Wardak, Afghanistan -- During a BDA (Battle Damage Assessment) patrol to assess enemy KIA after 4 A-10 gun runs, Afghan forces engage Taliban fighters on a motorcycle. The initial engagement sparks a firefight that lasts 2 hours where over 3,000 rounds, 4 60mm mortars, and 4 Carl Gustav rounds are spent. There were no friendly casualties during this engagement.
The loud snapping sounds heard at the start of the video are caused by 7.62mm rounds flying overhead.

@@pinuprealized2757 I spoke with some former service members at gunshops. they said military issue equipment sucks. they always bring their own stuff and modify what ever parts they are allowed to . There are certain parts they are not allowed to touch tho according to these guys.

Sometimes when I feel bad for myself I watch videos like these to get some real perspective so i can suck it up. These guys are very inspiring. The way they stay so calm while bullets are whizzing past their bodies... It helps me to get over myself.

all soldiers are trained to use their right hand when firing their firearm but when they need to they are allowed to switch hands when they come up to a left corner or like in this video a little bump in the terrain, to show less of their body to the enemy.

i know they have to hold it with right hand my dad served and he was taught that he had to hold it in the right hand and the an-peq can be on any side they want it on
Blandgraph if the an peq was on the other side it would leave a blind spot and the extension would be too large for your hand
all of the magezine drop and stuff like that are on the left so u have to take of your shooting hand to drop the mag

Spec ops unit maybe? Don't they have a little more room to to wear Oakley's, add their own attachments to their rifles, etc?
On deployment you can bring your own accessory/furniture for the rifle that you assigned for as long as you don't mess with the function of the firearm like the upper, lower, bcg, and barrel. Couple of my Sergeants were actually issued M Rev PMAGS (windowed) on their deployments to Iraq/Afghanistan. But it is at the discretion of the commander but most of time they are lenient.
