@@Minutemman True, but it's not abnormal for a single JDAM to be dropped for a single CAS engagement. While loitering for all coalition/ISAF forces.
The use of "heavy bomber" CAS has changed doctrine on CAS in the US military because of how devastating and effective it is with PGM, like JDAM guidance kits.

That crackling sound right before the bomb impact, is actually the bomb breaking the sound barrier. I've heard this on test impacts. It sounds like you're standing close to a lightning strike. Just that alone scares the crap out of you.

J.A.Ratt85 If we had to worry about human waves sure, no problem. But when you can drop a JDAM pinpoint in between 2 trees to take a dozen zealots to their paradise who needs napalm. We have used plenty of FAE Aka Thermobaric type weapons like BLU95s and 96s on caves. We even use Thermobaric SMAWs and Hellfires. FAE often don't look like much but to be on the receiving end, you don't want it be somewhere else.

it depends on what they want them to do. regular force would go on patrols and take out anything they need to along the way and sometimes be put on missions. SF would be sent on missions specifically. like to go take out an enemy compound

The thing is, moving freight by water is about 100 times more efficient than moving it by rail, and even more efficient than moving it by truck. That is figured on cost of fuel per mile to move a certain tonnage. I didn't do the figuring--the experts did. I just read it years ago. Thought I would pass it on to you.

AK-47's maybe not be the most aesthetically appealing weapons in some peoples opinion, but the reliability and power of them is undeniable. The main reason for it's overall reliability is it's "sloppiness" in it's bolt. As much as I enjoy fancy new guns, the old school ones are great all around.

(which probably won't ever happen because of the AK's reliability shits on the M4 and M16's reliability) then all squad members can easily replace parts without having to go through complications like, one squad member only has Saiga-12 parts, ETC.

the reson why we are struggling so much is because insurgencies are the hardest type of warfare in the modern world as we dont know who the enemy is and where they are located they use hit and run tactics with their IEDs and ambushes also if we were at war with any other modern professional military the war would have been over a long time ago as that is what our military more suited to fighting
