    • @Thies_Gruenewald
      @Thies_Gruenewald  10 місяців тому +1

      I would no call this a real grade. But as a starting point: i normally overexpose the image about 1 stop and then (because i‘m using the bmpcc4k) apply a special conversion lut by robert hense (s21 it is called). Then adjust the scopes in lumetri and then for final touches add some grain with nitrate. All inside premiere in this case 🤷‍♂️

    Really lovely work, My advice for you is to stabilize your shot AFTER the CG is done and well integrated into your shot that way you get a much better solve (that's because wrap stabilizer basically distorts the shot in order to stabilize it and therefore makes it harder to solve appropriately by the 3D tracker )
    Thank you for sharing this piece of content mate your work is splendid :))

    • @Thies_Gruenewald
      @Thies_Gruenewald  10 місяців тому +2

      Thanks for your wise advice 😊 yeah, there is a lot of improvement needed. My biggest mistake is the lens distortion, so that the elements are sleepery, even with a perfect track. I will take care of your advice too, thanks once Again 🙋🏼‍♂️

    • @madjidbouharis729
      @madjidbouharis729 10 місяців тому

      @@Thies_Gruenewald you're welcome mate; yes you should've undistorted your shot before but I really didn't notice any major problem with that, I have no idea how you could do that in AE as I usually do my workflow around Nuke sorry :/ but the idea is to undistort track and do everything at the end of the chain you apply a REdistort to have that back good luck

    • @MrJemabaris
      @MrJemabaris 9 місяців тому +1

      It's not that hard actually. You would simply shoot a distortion grid, which you can find online and print out , with the lens you are planing to use. Bring the shot into the software you'll do your compositing and undistort the grid. In AE that could be done with the Optics compensation effect. Then copy the settings used to undistort the grid onto the shot you wanna use for your vfx and render it out. I would always recommend a .png sequence for tracking as some video codecs don't encode each and every frame the same way, which can throw your camera tracker off. In the last step of your compositing you can then reapply the distortion with inverted settings in the Optics compensation effect.
      I would also suggest that you give the Blender camera tracker a try. When used properly it produces way better results than the AE tracker. You also don't get any weird scaling issues as can happen with AEBlend and imho it's in general better to stay inside one software when possible. Also you can completely skip the undistorting process often times as the Blender tracker is able to calculate the amount of distortion in your shot and gives you the option of rendering out your 3d animation with the distortion directly applied. @@madjidbouharis729

    and how u deploy result of render blender to the video?
    thanks

    • @Thies_Gruenewald
      @Thies_Gruenewald  2 місяці тому

      Because this was a „Day-shot“ the render settings were not that crazy. Cycles, Samples between 512-1024, noise threshold at 0,01 and motion blur enabled ;)
      Normally i would render out different Passes (Beauty, shadow, Mist, AO), but because I was playing around with the z-depth pass in davinci, i ended up render out only the beauty pass 😉

    May I ask that after you animate the drone in blender, did you render it out as png seq and import in AE for final compositing or you did something else? Thanks

    • @Thies_Gruenewald

      Yep correct! I rendered out the drone with the shadow Catcher (PNG, RGBA, 16Bit, uncompressed) and Composite all the different passes in AE. Maybe Not the cleanest workflow, but it works 👍
