Yes you need to know what is local. Our HOA is doing just fine. My homeowners with Citizens went down this year $12. But it did not go up. It is still twice what I pay on my home in the northeast. On electric, the companies like Duke Energy charge more for electric. You need to see the electric bill for the home if you can. My electric company is a Co-OP and the rates are reasonable. You need to do a video on how the buyers agent gets paid. Buyers need to know how this now work.
With rising costs, insurance, HOA fees, maintenance, etc, there's a direct inverse effect on home prices - house lose value. Add to that the many more people who want to sell. All in all, if you wait a bit longer you can buy a Florida house for much less, and it will be a wash with additional costs. I doubt costs will go down in the long run. So prices of houses will be much much lower, to compensate.
HOA in, “On Top of the World” in Ocala is $530! This on top of the doubling of property insurance, home owners insurance and car insurance, seniors are drowning!
Not in all of On Top of The World. There are different areas in On Top of The World and some are half that amount. It's different there with different neighborhoods.
