There are a lot of good tutorials that I looked through, yours by far is the best and most comprehensive. I like how you give little tips along the way, great video angles and everything. I successfully replaced a screen on my daughter's iPhone 8 Plus and everything works perfect (so far) thanks to this tutorial! I still don't understand why everything can't be Philips head- but that's Apple for you! I'm 56 and at my age definitely need magnification with these tiny screws. I think the hardest part for me had to deal with the camera/speaker/sensor assembly removing, then wrapping to back up to fit on the new screen- but your video was super clear about how to do that where others did not have that detail. Thanks again!
Just wanted to say thank you. Out of all the guides out there yours was the best in my opinion. The only thing missing I think is maybe giving people tips on what to do if a screw is stripped.
Well explained and clearly presented. The best video on You Tube for iPhone 8 Plus by far! Thanks for your efforts. Off to change my screen now with confidence and your video running at each stage.
Did you ever make the video of if someone breaks their ear piece. My camera slash ear contact came off in two. I would greatly appreciate it if you can show me how to repair it.
I wish I would have watched this first! I watch another short vid from another guy and I rushed the disassembly... you’re video helped me get it all back together with the new screen. It all works great except there is no sound out of the earpiece on phone calls. I think I may have damaged the cable when I was taking it apart. Apparently it’s a fairly common issue. Thanks again for the vid!
dude you are a legend, thanks so much for taking the time and posting this really proud of myself to have a go and fix my own screen. Your commentary was really easy to follow. Thanks again mate.
Yep, tore the camera ribbon assembly so bought a new one. Did you ever do a video on replacing that assembly as suggested in this video? I subscribed and searched your vids but didn't see anything. Looks like some fancy folding involved...
@@GoCellPhoneRepair The old cable and a whole lotta pausing the video was key to finding how the two sensors were folded into their slots. I couldn't get things to stay in place so a micro amount of super glue under the four gold contacts was key to getting things to stick enough to get the camera strap over and the retainer on. Got it...and it works. Thank you for the great detailed video. If you ever edit the video, it would be nice to detail how those camera sensors are arranged.
@@GoCellPhoneRepair A couple of other observations. I bought this phone as "reconditioned and tested". I suspect the screen had already been replaced because of two things: 1) there didn't seem to be much adhesive around the edges when I removed the old screen; and 2) the flat Apple proprietary screws seemed to have been replaced by more standard tiny phillips screws (I didn't need to use the Apple screwdriver). Hope this helps someone else in a similar situation -- make sure you use the screwdriver that actually fits. I also didn't use the adhesive sheet to seal the new screen back down. It shouldn't be in any dusty environments, and I'll guard against moisture getting in there like I did before. Thanks again...got a feeling of accomplishment even though it took me two days -- mostly waiting for new camera assembly I'd ripped.
I replaced my iPhone 8 Plus screen and I think I forgot to remove this plastic seal on the back of the new screen No my iPhone keyboard is really laggy Do you think there is a link????
I just replaced a screen today and thought that that sticky piece was part on the camera connector. I got scared 😂 but once I saw this video I was like thank God 😂
I NEED HELP!!!! I followed your directions but then after I finished, the backlight of my screen is DIM ON THE LEFT SIDE!!! My ear piece speaker also isn't working but everything else is fine including the front camera. PLEASE HELP ME I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT I DID WRONG.
i let my phone die and then i started working on it. but now the phone wont turn on., did i fry the battery? should i let it charge all night? i just tried to save a few hundred bucks but looks like im just gonna have to buy a new phone :(
Home button: about 10 seconds of heat gun on low.....hold about 6" away, moving in a circle. you can now carefully and slowly scrape under the flex and pry up

Great tutorial. I replace the regular iphone 8 screen, so there were a few small differences, but it was mostly the same.

Hi, does anyone know of a reputable source to purchase a home button from? I accidentally damaged mine while attempting to repair the screen

Thank you for this video! Saved me a lot of money
you shouldn't use metal when disconnecting the connections... especially for the battery. it can fry the battery

I don't know that I ever got to that part. the best thig to do is use your old cable as a guide if possible.

Do you have online training
Will a 7 plus waterproof work for an 8 plus?
Thanks a lot for this video. God bless you!
You're very welcome, I'm glad it helped!
Wait so those adhesives are for water resistancy? I've been told they are just adhesive and specifically that they don't provide water resistancy.
Thx a lot, especially for the part wie the screen adhesive
love the magnifcation. thank you
Thought on what to do if the screen does not come on?
Best replacement video ever 👌
Top drawer worked like a dream I used small flat head screwdriver to get home button off after heat was easy 😎
Thank you !
Great video !
I replaced my iPhone 8 Plus screen and I think I forgot to remove this plastic seal on the back of the new screen
No my iPhone keyboard is really laggy
Do you think there is a link????
Seems unlikely.
@@GoCellPhoneRepair oh ok thankyou
I have gotten used to it now so it doesnt really matter tnx
Excellent creation.Helpful. Nice detailed explanation
If u want to keep the phone water resistant, u should use a special liquid sealant available for the home button too.
You don't have to! It's like a rubber seal!
@@edgarescobedo3347 i put it in light and had some gaps so idk
Hello Sir. I think I stripped one of the side screw from the housing on the back cover. Any idea how to move it out?
I just replaced a screen today and thought that that sticky piece was part on the camera connector. I got scared 😂 but once I saw this video I was like thank God 😂
I used an impact gun on my iphone the same one i use for my big rigs lug nut to unscrew the screw. It just...it can do it all you know.
