas ..i sure wish Bootstrap Farmer would offer their shallow trays in less than a ten-pack tho..☹️
@@cyhomer Do you have any friends that also want some? Maybe go into with 2 other people and split the cost?
@@SoilandMargaritas …no, unfortunately I do not…..I’ll have to see if I can find some in Lowes or HD..
