    I've been using these exclusively for a little over a year. I absolutely love them! I does take a little while to get them dialed in though. I run a pair through an external mixer and they absolutely thump! Highly recommend! Great video.

    I bought a pair of these last October when they were on sale, for this summer’s wedding season. I’ve gotten really great feedback about the sound this year. Super happy I made the switch. Only switched cuz I was tired of hoisting speakers on stands, but I’ll admit I was nervous taking these to weddings. Not anymore tho. A pair of these are great for a 150-200 person event.

    The fact that the subwoofer doesn't go over a certain range makes this system great for indoor and small private parties so that the neighbors aren't disturbed. For outdoor events, let's just add an additional subwoofer and it is done.

    I really liked using this speaker. Crazy bass and it's powerful for just 1 speaker.

    Looks like a nice speaker. I absolutely love my pair of JBL PRX1s. Very easy to carry and setup. I chose the JBLs because it has eq, reverb and many other functions. These type of speakers have come a long way.

    Hi there,
    I came across your review because im looking for some info about this gear, possibly to buy.
    You said that the bass didn't go really far. Would you say that this is enough to make outdoor events (DJ) for 150/200 people?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @DjNinesworld
      @DjNinesworld  Рік тому +1

      The bass didn't throw much from 20-30ft when outdoors but thats expected. When its a wide open space the sound disperses in all directions especially the low end. Theres a few different factors that come into play for your question. How close will the people be from your setup/speakers? If they are within the range of 100 ft or closer you should be fine if you have 2 polar 12 units. What kind of music will your crowd want to hear more of? Will it be more EDM bass heavy songs? Or just your typical top 40 stuff? If its more of the heavy bass songs that they want to hear i wouldn't recommend this system unless your indoors. I would go with a traditional 2 tops(or more) 15 inch with a couple of bass bins. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching and good luck!

      It all depends on how far the crowd is from the speakers. Proximity is important but having an extra sub or two couldn't hurt either

      If you're considering anything like this in your living room, you must have a HUGE ASS living room!!!! But if you don't have a big living room, a pair of these will literally shake the whole house LOL

    Owned 2 HK 12s for about 15 months now. I absolutely love the sound. I had to get 2 of these. I need my stereo sound. I've had people who owned the larger BOSE systems say to me that these kick serious bass out. Of course, you'll never ever get someone who's a BOSE fan to say anything that would even imply that the HK may be better, so I'll accept any compliment. lol 1 is good but 2 is just over the top. I will say that if you're doing a room and it's a long room? You will need to employ some fill speakers or else the sound does drop off after 20-30 feet. Now, it's still loud, but you can talk to others. That's to be expected from most column arrays. I'm in the wedding and private party business, so the fact that sound can drop off is actually a positive since you want sound to be where the people are dancing and you want the people who are not dancing to be able to carry on a conversation. If I was running a bar, I would go with a conventional PA. BTW I am investing in a set of EV EVERSE 8's which are battery operated so I can provide side fill. I have some decent transmitter and receivers that can transmit the signal to the side fills. However Most rooms in St. John's are small to medium sized and the few larger rooms like the Delta Ballroom, Sheraton, The CLB and a few will have the DJ located in the centre of a side wall. Great video!

    I am look for a speaker for my rebounding classes. There are normally around 20 people in a class. I need my voice to be clear so clients can hear my instructions but I also need the music to be loud, clear and motivating without sounding noisy. Would you recommend this for my application. My concern is that you said that you were going to stick to your point source speakers (I don't know what this means) so maybe I should be getting point source speakers too.

    • @DjNinesworld
      @DjNinesworld  5 місяців тому

      Point source speakers are the traditional box type speakers that mount on top of speaker stands. The Hk is column array design. One of these polar 12s would definitely work for a 20 person class. Let me know what you end up getting. Thanks for the comment and goodluck!

      @@christbel4965 I wonder if you could narrow the gap in SPL by using a set of EVERSE 8's off to the sides, probably cost less and you got a wicket ceremony set of speakers you can take off the grid.

      @@DjNinesworld I remember that a selling point of the American DJ Jelly Fish was that they were supposed to be good for clamping on to a speaker stand below the speaker. Cheap enough to purchase 2 and light enough to not dig in to the pipe too much but damn I can't stand the look of "dot" lights, and having those flash into people's eyes doesn't help their cause.
