Former church guitarist with a best friend that still drums in worship bands here, I picked it up right away too, but couldn't put a finger on it. I loved this song but I couldn't figure out why it felt like a religious experience. (Thankfully, we had a healthy setlist and plenty of folks who wanted something different, so it wasn't How He Loves all the damn time, that sounds like torture)
Yknow, the meaning of the song and it's lyrics is basically a like prayer. Like someone who's made mistakes and trying to live again... Like a demon that's gradually turning into an angel...
