It will get better. I crashed last March, breaking rib and shattering my clavicle. Took 9 months to get back on the bike, and gradually the pain turned into aches, which turned into stiffness, and then fades away.
Just because your riding experience is so different, and competitive, so couldn't imagine you riding partypace! Been folllowing Russ and Laura for years.
Been following your adventures for a while, not as long as Russ nd Laura. Must say after my elbow injury I never could fully straighten my arm. Lost a few degrees! I didn't have surgery as as my bone was split, it just had to let it heal!
While you're in the Girona sunshine J, grab some outdoor kettlebell circuits to strengthen the arm ! Few swings & raises If you drop it on a toe, it'll redirect the pain 🎵 Everybody hurts Sometimes 🎵
Juliet, your an inspiration. Cycling outside in Girona is way better than cycling indoors (even though you were riding in the old gcn training video I just used 😊 ).
Great to see you out on the bike. Please consider an Insta 360 camera with a handlebar mount then you can keep 2 hands on the bars when doing your bits to camera? Just an idea to keep you upright 😉 and one piece.🤞
I'm originally from Germany, and I am living in California for the last 20 years. While it was a little freezing in the morning at 7AM, the sun came out and the temperate rose quickly. Nothing better than a sunny day in January. Spain is the ideal destination to escape England.
You did the smart thing by not riding in poor conditions. Not bringing the trainer wasn't the best, but you were with family. Enjoy your time with them as to can. Speaking of arm pain, a 50 year old injury has come back in a major way. Hopefully, stretching and strength training will help.
I hope the pain gets better in your elbow. Are you getting physical therapy for it? Or you are done with that? I wish you the best for a full recovery.
Could you share a link to the route if possible? I'm for Girona in May for some Gravel riding and any decent routes would be appreciated. Absolutely love Girona. This will be my third time going and actually I seen you a few times when I was there two years ago. I'm always on the lookout for some 50k routes and that one looks ideal. Please share a link.
How about you pan yr camera around the tempting , appetising, Italian cakes on offer in yr cafe stops, food being like works of art in that country, Juliet ? .....would make such a change from the cyclists' usual choice of.... flapjack ! 😮 ......but on the other hand, such Italian artisan cakes, might make it harder to bear the Derbyshire winter here, with the same old flapjack in the cyclists' cafe's 😮
First, you're awesome. We all love you, and you're always endearing and often inspiring! Maybe for our sakes, "the viewers who care" if you will, STOP with the one-handed filming for a few months or so (just to give the arm a bit more time)!? Peace! -Greg
Elbow injuries are unlike any other injury you can experience and requires professional advice to accomplish the best possible recovery.Little if any well-meaning advice one receives in UA-cam comments
Glad to see Russ and Laura have reached out!!

Fab to see you back out on the bike and so happy! Great idea to escape the cold! ☃
Jon at trainsharp. Good ‘ol boy. Sounds like he has you on a good plan. 🤘
Your positive attitude is an inspiration.

Suffering through Wisco winter! Want to go to Girona really bad! Hopefully one day. Glad to see you feeling better
Need more sunshine! We have similar weather in Maryland, 1 foot of snow, but days are getting longer, one day closer to spring!
Happy to see you back on your bike!!!
Thanks!
Great you are back on track so to speak. Wish I could put a back wheel on as easily as you!
Love Girona - my only regret was not bringing a bike! The coast road from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu is so beautiful (even in a car!)
Been looking forward to your Girona visit, we are going in April and never been before. So interested to see where you go
enjoy 😊
They do Party Pace!!

You're in our back yard! :)
No way! Would have been great to meet you!
I have been to Girona all the way from New Zealand. My wife was not sure about it but our time there.
Love your videos, they just make me happy and I don't even ride a bike… Yet😊❤

Happy cycling, Juliet! I envy the warmer climes. But, the kisses at the end will do! : )
just grand to see your smile again!

Good call!! Nothing but ice in the UK...
your joy is contagious
Bones heal to a strength similar to their original strength which is great but be careful. Great video.
Girona is such a lovely place, even aside from the cycling. How is the drought? The river still looked pretty low....
You, Francis and friends need to come to New Zealand for a couple of months.

I have to say, if you would get into paragliding, I would love to watch your vlogs even more! :)
Spiked tyres for the winter.
Beer with a loved one is never a waste. 👍
keep working on the arm movement. It takes while, but getting back the freedom of motion is really important. Hope you continue to recover well!
How are the range of motion problems with your arm?
I hope the pain gets better in your elbow. Are you getting physical therapy for it? Or you are done with that? I wish you the best for a full recovery.
thank you. I'm doing physical therapy myself, I just do the exercises at home or in the gym by myself

Arm is looking good

Thank you and thanks for your concern! I hear you, but it wasn’t one handed filming that caused my accident - just saying! I’ll be careful 👍

May be you should take collagen or glucosamine sulfate for better recovery.

Do you wear elbow pads now, or some protection for your arms.,🚴🚴🚴
I will for mountain biking but not for gravel or road
Cycling youtubers are always abroad.
You’re also working on flexibility, nerve resilience and muscle mass development by cycling instead of sitting around.
