- NAB 2024 interview with Ryan from Røde! We test the Interview Pro WIreless Mic!
I felt like it was a good initial test for this mic, using it in the way it was intended! Be sure to pay attention to the lower third and listen to the receiver into camera audio as well as the 32 bit float file that was recorded internally in the Interview Pro.

I’ve been super impressed with this one so far! The internal recording is nice but it held up really well in the insane NAB show floor environment 💪
I was definitely worried the receiver audio would have interference, but it did a good job!
Props for pulling that off in an environment like that. I tried to do that with my AES video and it was just TOO much to deal with.
When your latest Rode mic has more RAM than the Macbook you're considering buying.

Can you do a range test on Duo of the pro mic please. Compared to going into wireless receiver
My wheels are turning in my head for using gear “not as intended” for a little fun.
Man I really want to try using one for a completely wireless unboxing table that can record my audio on board AND wireless to computer for unboxing on a livestream and having on board recording to be used for a full review video later!

I am not sure if you are talking about being able to hear the environment or the artifacts that I have also noticed... That was the first time I ever held that mic 🤣
One thing I talked to them about afterward is that apparently the wireless signal is actually doing some sort of compression... I did notice a couple weird little ddips/issues when I was showing the receiver/Camera audio in this video. The internal audio seemed solid, but the wireless was iffy. It could have been the very intensely saturated 2.4ghz signals at NAB... but it didn't sound like traditional interference... so I don't know! I can't decide if I want to review this mic or not but I figured I'd show a "real life" interview / initial test for it.
