How raw is this audio? Meaning did you use an audio isolation feature on Premiere? Because that show floor is Loud and I'm impressed with how clean and uncompressed the interview sounds. I took a closer look yesterday and it's pretty nice. I was surprised at how light the mic weighs.

For the most part all I did in premiere was level it out to make sure the audio levels didn’t drastically change. I was talking a little bit louder than Ryan was but these mics did a great job.

What happens with the audio at 8:04? Is it the recording or did something go wrong in post?

Ha! Good catch. I think the auto leveler/enhance in Premiere actually had an oopsie and this wasn't on the recording side. I did not catch that one on my fast edit to get this out there! But can confirm it's not the Rode record but rather Adobe's fault ☺ I think it took some of the background noise of people speaking and just decided that it was us talking. Sadly UA-cam doesn't allow me to replace videos once they're uploaded without deleting them so we'll have to keep it as an easter egg for now.

@@zephanmoses so you used noise reduction on this clip? ( just wondering as @onocoffee how good is this mic... thanks )

@@massmedia_it very slight tweaks in premiere on the enhance options but mostly just a leveler since I was talking a little bit louder.

I'm wondering about the benefits of this (aside from battery life) vs using a regular Wireless Pro in an Interview Go handle

Different audio pickup patterns, longer battery life, 32 bit float if you don’t have the wireless pro. I can check with Ryan to get a more detailed answer but I think it’s just a different mic for a different purpose. Same thing with why not boom an interview vs. wire someone with a lav. Different strokes for different folks.

@@zephanmoses yeah we've got the Pro already, and always use one in a Go handle so I was trying to decide if it would be worth it. It looks better for sure, but it would be great to hear some audio comparisons and their take on it.
