We could make vitamin rich meat in the future and also meat nutrient rich gmo crops with fibres too :D I am thinking to study bio engineering next year, not sure tho
I get the feeling, reading through the comments, that a lot of people missed the point of the comment "Eating meat doesn't make you a bad person, and not eating meat doesn't make you a good person". The point is that if you try and make people out to be "enemies" and make an "us vs them" mentality, you're going to have a much harder time trying to actually _talk_ to others and help them understand your point of view. If you make someone out to be a villain, an enemy, opposition to what you say is "right and just", you're creating for yourself an uphill battle. Remember that the people eating meat, and the people not eating meat, are all still _people._ Calm down, try and relax a little. I assure you, it'll help. Remember that pointing out instances of others not acting in civil ways is not a good excuse for doing so yourself.
I love how this video provides clear data and does not shame people for their eating habits. The main goal is raising awareness and it provides options if you are willing to make a change. very nice
dn8rofficial There's a way to give an opinion respectfully Most videos will just insult you for your own opinion and try to guilt trip you Which is shoving it down your throat
dn8rofficial >not an anti meat video >just facts Pick one. This video can be considered anti meat for one simple reason; it explains why humans controlling nature with industrial farms just to feed us is unethical Unless your spectrum of anti meat videos are just crazy vegans, you are really looking at this through a narrow lens.
Even when a tiny fraction of calories is made into beef, cows are still eating grass, and pigs are still eating shit. Still better to eat what we're feeding the animals than meat? I don't think so.
Most individuals often fail to explain effectively when it comes to this topic, but after seeing this documentary, I believe you did not fail like others. excellent work Kurzgesagt.
I honestly think fishing is destroying the world to a whole different scale than this... Not eating fish would make a DIRECT impact on the world, going vegan not so much, there is still time to save the oceans easily, but nobody talks about it
JohnyMo the points about meat still remain for everyone. As you saw in the video, doesn't matter if you're buying "100% organic" or regular meat, having a day without meat will give great benefits to the environment and .. well, humanity
Or about fukishima still leaking radiation so much so anyfish in the pacific are irradiated we have mushy king salmon that barely lay eggs now we need a new plauge an a hard reset natural disaster imi
Including the dorks who arbitrarily criticize the grave state of humanity so they can implicitly pat themselves on the back and feel smug for contributing nothing to even a youtube comments page
Well there are people who acknowledge facts. And people who only acknowledge their feelings. Fact: Animal products are needless in the diet, destroy the environment, and cause suffering and death to billions of animals. Feelings: I like meat, fuck Vegans 🖕🌭🍖🥓😠
"The way we treat animals will probably be something future generations will look down on in disgust." This one sentence proves that Kurzgesagt is from the future.
@Angela Li i've never heard of that sort of allergy! Still, if you have a medical condition you shouldn’t force yourself to eat stuff without a doctor's recommendations
@Angela Li go talk to your doctor about diets. That's basically what you do when you think about changing diets. You *_ALWAYS_* check with your doctor and ask about diets and how you should change it, gradually or immediately.

'And if you can, make it something more special again' I think this holds a lot of weight. Respecting how much resources went into producing meat, and not consuming it day in day out truly makes us appreciate it more.
@@morgandax5590 I really want to go vegan eventually but I'm very bad with food and hardly eat anything, especially fruit n veg. I want to start doing this though I think it's a really good idea
That’s what I decided to do after long ethical contemplation of eating meat. I love the taste of good steak, greasy bacon, or the occasional game meat, so I don’t want to quit them. At the same time, I feel responsible for the planet and care about my health, so meat-rich diet is not an option. I decided to treat meat as (well…) a treat. I try to eat it less often than twice a week, generally once a week. As I 'use' much less meat, I can afford to buy the best (both in quality, as in animal treatment) meat available. I don’t lose one of my favourite kinds of food, but at he same time I make a difference. A very, very tiny one, but still. Few my friends are hunters and I consider also starting to hunt. Maybe then I could switch to eating only meat I hunted myself, but I don’t know yet TBH.
@@g0blin_sh4rk I think you should try it. Don't have to do 0-100% vegan, just start where you are now, have a vegan day a week where you try out dishes, or cut out meat, milk or eggs out first and see how you go. That's how I went from cheese-addicted to vegan. And I don't regret any part of the journey :)
I am Vegan+ (I coined that term). Most of my diet is plant based but if I really feel like eating a steak - I select high quality meat, make an occasion out of it. That way I don't feel like missing out and I don't doubt whether I have enough B12 or not. My health has gone up amazingly and my grocery bills are pretty chill. This is how my great grandmother lived (because meat used to be a rich person's game back in her time) and she lived a long and fulfilling life... So, I am assured that it's not a life neceessity. I remember the village farmer coming over to our place to get drunk when the butcher came to town. He loved his animals - how could you not love those innocent creatures? But also had to allow them to be slaughtered... Maybe there was no alternative livelihood for him but I have about 1000 times more options on how I make my money
Lab grown meat is a godsend. How many people the world over without access to quality protein will be able to feed themselves. How many innocent animals will not have to be slaughtered to feed us. How much land will be repurposed to back to a natural state impacting greenhouse gases.. If you had a choice to eat two identical products, one of which is predicated on inhumane animal treatments and death and the other with no such issues, what would you ethically choose.
So you do know what to do to REDUCE as much as possible your own feeling of shame... Edit: for some of you, if you think you are the victim and not the bully in this story you did not quite understood the stakes. beyond some messengers and their possible lack in communication skills there is the depth of their message.
@Jakob S You can find examples in the other comments for this video; the fact he isn't spoon-feeding it to you doesn't prove him wrong. There are people who say horrible things on both sides, and if you seriously don't know of any instance of vegans going ape shit about how evil, depraved, selfish, and destroying the world all meat-eaters are then you either don't frequent comment sections on vegan/diet topics much or are willfully ignoring it.
You’re making it sound as if you didn’t take what the oh such mean vegans said to you into consideration cause they were mean to you. Jesus, people. By the way those two sentences are essentially the same but you’re just twisting one of them to take a shot at the vegan’s being oh so mean by telling you to stop doing something. Stop twisting your words and actually think about what they said rather than how they said it.
There's a justice system in place to stop people who don't care about others lives abusing them because suggesting that they don't abuse is not good enough to stop abusive humans. Every meat eater knows they are abusing animals. If suggestions worked everyone would be vegan already. Suggestions aren't enough to stop the selfish socially accepted animal, planet and personal health abuse

Artificial lab grown meat will likely be the future, no more animal mistreatment, much better resource consumption to produce. Make it healthy and safe and I'm 100% in.
@@Wichnam It'll be a blip on the radar as to how big of an issue that will be. Most likely "live" animal meat will slowly be phased out; demand for it will reduce, due to increased demand for lab grown meat when the quality goes up and price starts to come down. Any left over animals that nobody wants to slaughter for meat will wind up in farm sanctuaries, which already exist. But honestly, I suspect there will still be a niche market for live animal meat for a loooong time even when there are more ethical and just as delicious options because humans are fear-driven and afraid of change.

Ayaan Abdin I don’t have to agree with the video’s message. If you know the facts and don’t have dietary restrictions then there is no reason to not be vegan.
gassed and then shredded apart. that seems oddly similar to how a specific ethnic group was treated in ww2 EDIT this is a fucking joke no offense to anybody who sees this
I'm definitely all up for lab grown meat. I know a lot of people are going to make the argument that like MSG it's human created and not as healthy as "natural food". But man, humans have always been domesticating and genetically modifying plants and animals for food, there's rarely any food you eat that wasn't created from mankind interference.
I decided to eat a vegetable meal if possible I think it is nearly impossible to replace my fatty diet with completely vegetable meals instantly but from now on I will reconsider when I eat meaty food and try to change my habit as much as possible.
I make myself 2 hamburgers per week, with fake "Beyond Burger" meat. People would think it's real meat... not like many fake meat. With Mc.Donald Sauce, and other stuff --> It's even better than any other hamburger I've eaten.
I work at a steakhouse. I literally cannot express the amount of meat that gets wasted. And, it isn't the restaurant doing the wasting, its the guests. Steak snobs are a real thing. Someone orders a steak, they want it cooked absolutely perfect. Even just a slight variation in the color of the steak will have them saying "send it back, bring a new one." Its almost as if they are proud of it. They flat out refuse to even try a bite. I get it, you order something one way, that's what you should get. If you order any plus temperatures at a steakhouse (medium rare plus, medium plus) you are a steak snob. I promise you that if you were blindfolded and tried a medium versus a medium plus steak you would not be able to identify between the two. My point is, try actually TRYING your steak before you send it back.
@@Chris-nw2lf no, you can't. I'd put money on it. We're talking a 3° difference in temperature. Do you taste the difference between when you've started eating your steak to when you've finished, because the initial heat has likely cooked it up 3°
@@Chris-nw2lf For a steak to be considered medium rare the inside temperature has to be about 130°F so for it to be medium rare plus that's 3° temperature difference more. Sure, I suppose it is possible to tell the difference, but it would be so minute. Basically, if that small of a difference is enough for you to send your steak back, you're a steak snob.
Back then when I was growing up overseas, we bought our meat at wet markets and we watched (most times) the slaughtering (usual quick slash to the neck or a quick pound to the head) by the seller. We don't buy one pack of breast or one pack or wings, we just buy one chicken or fish, or one/few parts of the pig (no multiple packed cuts). We eat all parts of the animals, from head to tail, from intestine to blood. I know the world is a different place now but it sends a shiver down my spine every time I see neatly packed meat parts (like the 24 packed wings) in the supermarket. I don't get the super moral bits of killing things as most animals are omnivores (we kept chicken and they would eat worms, insects, smaller animals and...their own kin if given the opportunity) but if I am going to consume another life to fuel my own life I'd rather consume its entirety if possible. Food waste is worse than eating meat on my moral scale.
some of the data kursgesagr uses are generalized i, as an example, live in a third world country, while you can find packed meat in supermarkets generally people here is used to go to saml businesses or local markets, it is like you described
Packaged meat doesn't mean waste. The corporations behind commercial meatpacking use the waste. Well, they sell it to people who put value on it (hence buying it, lol). There's some waste, but honestly, it's probably less waste than your family leaves, since they're using parts deemed inedible to humans to be part of animal food, fertilizers, biofuels, etc.
Your video is the only one that's ever made me reconsider my stance on meat. I have vegan friends, I've heard of what goes on at factory farms, I've even read about the antibiotics and greenhouse gas problems, but I've never seen it all presented together, so eloquently, so (apparently) agenda-less, and so dispassionate. I have no moral qualm with eating animals, and I likely never will, but you've convinced me to take a couple days a week to be animal product free. Thank you for the video, and know it's made at least a tiny difference, starting here.
How about you wait until you actually eat that 1000 dollars steak that doesn't taste or feel like steak? Lab meat might eventually be a good solution, but it is nowhere near ready.
Tell that to a lion when it eats a gazelle. Life is cruel and something needs to die to provide sustenance for another. That's life. I agree that we can be kinder to animals with more humane farming, but let's not pretend it's possible to stop all killing for food.
This channel is doing really important work. Thank you for helping to educate me and the rest of the world on complicated, interesting, and vital topics. Videos that present the facts in an honest, unbiased, and non-accusatory way like this one and the vaccine video are so well done and necessary!
@@miguelbr5807 Other videos are 100% biased as they say eating meat is bad. Period. This video shows both sides. . . which is kind of the definition of unbiased.
I mean technically they were. Because if slaughtering animals didn't exist, this video wouldn't exist. So we're animals hurt to made this video? Vaporwave plays
This is the most honest video about the negatives of eating meat i've ever seen. You've altered my opinion and made me feel bad about eating meat without attacking me. This is the proper way to win an argument. I can't hate on vegans anymore.
I don’t think it’s about winning an argument, it’s about the truth of the ‘meat’ and ‘dairy’ industries treatment of animals. There is no justification for the abuse and ultimate death of sentient beings for food, when there are plant based alternatives. I was indoctrinated into the system but for the last two years have been wholly plant based. I feel better for not causing anymore harm to animals consciously, and ultimately the health benefits gained are exponential. But for me it’s the animals that matter...
Well the thing is, that sometimes you need the aggressive fundamentalists to make a difference. I could use the example of the suffragettes, but I won’t because some people think that they were not necessary to the gain of women’s suffrage. But actually a significant amount of the vegans were swayed, at first, by aggressive shouting and stuff like that. But definitely not everyone. I was swayed by a sticker on the tube for Veganuary.
The arguments in the video are quite standard, and not very good, they don't go deep enough. Many of the Kurzgesagt videos are very good and insightful, but they missed a lot of points on this one. Not impressed.
A few things left out. Farmed fish are fed with about 5x their weight in wild caught fish, which are caught in huge miles long fishing nets in the ocean. The land used by beef directly contributes deforestation in the Amazon rainforest. All animals are fed with soy from deforestation, including those that claim "grass fed". The land used for milk and cheese per calorie is greater than that used for chicken or pork. Red meat production however uses far more land than any other food.
Usually vegans think meat is not good for themselves, not about the environment. BTW i wanna taste cloned human meat. Edit: i DON'T wanna taste human meat anymore
Some will some wouldn't, some people don't like the taste of meat. I for example will buy a giant ton of synthetic meat if its actually as good for the environment as veggies are.
depends on the individuals reason for not eating meat in the first place. if it was purely an ethical decision, they probably would. if it was a healthful one, probably not. however there are nuances to both sides. for me personally, I have no desire to consume flesh, synthetic or otherwise.
@Anna vegans be like: your a bad person for eating meat cuz i get triggered when people enjoy food. like i know how bad the conditions are but just cuz i eat meat doesnt mean im basically gonna grab a knife and commit genocide or diddle kids
@@Abberaeitsneozm I mean I’m not a vegan but I don’t see what’s wrong with lecturing others on what they should eat, though they don’t have to change if you stop eating meat and not only that, you tell others to do the same, you could stop demand for meat making the conditions somewhat better for the animals
I really appreciate that his answer was not "Never have meat ever again!!" Rather, it was much more reasonable to limit the amount of meat I consume. I might actually do this!
Yeah you should reduce it gradually but your goal should be none at all because even once a week is still bad for a cow a pig a chicken a fish and the other ones
Something to help with your report, one of the problems with this assessment is not all agricultural land and feed are created equal. No one feeds cows human grade corn unless it's the byproduct of oil presses and distilleries - after the humans used it. No, you cannot feed humans rotting byproducts or grass that grows on largely crappy land not suited for most crops. On top of that, rotating crop fields is a necessary part of restoring nutrients after intensive farming. Land shouldn't be exclusively used for only 1 product, the real problem is monocultures. Global Rice production produces just as much methane as cows do, it's not just meat that is problematic. It's all of agriculture. Yes CAFO (concentrated animal feeding operations) is problematic and shouldn't be the standard either, but this critique glosses over the fact that a small family farm is an artifical ecosystem that works best with both animals and plants. We have chickens because they eat all the insects instead of using pesticides. We have cows, goats, sheep, and other herbivores because it means less gasoline and diesel to run grass cutting machines and use their poop for running Biogas generators. Everyone should be using Biogas for the food waste and poop if you really care about methane production or converting methane into less harmful CO2. Crop farms hire hunters and pest control all the time too, so if you think eating plants kills less animals woo wee sorry to tell you but we kill way more rats and insects and fish each year from crop agriculture than we slaughter animals. Every day is killing day for an unwanted farm pest, whereas livestock on average take 1-3 years to reach market weight. No one goes around and counts all the dead rats hiding in the bushes and holes. Comparing these two realities is disingenuous when you don't even know the real numbers about how living things are affected by humans. You can't really claim an honest ethical high ground as a supermarket vegan just by pretending animals don't die in the process of raising crops

Lab grown meat is something very interesting. Its not a chemical or gmo thing as many think. What actually happens is that a piece of muscle is grown. Instead of growing an animal, and discecting it for its muscle flesh, we just grow muscles directly! This technology in theory works for organs too!!! So, technology for growing meat, instead of animals, is also technologie for organ replacements, healing and medicin! Definitely a field of technology that should be invested in!!! They even revently grew, cooked and served meat in this method. And, while it was only a small thin slab, i still was a absolut success!! Yay for the future!
@@blankblank5409 If humans do fund a way to perfectly and cheaply create artificial meat animals will no longer serve a purpose. As the population rises further and further what justifies the existence of animals.
Yea but after listing so many reasons why the industry is awful - it felt like a huge cop-out at around the 6:30 mark when he's basically saying "...(uuuhhm) life is complicated. soo just eat ...less meat maybe?". Almost like they knew that by saying "Go vegetarian!" or "Go vegan!" they would lose thousands of subscribers in record time... Just my opinion tho.

@Vegetables and Depression I did watch the whole thing. You guys go through just as much plastic and shit as the rest of us and vegans tend to prefer organic farming which is horrible for the environment. My point was is that farming isn't really the problem it's energy production.
batt3ryac1d I think people nowadays throw the term ‘roasted’ around too freely. You should admit that you said that only to support someone that has the same point of view as you have and didn’t actually think that the comment was actually worthy.
RanDumSocksGames if this was a vegan video it would be 3% different, it say "if you care about this topic and want to make a difference try your best to transition to being vegan for the world and the animals" but of course that's really pushy so they can't do that. stay doing things that are bad for the planet, you're not a bad person and you're not a hypocrite!
No, this videos says nothing new and doesnt even take a side, so its a hollow shell with now weight in the meat-no meat discussion. Its regurgitating all the info that we already know about the meat problem.
As a vegan, I couldn't agree more. There's a place for activism; but this information needs become mainstream... I mean, vegans have been saying all of the same things this video did for years, but even the word vegan just triggers people enough not to listen. That being said, think a little about the conclusion of the video! If you disagree with something morally and know there are better options, is reducing by 1 day a week REALLY enough to align your actions with your morals? It's a fantastic stepping stone and if everyone did it, it would have a big impact. And to be honest, I did this myself (reduced animal products to limited meals, days per week, and eventually vegetarian), but from there the logical transition is to completely or at-least almost entirely animal product free because that's just where my morals sit... I decided my actions should at-least reflect that the vast majority if not all of the time. I hope that people can see it the same way too (but I also respect that not everyone is there yet or agrees, and that's fine).
Kurzgesagt, you have my full respect by educating the public about the horrors, yet still not shaming them for their choices and instead just nudging them in the right direction. Amazing work!
Why are so many people critizising the video by saying that a fully vegan diet isn't healthy? Something like that is never said in the video. They are merely advising people not to eat meat every single day for every single week of their lifes, which is scientifically proven to be better for your health. So calm down for a second and actually listen to what is said in the video, jeez.
John Harvey being vegan is not eating animal products. Nothing more. You can be a vegetarian or a meat eater and judge people just as much for what they eat or don’t eat.
If you're gonna buy food, the best way to respect the lost lives is to not waste a single bit of it. this applies to plants too - my mother will disown me if I pick out my celery

"If you want to eat meat produced with less suffering try to buy from trusted producers with a good track record. Even if costs more. To make an impact on the environment go for chicken and pig rather than lamp and beef as they convert their feed more efficiently into meat." @ 6:55 - 7:12 No one in this video put a gun to anyone's head and said they had to be vegan.
@James R With that all said those are solutions to people who don't want to give up eating meat or want to start making a difference. It's not telling everyone they HAVE to become vegan.
Danger Pear If I am being honest, this video while it is very fair and ‘neutral’ it is largely speaking an education video on why humans treat animals bad. It is a little biased against meat. I love meat btw. But I wont say it is completely neutral, since that would be impossible due to innate bias Hell, you said and the video said “not eating meat doesnt make you a good person and eating meat doesnt make you a bad person.” Setting aside this one statement, the video portrays factory farming in a bad light while ignoring lab grown meat or free range meat largely as a topic, probably because most of our meat is made in cruel factory farms. Which is unethical Because the video explains it so Is it really neutral since it explains the majority of our meat is made this way? Care to explain some more points I missed? (Not trolling, legit question to you.)
I wouldn't say it's entirely neutral, but not for lack of effort. The only major flaw is that they focused too hard on the environmental and ethical angle, and not even touching on how business and government forces are ensuring its continuation in its current form. For example, it's not that people are eating meat just because meat is good, but because meat is also a lot more affordable for the average person compared to any other food group, at least in the West. Poor people in the West have diets high in meat, especially fatty meats, because of its affordability and lower perish rate compared to healthier options. Incidentally, this is also a reason why the obesity epidemic primarily affects the poor. This video should get a part 2 to touch on the more pragmatic issues surrounding this topic.
@1000 subscribers with no videos? I can understand your perspective of being horrified that people can do these kinds of things to animals and seemingly remain unaffected. However, I would argue that we should be more angry at the meat and agriculture industry that promotes animal slaughter on this scale than the workers in the factories that do the brute work. The reason for this is that I guarantee that the vast majority of those factory workers are absolutely disgusted by their work, but sadly it is a widely available job, and people need work to survive. My dad's best friend in college had to work at one, and my dad said every time he saw him he was pretty much miserable and smelled vaguely like a chicken farm. But the kid had to pay for school, his rent, and help out his parents, so he essentially had no other choice. I reckon animal suffering on a huge scale will continue until some group/movement forces a gradual descaling of the meat industry, which will be quite a feat, although I'm not sure if that is correct or possible.

Well we're not exactly there yet but i think it's a good alternative in the future once they get all the prices, taste and texture down. We should be focusing on things like this instead of calling eachother names...
Yasseen Moussalli price wise it will be cheaper - you don't need to feed your labgrown meat any water or food and if you once have the tissues and equipmentou need it's not so expensive. And when it comes to taste it will taste excactly the same because it practically is exactly the same! About cuisine flexibility I don't know tho
@2341 5h4m3 everything you eat has an effect on environment, yes, but there are huge differences as to what extent. To feed an omnivore takes 18x more land than a vegan. Also a lot more water. It takes up to 25x more plants to "make" 1kg of meat (depending on the quality). Humans can live healthily without slaughtering animals, why shouldn't we then. And no, the environment is not going to be fine at all, 97% of scientists agree that present climate change is human made. We already see the effects in many parts of the world. If you don't care about your future, at least try to care about that of your descendents, should you (ever) have any. If you are open-minded enough, please watch "cowspiracy" for environment, or "dominion" if you really think you don't care about animals. And I also think there is a god, and I believe he is very displeased with how we are destroying his creations, fellow animals and our and their home planet.
@2341 5h4m3 hi, i'm not here to reply all your message but only some stuff(because i'm busy) Water is reusale only if not polluted. For clean the polluted water we still need resources. This is too short to explain, i have no elements in this moment for explain that, sorry. Another thing is, the OGM in this world are feed for the animals, not for humans, so we are using soo much land(as you said) not for us but for animal stock. Another thing, yeah a lot of grain is waster(not only grain but you understood), but more and more is gived to animals for feed them that will feed us. 12 g of veg protein do 1 g of animal protein. I'm not here to insult or other, but all those problem are real, even if you want or not trust them. Bye.
@2341 5h4m3 OH MY GOSH, THAT LAST SENTANCE WAS A BIG NONO. can you even RESPECT other people’s beliefs?! Also, water is not reusable. We probably have half of the water our environment had before the first two humans were made, considering we need it so much. Also, taps waste a lot of water. In theory, bathes should be a lot better for the environment because you don’t waste so much water. This is why water bills are a thing, you hurt the environment, you pay the price; literally.

If only we had the sciences to do anything and had infinite energy, but we have to resort to tactics like this to feed 8 billion people.
Lab grown meat is a godsend. How many people the world over without access to quality protein will be able to feed themselves. How many innocent animals will not have to be slaughtered to feed us. How much land will be repurposed to back to a natural state impacting greenhouse gases..

Any left over animals that nobody wants to slaughter for meat will wind up in farm sanctuaries, which already exist. My point is, try actually TRYING your steak before you send it back.
kevinthibodeau i promise you we can tell the taste.
@@Chris-nw2lf no, you can't. I'd put money on it. We're talking a 3° difference in temperature. Do you taste the difference between when you've started eating your steak to when you've finished, because the initial heat has likely cooked it up 3°

This is the most honest video about the negatives of eating meat i've ever seen. You've altered my opinion and made me feel bad about eating meat without attacking me. This is the proper way to win an argument. I can't hate on vegans anymore.
We don't really hate vegans, what we hate are those aggressive fundamentalist vegans.
Fucking pussy. It's just the industrial revolution's fault

I wonder if synthetic meat can be produces in large scale quantity, will vegans eat it?
Usually vegans think meat is not good for themselves, not about the environment. BTW i wanna taste cloned human meat.
Edit: i DON'T wanna taste human meat anymore
If it is 50% as good as ground beef, I'd use it. I cook a lot and love beef, but I do wish it didn't come from cute animals.

I for example will buy a giant ton of synthetic meat if its actually as good for the environment as veggies are.
from friends i have who are vegans, they are the ones pushing for it the most, so i think a lot of them would eat it
depends on the individuals reason for not eating meat in the first place. if it was purely an ethical decision, they probably would. if it was a healthful one, probably not. however there are nuances to both sides. for me personally, I have no desire to consume flesh, synthetic or otherwise.

My teacher is making us do a project on this, im not complaining, the way you explain this is perfect, thanks for not being a boring channel :D
@@KevinsArmory this felt personal 😐

What actually happens is that a piece of muscle is grown.
Instead of growing an animal, and discecting it for its muscle flesh, we just grow muscles directly!

@James R It's not. They even go on to say that we shoudn't stop eating meat entirely, just reduce it. Two sides of the argument, that classifies as neutral to me.

Then literally right after they offer solutions, if you want to participate, to mitigate on how much you should eat meat.
"If you want to eat meat produced with less suffering try to buy from trusted producers with a good track record. Even if costs more. To make an impact on the environment go for chicken and pig rather than lamp and beef as they convert their feed more efficiently into meat." @ 6:55 - 7:12

It is a little biased against meat.
I love meat btw. But I wont say it is completely neutral, since that would be impossible due to innate bias
Hell, you said and the video said “not eating meat doesnt make you a good person and eating meat doesnt make you a bad person.”
Setting aside this one statement, the video portrays factory farming in a bad light while ignoring lab grown meat or free range meat largely as a topic, probably because most of our meat is made in cruel factory farms.
Which is unethical
Because the video explains it so
Is it really neutral since it explains the majority of our meat is made this way?

Yeah, mine 2

Another thing, yeah a lot of grain is waster(not only grain but you understood), but more and more is gived to animals for feed them that will feed us. 12 g of veg protein do 1 g of animal protein.
